ヨハネの黙示録 16

一六

1 また私は、神殿から大きな声が、七人の御使いに呼びかけるのを聞きました。　「さあ、出かけて行って、神様の怒りで満ちた七つの鉢を、地上にぶちまけなさい。」
2 そこで、第一の御使いが神殿から出て行き、鉢を地上にぶちまけました。　すると、獣のいれずみをして、その像を拝む者全員に、恐ろしい悪性のはれものができました。
3 第二の御使いが鉢を海にぶちまけると、海は死人の血のようになり、海中のすべての生物が死に絶えました。
4 第三の御使いは、鉢を川と泉にぶちまけました。　すると、水はたちまち血に変わりました。　5 私は、水を支配している御使いのことばを聞きました。　「今も昔も存在される聖なる方。　あなたの、このようなさばきは、ほんとうに正しいものです。　6 あなたのきよい民や預言者は、殉教を遂げ、この地上に血を流しました。　今度はあなたが、彼らを殺した者たちの血をしたたらせる番です。　これは、当然の報いなのです。」
7 また私は、祭壇の御使いの、こんな声を聞きました。　「全能の神、主よ。　あなたのさばきは正しく、真実です。」
8 次に、第四の御使いが、鉢を太陽にぶちまけました。　すると、太陽は、すべての人を火で焼く力を得ました。　9 人々は、その激しい炎熱に焼かれながらも、なおその心や態度を改めて、神様の栄光を恐れようとはせず、かえって、災害を与えた神様の名をのろいました。
10 それから、第五の御使いは、海からはい上がった獣の王座に鉢をぶちまけました。　すると、獣の国は暗やみでおおわれ、その民は苦しさのあまり、舌をかみ切って自殺をはかりました。　11 そして、苦痛とはれものとのために、天の神様をのろいましたが、自分の悪い行ないを悔い改める気は、さらさらありませんでした。
12 第六の御使いは、鉢を大ユーフラテス川にぶちまけました。　すると、川の水がすっかり干上がり、東方の王がいつでも軍隊を率いて、西方に攻め入る道ができました。　13 また私は、竜と獣と偽預言者の口から、かえるに似た三つの悪霊が飛び出すのを見ました。　14 この奇蹟を行なう力を持った悪霊たちは、全世界の支配者に相談をもちかけました。　迫っている全能の神様の恐ろしい審判の日に備えて、一丸となって主と戦おう、とけしかけるためです。
15 「用心していなさい。　わたしはどろぼうのように、思いがけない時に来ます。　目を覚まして待っている人は幸いです。　そのような人は、着物をきちんと着ているので、裸で外を歩くような恥はかきません。」
16 こうして彼らは、ヘブル語でハルマゲドン〔メギドの山〕と呼ばれる場所の近くに、世界の全軍隊を結集させました。
17 次に、第七の御使いが、鉢を空中にぶちまけました。　すると、「すべてが終わった」という大きな声が、天の神殿の王座から響き渡りました。　18 すると、雷鳴がとどろき、いなずまが走り、史上最大の大地震が発生しました。　19 大いなる都「バビロン」は三つに裂け、世界各地の都市もすべて破壊されて、瓦礫の山と化しました。　「バビロン」の罪を、神様は一つ残らずご存じであり、そのために、「バビロン」は神様の激しい怒りのぶどう酒のあふれる杯を、最後の一滴まで飲み干す罰を受けたのです。　20 島々は消え去り、山々は平地に変わりました。　21 また、なんと三十五キロもの重さの雹が降って、多くの被害が出、人々は、この恐ろしい雹のことで神様をのろいました。悪名高い女

Revelation 16

1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, Go ye, and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth.2 And the first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth; and it became a noisome and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and that worshipped his image.3 And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, even the things that were in the sea.4 And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of the waters; and it became blood.5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, who art and who wast, thou Holy One, because thou didst thus judge:6 for they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy.7 And I heard the altar saying, Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.8 And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire.9 And men were scorched men with great heat: and they blasphemed the name of God who hath the power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.10 And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works.12 And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way might by made ready for the kings that come from the sunrising.13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as it were frogs:14 for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.)16 And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon.17 And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done:18 and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.21 And great hail, every stone about the weight of a talent, cometh down out of heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof is exceeding great.
