1 І почув я з храму великий голос, що глаголав семи ангелам: Ідїть і вилийте чаші гнїва Божого на землю.2 І пійшов первий, і вилив чашу свою на землю; і обкинуло людей злим і лютим боляком, тих що мали пятно зьвіра, і покланялись образові його.3 А другий ангел вилив чашу свою на море; і стала кров наче у мерця, і всяка душа жива вмерла в морі.4 І третїй ангел вилив чашу свою на ріки і жерела водні; і стала кров.5 І чув я ангела вод, що глаголав: Праведний Ти, Господи, котрий єси, і був, і сьвятий, що таке судив єси;6 кров бо сьвятих і пророків пролили вони, тим і кров дав єси їм пити; вони бо достойні.7 І чув я иншого, що з жертівнї глаголав: Так, Господи, Боже Вседержителю, правдиві і праведні суди Твої.8 А четвертий ангел вилив чашу свою на сонце; і дано йому пекти людей огнем.9 І пекла людей велика спека, і вони хулили імя Бога, що має власть над тими поразами, та не надумались дати Йому славу.10 А пятий ангел вилив чашу свою на престол зьвіра, і стало царство його темне. І кусали язики свої від болю;11 і хулили Бога небесного задля болещів своїх, і задля боляків своїх, а не покаялись від дїл своїх.12 А шестий ангел вилив чашу свою на велику ріку Євфрат; і висохла вода його, щоб готова була дорога царям, що зі сходу сонця.13 І бачив я із рота змія, і з рота зьвіра, і з рота лжепророка три нечисті духи, подобні до жаб.14 Се бо духи бісовські, що роблять ознаки, що виходять на царів землї і цїлої вселенної, зібрати їх на війну в день той великий Бога Вседержителя.15 Ось іду, як злодїй; блаженний, хто чуває, і хоронить одежу свою, щоб не ходити йому голим, і щоб не бачили сорому його.16 І зібрав їх в одно місце, що зоветь ся по єврейськи Армагедон.17 А семий ангел вилив чашу свою на повітрє; і вийшов великий голос з храму небесного, від престола, глаголючи: Стало ся.18 І постали голоси, і громи, і блискавки, і трясеннє постало велике, якого не було, від коли люде на землї постали; таке трясеннє! таке велике!19 І розпав ся великий город на три частї, і городи поган попадали; і про Вавилон великий згадано перед Богом, дати йому чашу вина лютости гнїва Його.20 І всякий остров зник, і не знайдено гори.21 І град великий, як сотнар, упав з неба на людей; і хулили люде Бога задля градової порази, бо пораза граду вельми була велика.

REVELATION 16

The Bowls of God's Anger

1 From the temple I heard a voice shout to the seven angels, “Go and empty the seven bowls of God's anger on the earth.”

2  t The first angel emptied his bowl on the earth. At once ugly and painful sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshiped the idol.

3 The second angel emptied his bowl on the sea. At once the sea turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
4  t The third angel emptied his bowl into the rivers and streams. At once they turned to blood.

5 Then I heard the angel, who has power over water, say,
“You have always been,
and you always will be
the holy God.
You had the right
to judge in this way.

6 They poured out the bloodt
of your people
and your prophets.
So you gave them blood
to drink as they deserve!”

7 After this, I heard
the altar shout,
“Yes, Lord God All-Powerful,
your judgments are honest
and fair.”
8 The fourth angel emptied his bowl on the sun, and it began to scorch people like fire.

9 Everyone was scorched by its great heat, and all of them cursed the name of God who had power over these terrible troubles. But no one turned to God and praised him.
10  t The fifth angel emptied his bowl on the throne of the beast. At once darkness covered its kingdom, and its people began biting their tongues in pain.

11 And because of their painful sores, they cursed the God who rules in heaven. But still they did not stop doing evil things.
12  t The sixth angel emptied his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it completely dried up to make a road for the kings from the east. 13 An evil spirit that looked like a frog came out of the mouth of the dragon. One also came out of the mouth of the beast, and another out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 These evil spirits had the power to work miracles. They went to every king on earth, to bring them together for a war against God All-Powerful. But that will be the day of God's great victory.

15  t Remember Christ says, “When I come, it will surprise you like a thief! But God will bless you, if you are awake and ready. Then you won't have to walk around naked and be ashamed.”

16  t Those armies came together in a place that in Hebrew is called Armagedon.t
17 As soon as the seventh angel emptied his bowl in the air, a loud voice from the throne in the temple shouted, “It's done!” 18 t There were flashes of lightning, roars of thunder, and the worst earthquake in all history. 19 t The great city of Babylon split into three parts, and the cities of other nations fell. So God made Babylon drink from the wine cup filled with his anger. 20 t Every island ran away, and the mountains disappeared. 21 t Hailstones, weighing about 50 kilograms each, fell from the sky on people. Finally, the people cursed God, because the hail was so terrible.
