Apocalipsa 12

Femeia și balaurul

1 În cer s-a văzut un semn mare: o femeie învăluită în soare, având luna sub picioare, iar pe cap o coroană de douăsprezece stele,2 era însărcinată și striga în durerile și suferința nașterii.3 În cer s-a văzut un alt semn: iată că un balaurt mare, roșu, cu șapte capete și zece coarne, având pe capete șapte diademe,4 a târât cu coada lui a treia parte din stelele cerului și le-a aruncat pe pământ. Balaurul a stat înaintea femeii care urma să nască, pentru ca, atunci când copilul se va naște, să-l mănânce.5 Ea a născut un fiu, un băiat, care are să conducă toate neamurile cu un sceptru de fier. Copilul ei a fost răpit la Dumnezeu, la tronul Său.6 Iar femeia a fugit în deșert, unde avea un loc pregătit de Dumnezeu, pentru ca acolo să poată fi hrănită timp de o mie două sute șaizeci de zilet.

7 În cer a avut loc un război. Mihail și îngerii lui s-au războit cu balaurul. Balaurul și îngerii lui s-au războit și ei ,8 dar nu au putut învinge și locul lor nu li s-a mai găsit în cer.9 Marele balaur a fost aruncat, și anume șarpele cel vechi, numit diavolul și Satan, cel care înșală întreaga omenire, a fost aruncat pe pământ, iar împreună cu el au fost aruncați și îngerii lui.

10 Apoi am auzit în cer un glas puternic spunând:
„Acum au venit mântuirea, puterea,
Împărăția Dumnezeului nostru
și autoritatea Cristosuluit Său,
căci acuzatorult fraților noștri a fost aruncat,
a fost aruncat cel care îi acuza înaintea Dumnezeului nostru zi și noapte.

11 Ei l-au învins prin sângele Mielului
și prin cuvântul mărturiei lor;
ei nu și-au iubit viața, chiar până la moarte.

12 De aceea, bucurați-vă ceruri
și voi, cei ce locuiți în ele!
Vai de voi, pământ și mare,
pentru că diavolul a coborât la voi
cuprins de o mare furie,
fiindcă știe că are puțin timp!“

13 Când balaurul a văzut că a fost aruncat pe pământ, a urmărit-o pe femeia care născuse băiatul.14 Femeii i s-au dat două aripi mari de vultur, ca să zboare în deșert, în locul pregătit pentru ea, unde să fie hrănită o vreme, vremi și jumătatea unei vremit, departe de fața șarpelui.15 Șarpele a aruncat din gura lui apă, ca un râu, după femeie, pentru ca s-o ducă râul,16 dar pământul a venit în ajutorul femeii; și-a deschis gura și a înghițit râul pe care-l aruncase balaurul din gură.17 Atunci balaurul s-a mâniat pe femeie și s-a dus să poarte război cu rămășița semințeit ei, cei care păzesc poruncile lui Dumnezeu și țin mărturia lui Isus.18 Apoi a statt pe țărmul mării.

REVELATION 12

The Woman and the Dragon

1 Something important appeared in the sky. It was a woman whose clothes were the sun. The moon was under her feet, and a crown made of twelve stars was on her head.

2 She was about to give birth, and she was crying because of the great pain.
3  t Something else appeared in the sky. It was a huge red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and a crown on each of its seven heads.

4 t With its tail, it dragged a third of the stars from the sky and threw them down to the earth. Then the dragon turned toward the woman, because it wanted to eat her child as soon as it was born.
5  t The woman gave birth to a son, who would rule all nations with an iron rod. The boy was snatched away. He was taken to God and placed on his throne.

6 The woman ran into the desert to a place that God had prepared for her. There she would be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Michael Fights the Dragon

10 t Then I heard a voice from heaven shout,
“Our God has shown
his saving power,
and his kingdom has come!
God's own Chosen One
has shown his authority.
Satan accused our people
in the presence of God
day and night.
Now he has been thrown out!

11 “Our people defeated Satan
because of the bloodt
of the Lamb
and the message of God.
They were willing
to give up their lives.

12 “The heavens should rejoice,
together with everyone
who lives there.
But pity the earth
and the sea,
because the devil
was thrown down
to the earth.
He knows his time is short,
and he is very angry.”
13 When the dragon realized it had been thrown down to the earth, it tried to make trouble for the woman who had given birth to a son.

14 t But the woman was given two wings like those of a huge eagle, so she could fly into the desert. There she would escape from the snake and be taken care of for a time, two times, and half a time.
15 The snake then spewed out water like a river to sweep the woman away. 16 But the earth helped her and swallowed the water that had come from the dragon's mouth. 17 This made the dragon terribly angry with the woman. So it started a war against the rest of her children. They are the people who obey God and are faithful to what Jesus did and taught. 18 The dragont stood on the beach beside the sea.
