Jelenések 16

1 És hangos szózatot hallottam a templomból, amely ezt mondta a hét angyalnak: „Menjetek el, öntsétek ki Isten haragjának hét poharát a földre“.

2 Elment azért az első és kiöntötte poharát a földre, és gonosz, ártalmas fekély támadt azokon az embereken, akiken a fenevad bélyege volt és imádták annak képét.

3 A második angyal is kiöntötte poharát a tengerbe, az olyan lett, mint a halott vére, és minden élőlény meghalt a tengerben.
4 A harmadik angyal is kiöntötte poharát a folyóvizekbe és a vizek forrásaiba, és azok vérré változtak.5 És hallottam, hogy a vizek angyala ezt mondta: „Igaz vagy, Uram, aki vagy, aki voltál. Szent vagy, hogy így ítéltél.6 Mert a szentek és próféták vérét ontották, Te is vért adtál nekik inni, mert megérdemelték.“

7 És hallottam, hogy az oltár ezt mondta: „Jól van, Uram, mindenható Isten, igazak és igazságosak a te ítéleteid“.
8 A negyedik angyal is kitöltötte poharát a napra és megadatott neki, hogy tűzzel gyötörje az embereket.

9 Az emberek gyötrődtek a nagy hőség miatt, és Isten nevét káromolták, akinek hatalma volt e csapások felett, és nem tértek meg, hogy Neki dicsőséget adjanak.
10 Az ötödik angyal is kitöltötte poharát a fenevad királyi székére, és országa elsötétült és nyelvüket rágták kínjukban.

11 És káromolták a menny Istenét kínjaik és a fekélyek miatt és nem tértek meg cselekedeteikből.
12 A hatodik angyal is kitöltötte poharát a nagy folyóvízre, az Eufráteszre, és kiszáradt annak vize, hogy a napkelet felől jövő királyoknak út készüljön.13 És láttam a sárkány szájából és a fenevad szájából és a hamis próféta szájából három tisztátalan lelket kijönni, olyanok voltak, mint a békák.14 Mert ördögi lelkek azok, akik jeleket tesznek, akik elmennek a földnek és az egész világnak királyaihoz, hogy egybegyűjtsék azokat a mindenható Isten ama nagy napjának viadalára.15 „Íme, eljövök, mint a tolvaj. Boldog, aki vigyáz és őrzi ruháját, hogy ne járjon mezítelenül, és meg ne lássák szégyenét.“

16 Egybegyűjtötték azért őket arra a helyre, amelyet zsidóul Harmagedónnak neveznek.
17 A hetedik angyal is kitöltötte poharát a levegőbe, és hangos szózat jött a mennyei templom királyi székétől, amely ezt mondta: „Megtörtént!“18 Ekkor zúgás, és mennydörgés és villámlás támadt, és olyan nagy földrengés, amilyen még nem volt, mióta az emberek a földön vannak: ilyen nagy földrengés!19 És a nagy város három részre szakadt, és a pogányok városai leomlottak, és a nagy Babilont emlegették Isten előtt, hogy itassa meg vele az ő búsult haragja borának poharát.20 És minden sziget eltűnt és a hegyek sem voltak találhatók.

21 És nagy jégeső, mint egy-egy talentum, esett az emberekre, és káromolták Istent az emberek a jégeső csapása miatt, mert annak csapása felette nagy volt.

Revelation 16

The Bowls of God’s Wrath

1 Thent I heard a loud voice from the temple declaring to the seven angels: “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God’s wrath.”t

2 Sot the first angelt went and poured out his bowl on the earth. Thent ugly and painful sorest appeared on the peoplet who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

3 Next,t the second angelt poured out his bowl on the sea and it turned into blood, like that of a corpse, and every living creature that was in the sea died.
4 Thent the third angelt poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.

5 Nowt I heard the angel of the waters saying:
“You are justt – the one who is and who was,
the Holy One – because you have passed these judgments,t

6 because they poured out the blood of your saints and prophets,
sot you have given them blood to drink. They got what they deserved!”t

7 Thent I heard the altar reply,t “Yes, Lord God, the All-Powerful,t your judgments are true and just!”
8 Thent the fourth angelt poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was permitted to scorch peoplet with fire.

9 Thust peoplet were scorched by the terrible heat,t yett they blasphemed the name of God, who has ruling authorityt over these plagues, and they would not repent and give him glory.
10 Thent the fifth angelt poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast so thatt darkness covered his kingdom,t and peoplet began to bitet their tongues becauset of their pain.

11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferingst and because of their sores,t but neverthelesst they still refused to repentt of their deeds.
12 Thent the sixth angelt poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and dried up its watert to prepare the wayt for the kings from the east.t13 Thent I saw three unclean spiritss that looked like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the eartht to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All-Powerful.t

15 (Look! I will come like a thief!
Blessed is the one who stays alert and does not loset his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful conditiont be seen.)s

16 Nowt the spiritst gathered the kings and their armiest to the place that is called Armageddonst in Hebrew.
17 Finallyt the seventh angelt poured out his bowl into the air and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying: “It is done!”18 Thent there were flashes of lightning, roaring,t and crashes of thunder, and there was a tremendous earthquake – an earthquake unequaled since humanityt has been on the earth, so tremendous was that earthquake.19 Thet great city was split into three parts and the cities of the nationst collapsed.t Sot Babylon the great was remembered before God, and was given the cupt filled with the wine made of God’s furious wrath.t20 Everyt island fled awayt and no mountains could be found.s

21 And gigantic hailstones, weighing about a hundred poundst each, fell from heavent on people,t but theyt blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, since itt was so horrendous.t
