Tanrı'nın Öfkesi ve Yedi Tas

1 Sonra tapınaktan yükselen gür bir sesin yedi meleğe, “Gidin, Tanrı'nın öfkesiyle dolu yedi tası yeryüzüne boşaltın!” dediğini işittim.

2  t Birinci melek gidip tasını yeryüzüne boşalttı. Canavarın işaretini taşıyıp heykeline tapanların üzerinde acı veren iğrenç yaralar oluştu.

3 İkinci melek tasını denize boşalttı. Deniz ölü kanına benzer kana dönüştü, içindeki bütün canlılar öldü.
4  t Üçüncü melek tasını ırmaklara, su pınarlarına boşalttı; bunlar da kana dönüştü.

5 Sulardan sorumlu meleğin şöyle dediğini işittim:
“Var olan, var olmuş olan kutsal Tanrı!
Bu yargılarında adilsin.

6 Kutsalların ve peygamberlerin kanını döktükleri için,
İçecek olarak sen de onlara kan verdin.
Bunu hak ettiler.”

7 Sunaktan gelen bir sesin,
“Evet, Her Şeye Gücü Yeten Rab Tanrı,
Yargıların doğru ve adildir”
dediğini işittim.
8 Dördüncü melek tasını güneşe boşalttı. Bununla güneşe insanları yakma gücü verildi.

9 İnsanlar korkunç bir ısıyla kavruldular. Tövbe edip bu belalara egemen olan Tanrı'yı yücelteceklerine, O'nun adına küfrettiler.
10  t Beşinci melek tasını canavarın tahtına boşalttı. Canavarın egemenliği karanlığa gömüldü. İnsanlar ıstıraptan dillerini ısırdılar.

11 Istırap ve yaralarından ötürü Göğün Tanrısı'na küfrettiler. Yaptıklarından tövbe etmediler.
12  t Altıncı melek tasını büyük Fırat Irmağı'na boşalttı. Gündoğusundan gelen kralların yolu açılsın diye ırmağın suları kurudu. 13 Bundan sonra ejderhanın ağzından, canavarın ağzından ve sahte peygamberin ağzından kurbağaya benzer üç kötü ruhun çıktığını gördüm.

14 Bunlar doğaüstü belirtiler gerçekleştiren cinlerin ruhlarıdır. Her Şeye Gücü Yeten Tanrı'nın büyük gününde olacak savaş için bütün dünyanın krallarını toplamaya gidiyorlar.

15  t “İşte hırsız gibi geliyorum! Çıplak dolaşmamak ve utanç içinde kalmamak için uyanık durup giysilerini üstünde bulundurana ne mutlu!”
16  t Üç kötü ruh, kralları İbranice Armagedon denilen yere topladılar. 17 Yedinci melek tasını havaya boşalttı. Tapınaktaki tahttan yükselen gür bir ses, “Tamam!” dedi. 18 t O anda şimşekler çaktı, uğultular, gök gürlemeleri işitildi. Öyle büyük bir deprem oldu ki, yeryüzünde insan oldu olalı bu kadar büyük bir deprem olmamıştı. 19 t Büyük kent üçe bölündü. Ulusların kentleri yerle bir oldu. Tanrı büyük Babil'i anımsadı, ona ateşli gazabının şarabını içeren kâseyi verdi. 20 t Bütün adalar ortadan kalktı, dağlar yok oldu. 21 t İnsanların üzerine gökten tanesi yaklaşık kırk kilot ağırlığında iri dolu yağdı. Dolu belası öyle korkunçtu ki, insanlar bu yüzden Tanrı'ya küfrettiler.

REVELATION 16

The Bowls of God's Anger

1 From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, “Go and empty the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth.”

2  t The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol.

3 The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. At once the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
4  t The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned to blood.

5 Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, say,
“You have always been,
and you always will be
the holy God.
You had the right
to judge in this way.

6 They poured out the bloodt
of your people
and your prophets.
So you gave them blood
to drink as they deserve!”

7 After this, I heard
the altar shout,
“Yes, Lord God All-Powerful,
your judgments are honest
and fair.”
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire.

9 Everyone was scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these terrible troubles. But no one turned to God and praised him.
10  t The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. At once darkness covered its kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain.

11 And because of their painful sores, they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things.
12  t The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east. 13 An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. One also came out of the mouth of the beast, and another out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 These evil spirits had the power to work miracles. They went to every king on earth, to bring them together for a war against God All-Powerful. But that will be the day of God's great victory.

15  t Remember Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. Then you won't have to walk around naked and be ashamed.”

16  t Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armagedon.t
17 As soon as the seventh angel emptied his bowl in the air, a loud voice from the throne in the temple shouted, “It's done!” 18 t There were flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and the worst earthquake in all history. 19 t The great city of Babylon split into three parts, and the cities of other nations fell. So God made Babylon drink from the wine cup filled with his anger. 20 t Every island ran away, and the mountains disappeared. 21 t Hailstones, weighing about 50 kilograms each, fell from the sky on people. Finally, the people cursed God, because the hail was so terrible.
