1 แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็ได้ยินเสียงดังออกมาจากพระวิหาร สั่งทูตสวรรค์ทั้งเจ็ดองค์นั้นว่า "จงไปเถิด เอาขันทั้งเจ็ดใบ ที่เต็มไปด้วยพระพิโรธของพระเจ้า เทลงบนแผ่นดินโลก"2 ทูตสวรรค์องค์แรกจึงออกไปและเทขันของตนลงบนแผ่นดินโลก และคนทั้งหลายที่มีเครื่องหมายของสัตว์ร้าย และบูชารูปของมัน ก็เกิดเป็นแผลร้ายที่เป็นหนองมีทุกข์เวทนาแสนสาหัส3 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่สองก็เทขันของตนลงในทะเล และทะเลก็กลายเป็นเหมือนเลือดของคนตาย และบรรดาสิ่งที่มีชีวิตอยู่ในทะเลนั้นก็ตายหมดสิ้น4 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่สามเทขันของตนลงที่แม่น้ำและบ่อน้ำพุทั้งปวง และน้ำเหล่านั้นก็กลายเป็นเลือด5 และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินทูตสวรรค์แห่งน้ำร้องว่า "โอ ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ผู้ดำรงอยู่บัดนี้ และผู้ได้ทรงดำรงอยู่ในกาลก่อน และผู้จะทรงดำรงอยู่ในอนาคต พระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ชอบธรรม เพราะพระองค์ทรงพิพากษาอย่างนั้น6 เพราะเขาทั้งหลายได้กระทำให้โลหิตของพวกวิสุทธิชนและของพวกศาสดาพยากรณ์ไหลออก และพระองค์ได้ประทานโลหิตให้เขาดื่ม ด้วยเขาทั้งหลายก็สมควรอยู่แล้ว"7 และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินทูตสวรรค์อีกองค์หนึ่งซึ่งอยู่ที่แท่นบูชาร้องว่า "จริงอย่างนั้น พระเจ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ผู้ทรงฤทธานุภาพสูงสุด การพิพากษาของพระองค์เที่ยงตรงและชอบธรรมแล้ว"8 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่สี่เทขันของตนลงที่ดวงอาทิตย์ และทรงให้อำนาจแก่ดวงอาทิตย์นั้นที่จะคลอกมนุษย์ด้วยไฟ9 ความร้อนแรงกล้าได้คลอกคนทั้งหลาย และพวกเขาพูดหมิ่นประมาทพระนามของพระเจ้า ผู้ซึ่งมีฤทธิ์เหนือภัยพิบัติเหล่านั้น และพวกเขาไม่ได้กลับใจและไม่ได้ถวายพระเกียรติแด่พระองค์10 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่ห้าเทขันของตนลงบนที่นั่งของสัตว์ร้ายนั้น และอาณาจักรของมันก็มืดไป คนเหล่านั้นได้กัดลิ้นของตนด้วยความเจ็บปวด11 และพูดหมิ่นประมาทพระเจ้าแห่งสวรรค์ เพราะความเจ็บปวดและเพราะแผลที่มีหนองตามตัวของเขา แต่เขาไม่ได้กลับใจเสียใหม่จากการประพฤติของตน12 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่หกเทขันของตนลงที่แม่น้ำใหญ่ คือแม่น้ำยูเฟรติส ทำให้น้ำในแม่น้ำนั้นแห้งไป เพื่อเตรียมมรรคาไว้สำหรับบรรดากษัตริย์ที่มาจากทิศตะวันออก13 และข้าพเจ้าเห็นผีโสโครกสามตนรูปร่างคล้ายกบออกมาจากปากพญานาค และออกจากปากสัตว์ร้ายนั้น และออกจากปากของผู้พยากรณ์เท็จ14 ด้วยว่าผีเหล่านั้นเป็นผีร้ายกระทำการอัศจรรย์ มันออกไปหากษัตริย์ทั้งปวงแห่งแผ่นดินโลกคือทั่วพิภพ เพื่อให้บรรดากษัตริย์เหล่านั้นร่วมกันทำสงครามในวันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระเจ้า ผู้ทรงฤทธานุภาพสูงสุด15 "จงดูเถิด เราจะมาเหมือนขโมย ผู้ที่เฝ้าระวังให้ดีและรักษาเสื้อผ้าของตนจะเป็นสุข เกลือกว่าผู้นั้นจะเดินเปลือยกาย และคนทั้งหลายจะได้เห็นความน่าละอายของเขา"16 และมันให้เขาทั้งหลายชุมนุมที่ตำบลหนึ่ง ซึ่งภาษาฮีบรูเรียกว่า อารมาเกดโดน17 ทูตสวรรค์องค์ที่เจ็ดได้เทขันของตนลงในอากาศ และมีพระสุรเสียงดังออกมาจากพระที่นั่งในพระวิหารแห่งสวรรค์ว่า "สำเร็จแล้ว"18 และเกิดมีเสียงต่างๆ มีฟ้าร้อง มีฟ้าแลบ และเกิดแผ่นดินไหวครั้งใหญ่ ซึ่งตั้งแต่มีมนุษย์เกิดมาบนแผ่นดินโลก ไม่เคยมีแผ่นดินไหวร้ายแรงและยิ่งใหญ่เช่นนี้เลย19 มหานครนั้นก็แยกออกเป็นสามส่วน และบ้านเมืองของนานาประชาชาติก็ล่มจม มหานครบาบิโลนนั้นก็อยู่ในความทรงจำต่อเบื้องพระพักตร์พระเจ้า เพื่อจะให้นครนั้นดื่มถ้วยเหล้าองุ่นแห่งพระพิโรธอันใหญ่หลวงของพระองค์20 และบรรดาเกาะต่างๆก็หนีหายไป และภูเขาทั้งหลายก็ไม่มีผู้ใดพบ21 และมีลูกเห็บใหญ่ตกลงมาจากฟ้าถูกคนทั้งปวง แต่ละก้อนหนักประมาณห้าสิบกิโลกรัม คนทั้งหลายจึงพูดหมิ่นประมาทพระเจ้า เพราะภัยพิบัติที่เกิดจากลูกเห็บนั้น เพราะว่าภัยพิบัติจากลูกเห็บนั้นร้ายแรงยิ่งนัก
Revelation 16
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, Go ye, and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth.2 And the first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth; and it became a noisome and grievous sore upon the men that had the mark of the beast, and that worshipped his image.3 And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, even the things that were in the sea.4 And the third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of the waters; and it became blood.5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, who art and who wast, thou Holy One, because thou didst thus judge:6 for they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy.7 And I heard the altar saying, Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.8 And the fourth poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given unto it to scorch men with fire.9 And men were scorched men with great heat: and they blasphemed the name of God who hath the power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him glory.10 And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works.12 And the sixth poured out his bowl upon the great river, the river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way might by made ready for the kings that come from the sunrising.13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, as it were frogs:14 for they are spirits of demons, working signs; which go forth unto the kings of the whole world, to gather them together unto the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.)16 And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon.17 And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done:18 and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since there were men upon the earth, so great an earthquake, so mighty.19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.21 And great hail, every stone about the weight of a talent, cometh down out of heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof is exceeding great.
