Sprüche 19

1 Besser ein Armer, der in seiner Vollkommenheit wandelt, als wer verkehrter Lippen und dabei ein Tor ist.2 Auch Unkenntnis der Seele ist nicht gut; und wer mit den Füßen hastig ist, tritt fehl.3 Die Narrheit des Menschen verdirbt seinen Weg, und sein Herz grollt wider Jehova.4 Reichtum verschafft viele Freunde; aber der Arme, sein Freund trennt sich von ihm.5 Ein falscher Zeuge wird nicht für schuldlos gehalten werden; und wer Lügen ausspricht, wird nicht entrinnen.6 Viele schmeicheln einem Edlen, und alle sind Freunde des Mannes, der Geschenke gibt.7 Alle Brüder des Armen hassen ihn; wieviel mehr entfernen sich von ihm seine Freunde! Er jagt Worten nach, die nichts sind.8 Wer Verstand erwirbt, liebt seine Seele; wer auf Verständnis achtet, wird Glück erlangen.9 Ein falscher Zeuge wird nicht für schuldlos gehalten werden, und wer Lügen ausspricht, wird umkommen.10 Nicht geziemt einem Toren Wohlleben; wieviel weniger einem Knechte, über Fürsten zu herrschen!11 Die Einsicht eines Menschen macht ihn langmütig, und sein Ruhm ist es, Vergehung zu übersehen.12 Des Königs Zorn ist wie das Knurren eines jungen Löwen, aber sein Wohlgefallen wie Tau auf das Gras.13 Ein törichter Sohn ist Verderben für seinen Vater; und die Zänkereien eines Weibes sind eine beständige Traufe.14 Haus und Gut sind ein Erbteil der Väter, aber eine einsichtsvolle Frau kommt von Jehova.15 Faulheit versenkt in tiefen Schlaf, und eine lässige Seele wird hungern.16 Wer das Gebot bewahrt, bewahrt seine Seele; wer seine Wege verachtet, wird sterben.17 Wer des Armen sich erbarmt, leiht Jehova; und er wird ihm seine Wohltat vergelten.18 Züchtige deinen Sohn, weil noch Hoffnung da ist; aber trachte nicht danach, ihn zu töten.19 Wer jähzornig ist, muß dafür büßen; denn greifst du auch ein, so machst du's nur noch schlimmer.20 Höre auf Rat und nimm Unterweisung an, damit du weise seiest in der Zukunft.21 Viele Gedanken sind in dem Herzen eines Mannes; aber der Ratschluß Jehovas, er kommt zustande.22 Die Willigkeit des Menschen macht seine Mildtätigkeit aus, und besser ein Armer als ein lügnerischer Mann.23 Die Furcht Jehovas ist zum Leben; und gesättigt verbringt man die Nacht, wird nicht heimgesucht vom Übel.24 Hat der Faule seine Hand in die Schüssel gesteckt, nicht einmal zu seinem Munde bringt er sie zurück.25 Schlägst du den Spötter, so wird der Einfältige klug; und weist man den Verständigen zurecht, so wird er Erkenntnis verstehen.26 Wer den Vater zu Grunde richtet, die Mutter verjagt, ist ein Sohn, der Schande und Schmach bringt.27 Laß ab, mein Sohn, auf Unterweisung zu hören, die abirren macht von den Worten der Erkenntnis.28 Ein Belialszeuge spottet des Rechts, und der Mund der Gesetzlosen verschlingt Unheil.29 Für die Spötter sind Gerichte bereit, und Schläge für den Rücken der Toren.

Proverbs 19

1 Better is a poor person who walks in his integritys
than one who is perverse in his speecht and is a fool.s

2 It is dangeroust to have zealt without knowledge,
and the one who acts hastilyt makes poor choices.ts

3 A person’s follyt subvertsts his way,
andt his heart ragess against the Lord.

4 Wealth adds many friends,
but a poor person is separatedt from his friend.s

5 A false witnesst will not go unpunished,
and the one who spouts outt lies will not escape punishment.ts

6 Many people entreat the favorts of a generous person,t
and everyone is the friends of the person who gives gifts.t

7 All the relativest of a poor person hate him;t
how much more do his friends avoid him –
he pursues themt with words, but they do not respond.t

8 The one who acquires wisdomt loves himself;t
the one who preserves understanding will prosper.t

9 A false witness will not go unpunished,
and the one who spouts outt lies will perish.s

10 Luxury is not appropriatet for a fool;s
how much less for a servant to rule over princes!s

11 A person’s wisdomt makes him slow to anger,t
and it is his glorys to overlooktss an offense.

12 A king’s wrath is likes the roar of a lion,t
but his favor is like dew on the grass.s

13 A foolish childt is the ruin of his father,
and a contentious wifet is liket a constant dripping.s

14 A house and wealth are inherited from parents,t
but a prudent wifes is from the Lord.

15 Laziness brings ont a deep sleep,t
and the idle persont will go hungry.s

16 The one who obeys commandments guardst his life;
the one who despises his wayss will die.s

17 The one who is graciouss to the poor lendst to the Lord,
and the Lordt will repay hims for his good deed.t

18 Discipline your child, fort there is hope,
but do not set your heartt on causing his death.t

19 A person with great anger bears the penalty,s
but if you deliver him from it once, you will have to do it again.t

20 Listen to advices and receive discipline,
thatt you may become wiset by the end of your life.t

21 There are many planss in a person’s mind,t
but itt is the counselts of the Lord which will stand.

22 What is desirablet for a person is to show loyal love,t
and a poor person is better than a liar.s

23 Fearing the Lordt leadst to life,t
and one who does so will livet satisfied; he will not be afflictedt by calamity.

24 The sluggard plungest his hand in the dish,
and he will not even bring it back to his mouth!s

25 Flogt a scorner, and as a result the simpletons will learn prudence;s
correct a discerning person, and as a result he will understand knowledge.ts

26 The one who robst his fathers and chases away his mother
is a sont who brings shame and disgrace.

27 If you stop listening tot instruction, my child,
you will strayt from the words of knowledge.

28 A crooked witnessts scorns justice,
and the mouth of the wicked devourst iniquity.

29 Judgmentss are prepared for scorners,
and floggings for the backs of fools.
