Apocalipsis 16

1  Luego oí una voz potente que venía del templo y decía a los siete ángeles: «Vayan y derramen sobre la tierra las siete copas que contienen la ira de Dios».

2 Así que el primer ángel salió del templo y derramó su copa sobre la tierra, y a todos los que tenían la marca de la bestia y que adoraban a su estatua les salieron horribles llagas malignas.

3 Después el segundo ángel derramó su copa sobre el mar, y el agua se volvió como la sangre de un cadáver, y murió todo lo que estaba en el mar.

4 Entonces el tercer ángel derramó su copa sobre los ríos y los manantiales, y éstos se convirtieron en sangre.

5 Y oí que el ángel que tenía autoridad sobre todas las aguas decía:
«Oh Santo, el que es y que siempre era, tú eres justo,
porque has enviado estos juicios.

6 Como derramaron la sangre
de tu pueblo santo y de tus profetas,
tú les has dado a beber sangre.
Es su justa recompensa».

7 Y oí una voz que venía del altar yt decía:
«Sí, oh Señor Dios, el Todopoderoso,
tus juicios son verdaderos y justos».

8 Entonces el cuarto ángel derramó su copa sobre el sol, esto hacía que quemara a todos con su fuego. 9 Todos sufrieron quemaduras debido a la descarga de calor y maldijeron el nombre de Dios, quien tenía control sobre todas estas plagas. No se arrepintieron de sus pecados ni se volvieron a Dios ni le dieron la gloria.

10 Después el quinto ángel derramó su copa sobre el trono de la bestia, y el reino de la bestia quedó sumergido en la oscuridad. Sus súbditos rechinaban los dientes de angustia 11 y maldecían al Dios del cielo por los dolores y las llagas, pero no se arrepintieron de sus fechorías ni volvieron a Dios.

12 Luego el sexto ángel derramó su copa sobre el gran río Éufrates, y éste se secó para que los reyes del oriente pudieran marchar con sus ejércitos sin obstáculos hacia el occidente. 13 Y vi que de la boca del dragón, de la boca de la bestia y de la boca del falso profeta saltaban tres espíritus malignost que parecían ranas. 14 Estos son espíritus de demonios que hacen milagros y salen a reunir a todos los gobernantes del mundo para pelear contra el Señor en la batalla del gran día del juicio de Dios, el Todopoderoso.

15 «Miren, ¡yo vendré como un ladrón, cuando nadie lo espere! Benditos son todos los que me esperan y tienen su ropa lista para no tener que andar desnudos y avergonzados».

16 Y los espíritus de demonios reunieron a todos los gobernantes y a sus ejércitos en un lugar que en hebreo se llama Armagedón. t

17 Luego el séptimo ángel derramó su copa en el aire, y desde el trono del templo salió un fuerte grito: «¡Todo ha terminado!». 18 Entonces rugieron y retumbaron truenos, y salieron relámpagos; y se produjo un fuerte terremoto, el peor desde que el hombre fue puesto sobre la tierra. 19 La gran ciudad de Babilonia se partió en tres secciones, y las ciudades de muchas naciones cayeron y quedaron reducidas a escombros. Así que Dios se acordó de todos los pecados de Babilonia, y la hizo beber de la copa que estaba llena del vino del furor de su ira. 20 Entonces desaparecieron todas las islas, y las montañas se vinieron abajo y no existieron más. 21 Hubo una gran tormenta de granizo, y piedras de granizo, como de treinta y cuatro kilost cada una, cayeron del cielo sobre las personas. Maldijeron a Dios debido a la terrible plaga de granizo.

REVELATION 16

The Bowls of God's Anger

1 From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, “Go and empty the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth.”

2  t The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol.

3 The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. At once the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
4  t The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned to blood.

5 Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, say,
“You have always been,
and you always will be
the holy God.
You had the right
to judge in this way.

6 They poured out the bloodt
of your people
and your prophets.
So you gave them blood
to drink as they deserve!”

7 After this, I heard
the altar shout,
“Yes, Lord God All-Powerful,
your judgments are honest
and fair.”
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire.

9 Everyone was scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these terrible troubles. But no one turned to God and praised him.
10  t The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. At once darkness covered its kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain.

11 And because of their painful sores, they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things.
12  t The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east. 13 An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. One also came out of the mouth of the beast, and another out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 These evil spirits had the power to work miracles. They went to every king on earth, to bring them together for a war against God All-Powerful. But that will be the day of God's great victory.

15  t Remember Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. Then you won't have to walk around naked and be ashamed.”

16  t Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armagedon.t
17 As soon as the seventh angel emptied his bowl in the air, a loud voice from the throne in the temple shouted, “It's done!” 18 t There were flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and the worst earthquake in all history. 19 t The great city of Babylon split into three parts, and the cities of other nations fell. So God made Babylon drink from the wine cup filled with his anger. 20 t Every island ran away, and the mountains disappeared. 21 t Hailstones, weighing about 50 kilograms each, fell from the sky on people. Finally, the people cursed God, because the hail was so terrible.
