مکاشفهٔ یوحنا 16
جامهای خشم خدا
1 آنگاه از معبد صدای بلندی شنیدم و آن صدا به هفت فرشته گفت: «بروید و هفت جام خشم خدا را به زمین بریزید.»
2 پس فرشتهٔ نخست رفت و جام خود را بر زمین ریخت و زخمهای دردناک و بد نمایی بر بدن مردمانی كه نشان حیوان وحشی را به خود داشتند و پیكرهاش را میپرستیدند، پدیدار گشت.
3 فرشتهٔ دوم جام خود را به دریا ریخت و دریا به خونی مثل خون نعش مبدّل شد و همهٔ جانداران دریا مردند. 4 فرشتهٔ سوم جام خود را بر رودها و چشمهها ریخت و آنها به خون مبدّل گشتند. 5 آنگاه شنیدم كه فرشتهٔ حافظ آبها میگفت: «تو در داوریهای خویش عادل هستی، تویی آن قدّوس كه هستی و بودهای، 6 زیرا آنان خون مقدّسین و خون انبیا را ریختند و تو به آنان خون دادهای تا بنوشند، زیرا مستحقّ آنند.»
7 و شنیدم از قربانگاه ندایی آمد كه میگفت: «آری ای خداوند! خدای قادر مطلق، چقدر راست و عادلانه است داوریهای تو!»
8 فرشتهٔ چهارم جام خود را بر خورشید ریخت و آن اجازه یافت با گرمای خود آدمیان را بسوزاند.
9 مردم چنان از شدّت حرارت خورشید سوختند كه به خدایی كه چنین بلایایی را در اختیار دارد، كفر میگفتند و حاضر نبودند از کارهای خود توبه نموده، خدا را تمجید نمایند.
10 فرشتهٔ پنجم جام خود را بر روی تخت حیوان وحشی ریخت و سلطنت او به تاریكی فرو رفت. آدمیان از درد و رنج، زبانهایشان را میگزیدند
11 و به خدای آسمان بهخاطر دردها و زخمهای خویش كفر میگفتند و از کارهای خود توبه نمیکردند.
12 فرشتهٔ ششم جام خود را بر رود بزرگ فرات ریخت و آبش خشک شد تا راه برای آمدن شاهان مشرق زمین باز باشد. 13 آنگاه دیدم كه از دهان اژدها و از دهان حیوان وحشی و از دهان آن نبی دروغین سه روح پلید مانند سه قورباغه بیرون آمد.
14 این ارواح، دیوهایی هستند كه قدرت انجام معجزات نیز دارند. آنها به سرتاسر جهان میروند تا پادشاهان تمام جهان را برای نبرد روز بزرگ خدای قادر مطلق جمع كنند.
15 «توجّه كنید! من مثل یک دزد میآیم! خوشا به حال کسیکه آماده باشد و لباس خود را نگاه دارد تا مجبور نشود عریان و شرمنده در جلوی چشم همه راه برود!» 16 پس شیاطین، پادشاهان را در جاییکه به عبرانی حار مجدون خوانده میشود، جمع كردند. 17 آنگاه فرشتهٔ هفتم جام خود را بر هوا ریخت و از معبد و از تخت، صدای بلندی شنیده شد كه میگفت: «همهچیز تمام شد.» 18 و رعد و برق و صداهای مهیب شنیده شد و زمینلرزهٔ شدیدی رخ داد كه مانند آن در تاریخ بشر هرگز دیده نشده بود. 19 شهر بزرگ سه پاره شد. شهرهای جهان ویران شدند و خدا کارهای بابل بزرگ را نادیده نگرفت، بلكه او را مجبور كرد جامی را كه از شراب آتشین خشم و غضب او پر بود، بنوشد. 20 جزیرهها همه ناپدید و کوهها محو شدند. 21 دانههای تگرگ بسیار بزرگ به وزن چهل و پنج کیلوگرم از آسمان بر سر آدمیان بارید و مردم بهخاطر این تگرگ خدا را كفر میگفتند، زیرا این بلایی بسیار وحشتناک بود.
REVELATION 16
The Bowls of God's Anger
1 From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, “Go and empty the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth.”
2 t The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol.
3 The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. At once the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
4 t The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned to blood.
5 Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, say,
“You have always been,
and you always will be
the holy God.
You had the right
to judge in this way.
6 They poured out the bloodt
of your people
and your prophets.
So you gave them blood
to drink as they deserve!”
7 After this, I heard
the altar shout,
“Yes, Lord God All-Powerful,
your judgments are honest
and fair.”
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire.
9 Everyone was scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these terrible troubles. But no one turned to God and praised him.
10 t The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. At once darkness covered its kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain.
11 And because of their painful sores, they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things.
12 t The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east. 13 An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. One also came out of the mouth of the beast, and another out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 These evil spirits had the power to work miracles. They went to every king on earth, to bring them together for a war against God All-Powerful. But that will be the day of God's great victory.
15 t Remember Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. Then you won't have to walk around naked and be ashamed.”
16 t Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armagedon.t
17 As soon as the seventh angel emptied his bowl in the air, a loud voice from the throne in the temple shouted, “It's done!” 18 t There were flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and the worst earthquake in all history. 19 t The great city of Babylon split into three parts, and the cities of other nations fell. So God made Babylon drink from the wine cup filled with his anger. 20 t Every island ran away, and the mountains disappeared. 21 t Hailstones, weighing about 50 kilograms each, fell from the sky on people. Finally, the people cursed God, because the hail was so terrible.
