Châm-ngôn 29

1 Người nào bị quở trách thường, lại cứng cổ mình, Sẽ bị bại hoại thình lình, không phương cứu chữa.2 Khi người công bình thêm nhiều lên, thì dân sự vui mừng; Nhưng khi kẻ ác cai trị, dân sự lại rên siết.3 Người ưa mến sự khôn ngoan làm cho cha mình được vui vẻ; Còn kẻ kết bạn với người kỵ nữ phá tan của cải mình.4 Vua nhờ sự công bình mà làm nước mình vững bền; Nhưng ai lãnh của hối lộ hủy hoại nó.5 Người nào dua nịnh kẻ lân cận mình, Giăng lưới trước bước người.6 Trong tội lỗi của kẻ ác có một cái bẫy, Nhưng người công bình ca hát mừng rỡ.7 Người công bình xét cho biết duyên cớ của kẻ nghèo khổ; Còn kẻ ác không có trí hiểu để biết đến.8 Kẻ nhạo báng châm lửa cho thành thiêu cháy; Nhưng người khôn ngoan làm nguôi cơn giận.9 Nếu người khôn ngoan tranh luận với kẻ ngu muội, Dầu người giận hay cười, cũng chẳng an hòa được.10 Kẻ làm đổ huyết ghét người trọn vẹn; Nhưng người ngay thẳng bảo tồn mạng sống người.11 Kẻ ngu muội tỏ ra sự nóng giận mình; Nhưng người khôn ngoan nguôi lấp nó và cầm giữ nó lại.12 Nếu vua lắng tai nghe lời giả dối, Thì các tôi tớ người trở nên gian ác.13 Kẻ nghèo khổ và người hà hiếp đều gặp nhau; Đức Giê-hô-va làm sáng mắt cho cả hai.14 Vua nào theo sự chân thật mà xét đoán kẻ nghèo khổ, Ngôi người sẽ được vững bền đời đời.15 Roi vọt và sự quở trách ban cho sự khôn ngoan; Còn con trẻ phóng túng làm mất cỡ cho mẹ mình.16 Khi kẻ ác thêm, thì tội lỗi cũng thêm; Nhưng người công bình sẽ thấy sự sa ngã chúng nó,17 Hãy sửa phạt con người, thì nó sẽ ban sự an tịnh cho người, Và làm cho linh hồn người được khoái lạc.18 Đâu thiếu sự mặc thị, dân sự bèn phóng tứ; Nhưng ai giữ gìn luật pháp lấy làm có phước thay!19 Chẳng phải bởi lời nói mà sửa trị kẻ làm tội; Vì dầu nó hiểu biết, nó cũng không vâng theo.20 Con có thấy kẻ hốp tốp trong lời nói mình chăng? Một kẻ ngu muội còn có sự trông cậy hơn hắn.21 Người nào dung dưỡng kẻ tôi tớ mình từ thuở nhỏ, Ngày sau sẽ thấy nó thành con trai của nhà.22 Người hay giận gây ra điều tranh cạnh; Và kẻ căm gan phạm tội nhiều thay.23 Sự kiêu ngạo của người sẽ làm hạ người xuống; Nhưng ai có lòng khiêm nhượng sẽ được tôn vinh.24 Kẻ nào chia phần với tay ăn trộm ghét linh hồn mình; Nó nghe lời thề, mà không tỏ điều gì ra.25 Sự sợ loài người gài bẫy; Nhưng ai nhờ cậy Đức Giê-hô-va được yên ổn vô sự.26 Nhiều kẻ cầu ơn vua; Song sự lý đoán của người nào do nơi Đức Giê-hô-va mà đến.27 Kẻ gian tà lấy làm gớm ghiếc cho người công bình; Và người ăn ở ngay thẳng lấy làm gớm ghiếc cho kẻ gian ác.

Proverbs 29

1 The one who stiffens his neckt after numerous rebukest
will suddenly be destroyeds without remedy.t

2 When the righteous become numerous,t the people rejoice;
when the wicked rule, the people groan.t

3 The mant who loves wisdom brings joy to his father,t
but whoever associatest with prostitutes wastest his wealth.s

4 A king brings stabilityt to a landt by justice,
but one who exacts tributet tears it down.

5 The onet who flattersts his neighbor
spreads a nets for his steps.t

6 In the transgression of an evil person there is a snare,t
but a righteous person can sings and rejoice.s

7 The righteous person cares fort the legal rightst of the poor;
the wicked does not understand sucht knowledge.

8 Scornful peoplet inflamet a city,t
but those who are wise turn away wrath.

9 If a wise persont goes to courtt with a foolish person,
there is no peacets whether he is angry or laughs.t

10 Bloodthirsty peoplet hate someone with integrity;s
as for the upright, they seek his life.t

11 A fool lets fly with all his temper,t
but a wise person keeps it back.t

12 If a ruler listens tots lies,t
all his ministerst will be wicked.s

13 The poor person and the oppressort have this in common:t
the Lord gives lights to the eyes of them both.

14 If a king judges the poor in truth,t
his thrones will be established forever.

15 A rod and reprooft impartt wisdom,
but a child who is unrestrainedt brings shames to his mother.s

16 When the wicked increase,t transgression increases,
but the righteous will sees their downfall.

17 Discipline your child, and he will give you rest;t
he will bring yout happiness.s

18 When there is no prophetic visiont the people cast off restraint,t
but the one who keeps the law,s blessed is he!t

19 A servants cannot be correctedt by words,
for althought he understands, there is no answer.s

20 Do you see someonet who is hasty in his words?s
There is more hope for a fool than for him.s

21 Ift someone pampers his servant from youth,
he will be a weaklingt in the end.

22 An angry persont stirs up dissension,
and a wrathful persont is abounding in transgression.t

23 A person’s pridet will bring him low,t
but one who has a lowly spiritts will gain honor.

24 Whoever shares with a thiefs is his own enemy;t
he hears the oath to testify,ts but does not talk.

25 The fear of peoplet becomest a snare,s
but whoever trusts in the Lord will be set on high.s

26 Many people seek the faces of a ruler,
but it is from the Lord that one receives justice.t

27 An unjust person is an abomination to the righteous,
and the one who lives an upright life is an abomination to the wicked.ts
