第4篇

1 わたしの義を助け守られる神よ、わたしが呼ばわる時、お答えください。あなたはわたしが悩んでいた時、わたしをくつろがせてくださいました。わたしをあわれみ、わたしの祈をお聞きください。2 人の子らよ、いつまでわたしの誉をはずかしめるのか。いつまでむなしい言葉を愛し、偽りを慕い求めるのか。[セラ3 しかしあなたがたは知るがよい、主は神を敬う人をご自分のために聖別されたことを。主はわたしが呼ばわる時におききくださる。4 あなたがたは怒っても、罪を犯してはならない。床の上で静かに自分の心に語りなさい。[セラ5 義のいけにえをささげて主に寄り頼みなさい。6 多くの人は言う、「どうか、わたしたちに良い事が見られるように。主よ、どうか、み顔の光をわたしたちの上に照されるように」と。7 あなたがわたしの心にお与えになった喜びは、穀物と、ぶどう酒の豊かな時の喜びにまさるものでした。8 わたしは安らかに伏し、また眠ります。主よ、わたしを安らかにおらせてくださるのは、ただあなただけです。

1 When I call out, answer me,
O God who vindicates me!
Though I am hemmed in, you will lead me into a wide, open place.
Have mercy on me and respond to my prayer!

2 You men, how long will you try to turn my honor into shame?
How long will you love what is worthless
and search for what is deceptive? (Selah)

3 Realize that the Lord shows the godly special favor;
the Lord responds when I cry out to him.

4 Tremble with fear and do not sin!
Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! (Selah)

5 Offer the prescribed sacrifices
and trust in the Lord!

6 Many say, “Who can show us anything good?”
Smile upon us, Lord!

7 You make me happier
than those who have abundant grain and wine.

8 I will lie down and sleep peacefully,
for you, Lord, make me safe and secure.
