Offenbarung 16

1 Und ich hörte eine laute Stimme aus dem Tempel zu den sieben Engeln sagen: Gehet hin und gießet die sieben Schalen des Grimmes Gottes aus auf die Erde.2 Und der erste ging hin und goß seine Schale aus auf die Erde; und es kam ein böses und schlimmes Geschwür an die Menschen, welche das Malzeichen des Tieres hatten und die sein Bild anbeteten.3 Und der zweite goß seine Schale aus auf das Meer; und es wurde zu Blut, wie von einem Toten, und jede lebendige Seele starb, alles was in dem Meere war.4 Und der dritte goß seine Schale aus auf die Ströme und auf die Wasserquellen, und sie wurden zu Blut.5 Und ich hörte den Engel der Wasser sagen: Du bist gerecht, der da ist und der da war, der Heilige, daß du also gerichtet hast.6 Denn Blut von Heiligen und Propheten haben sie vergossen, und Blut hast du ihnen zu trinken gegeben; sie sind es wert.7 Und ich hörte den Altar sagen: Ja, Herr, Gott, Allmächtiger, wahrhaftig und gerecht sind deine Gerichte.8 Und der vierte goß seine Schale aus auf die Sonne; und es wurde ihr gegeben, die Menschen mit Feuer zu versengen.9 Und die Menschen wurden von großer Hitze versengt und lästerten den Namen Gottes, der über diese Plagen Gewalt hat, und taten nicht Buße, ihm Ehre zu geben.10 Und der fünfte goß seine Schale aus auf den Thron des Tieres; und sein Reich wurde verfinstert; und sie zerbissen ihre Zungen vor Pein11 und lästerten den Gott des Himmels wegen ihrer Pein und wegen ihrer Geschwüre, und taten nicht Buße von ihren Werken.12 Und der sechste goß seine Schale aus auf den großen Strom Euphrat; und sein Wasser vertrocknete, auf daß der Weg der Könige bereitet würde, die von Sonnenaufgang herkommen.13 Und ich sah aus dem Munde des Drachen und aus dem Munde des Tieres und aus dem Munde des falschen Propheten drei unreine Geister kommen, wie Frösche;14 denn es sind Geister von Dämonen, die Zeichen tun, welche zu den Königen des ganzen Erdkreises ausgehen, sie zu versammeln zu dem Kriege jenes großen Tages Gottes, des Allmächtigen.15 (Siehe, ich komme wie ein Dieb. Glückselig, der da wacht und seine Kleider bewahrt, auf daß er nicht nackt wandle und man seine Schande sehe!)16 Und er versammelte sie an den Ort, der auf hebräisch Armagedon heißt.17 Und der siebte goß seine Schale aus in die Luft; und es ging eine laute Stimme aus von dem Tempel des Himmels , von dem Throne, welche sprach:18 Es ist geschehen. Und es geschahen Blitze und Stimmen und Donner; und ein großes Erdbeben geschah, desgleichen nicht geschehen ist, seitdem die Menschen auf der Erde waren, solch ein Erdbeben, so groß.19 Und die große Stadt wurde in drei Teile geteilt, und die Städte der Nationen fielen, und die große Babylon kam ins Gedächtnis vor Gott, ihr den Kelch des Weines des Grimmes seines Zornes zu geben.20 Und jede Insel entfloh, und Berge wurden nicht gefunden.21 Und große Hagelsteine, wie ein Talent schwer, fallen aus dem Himmel auf die Menschen hernieder; und die Menschen lästerten Gott wegen der Plage des Hagels, denn seine Plage ist sehr groß.

Revelation 16

The Bowls of God’s Wrath

1 Thent I heard a loud voice from the temple declaring to the seven angels: “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God’s wrath.”t

2 Sot the first angelt went and poured out his bowl on the earth. Thent ugly and painful sorest appeared on the peoplet who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

3 Next,t the second angelt poured out his bowl on the sea and it turned into blood, like that of a corpse, and every living creature that was in the sea died.
4 Thent the third angelt poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.

5 Nowt I heard the angel of the waters saying:
“You are justt – the one who is and who was,
the Holy One – because you have passed these judgments,t

6 because they poured out the blood of your saints and prophets,
sot you have given them blood to drink. They got what they deserved!”t

7 Thent I heard the altar reply,t “Yes, Lord God, the All-Powerful,t your judgments are true and just!”
8 Thent the fourth angelt poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was permitted to scorch peoplet with fire.

9 Thust peoplet were scorched by the terrible heat,t yett they blasphemed the name of God, who has ruling authorityt over these plagues, and they would not repent and give him glory.
10 Thent the fifth angelt poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast so thatt darkness covered his kingdom,t and peoplet began to bitet their tongues becauset of their pain.

11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferingst and because of their sores,t but neverthelesst they still refused to repentt of their deeds.
12 Thent the sixth angelt poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and dried up its watert to prepare the wayt for the kings from the east.t13 Thent I saw three unclean spiritss that looked like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the eartht to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All-Powerful.t

15 (Look! I will come like a thief!
Blessed is the one who stays alert and does not loset his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful conditiont be seen.)s

16 Nowt the spiritst gathered the kings and their armiest to the place that is called Armageddonst in Hebrew.
17 Finallyt the seventh angelt poured out his bowl into the air and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying: “It is done!”18 Thent there were flashes of lightning, roaring,t and crashes of thunder, and there was a tremendous earthquake – an earthquake unequaled since humanityt has been on the earth, so tremendous was that earthquake.19 Thet great city was split into three parts and the cities of the nationst collapsed.t Sot Babylon the great was remembered before God, and was given the cupt filled with the wine made of God’s furious wrath.t20 Everyt island fled awayt and no mountains could be found.s

21 And gigantic hailstones, weighing about a hundred poundst each, fell from heavent on people,t but theyt blasphemed God because of the plague of hail, since itt was so horrendous.t
