Salmos 32

1 *Dichoso aquel
a quien se le perdonan sus transgresiones, a quien se le borran sus pecados. 2 Dichoso aquel
a quien el Señor no toma en cuenta su maldad
y en cuyo espíritu no hay engaño. 3 Mientras guardé silencio,
mis huesos se fueron consumiendo por mi gemir de todo el día. 4 Mi fuerza se fue debilitando
como al calor del verano, porque día y noche tu mano pesaba sobre mí. *Selah 5 Pero te confesé mi pecado,
y no te oculté mi maldad. Me dije: «Voy a confesar mis transgresiones al Señor»,
y tú perdonaste mi maldad y mi pecado. Selah 6 Por eso los fieles te invocan
en momentos de angustia;s
caudalosas aguas podrán desbordarse, pero a ellos no los alcanzarán. 7 Tú eres mi refugio;
tú me protegerás del peligro y me rodearás con cánticos de liberación. Selah 8 El Señor dice:
«Yo te instruiré, yo te mostraré el *camino que debes seguir; yo te daré consejos y velaré por ti. 9 No seas como el mulo o el caballo,
que no tienen discernimiento, y cuyo brío hay que domar con brida y freno, para acercarlos a ti.» 10 Muchas son las calamidades de los malvados,
pero el gran amor del Señor
envuelve a los que en él confían. 11 ¡Alégrense, ustedes los justos;
regocíjense en el Señor!
¡canten todos ustedes, los rectos de *corazón!

PSALMS 32

The Joy of Forgiveness

1  t Our [Lord], you bless everyone
whose sins you forgive
and wipe away.

2 You bless them by saying,
“You told me your sins,
without trying to hide them,
and now I forgive you.”

3 Before I confessed my sins,
my bones felt limp,
and I groaned all day long.

4 Night and day your hand
weighed heavily on me,
and my strength was gone
as in the summer heat.

5 So I confessed my sins
and told them all to you.
I said, “I'll tell the [Lord]
each one of my sins.”
Then you forgave me
and took away my guilt.

6 We worship you, Lord,
and we should always pray
whenever we find out
that we have sinned.t
Then we won't be swept away
by a raging flood.

7 You are my hiding place!
You protect me from trouble,
and you put songs in my heart
because you have saved me.

8 You said to me,
“I will point out the road
that you should follow.
I will be your teacher
and watch over you.

9 Don't be stupid
like horses and mules
that must be led with ropes
to make them obey.”

10 All kinds of troubles
will strike the wicked,
but your kindness shields those
who trust you, [Lord].

11 And so your good people
should celebrate and shout.
