Salmos 66

1 ¡Aclamen alegres a Dios,
habitantes de toda la tierra! 2 Canten salmos a su glorioso *nombre;
¡ríndanle gloriosas alabanzas! 3 Díganle a Dios:
«¡Cuán imponentes son tus obras! Es tan grande tu poder que tus enemigos mismos se rinden ante ti. 4 Toda la tierra se postra en tu presencia,
y te cantan salmos; cantan salmos a tu nombre.» *Selah 5 ¡Vengan y vean las proezas de Dios,
sus obras portentosas en nuestro favor! 6 Convirtió el mar en tierra seca,
y el pueblo cruzó el río a pie. ¡Regocijémonos en él! 7 Con su poder gobierna eternamente;
sus ojos vigilan a las naciones. ¡Que no se levanten contra él los rebeldes! Selah 8 Pueblos todos, bendigan a nuestro Dios,
hagan oír la voz de su alabanza. 9 Él ha protegido nuestra vida,
ha evitado que resbalen nuestros pies. 10 Tú, oh Dios, nos has puesto a prueba;
nos has purificado como a la plata. 11 Nos has hecho caer en una red;
¡pesada carga nos has echado a cuestas! 12 Las caballerías nos han aplastado la cabeza;
hemos pasado por el fuego y por el agua, pero al fin nos has dado un respiro. 13 Me presentaré en tu templo con *holocaustos
y cumpliré los votos que te hice, 14 los votos de mis labios y mi boca
que pronuncié en medio de mi angustia. 15 Te ofreceré holocaustos de animales engordados,
junto con el humo de ofrendas de carneros; te ofreceré toros y machos cabríos. Selah 16 Vengan ustedes, temerosos de Dios,
escuchen, que voy a contarles todo lo que él ha hecho por mí. 17 Clamé a él con mi boca;
lo alabé con mi lengua. 18 Si en mi *corazón hubiera yo abrigado maldad,
el *Señor no me habría escuchado; 19 pero Dios sí me ha escuchado,
ha atendido a la voz de mi plegaria. 20 ¡Bendito sea Dios,
que no rechazó mi plegaria ni me negó su amor!

PSALMS 66

Shout Praises to God

1 Tell everyone on this earth
to shout praises to God!

2 Sing about his glorious name.
Honor him with praises.

3 Say to God, “Everything you do
is fearsome,
and your mighty power makes
your enemies come crawling.

4 You are worshiped by everyone!
We all sing praises to you.”

5 Come and see the fearsome things
our God has done!

6  t When God made the sea dry up,
our people walked across,
and because of him,
we celebrated there.

7 His mighty power rules forever,
and nothing the nations do
can be hidden from him.
So don't turn against God.

8 All of you people,
come praise our God!
Let his praises be heard.

9 God protects us from death
and keeps us steady.

10 Our God, you tested us,
just as silver is tested.

11 You trapped us in a net
and gave us heavy burdens.

12 You sent war chariots
to crush our skulls.
We traveled through fire
and through floods,
but you brought us
to a land of plenty.

13 I will bring sacrifices
into your house, my God,
and I will do what I promised

14 when I was in trouble.

15 I will sacrifice my best sheep
and offer bulls and goats
on your altar.

16 All who worship God,
come here and listen;
I will tell you everything
God has done for me.

17 I prayed to the Lord,
and I praised him.

18 If my thoughts had been sinful,
he would have refused
to hear me.

19 But God did listen
and answered my prayer.

20 Let's praise God!
He listened when I prayed,
and he is always kind.
