Apocalipse 16

As sete taças da ira de Deus

1 Depois ouvi uma voz forte vinda do templo dizer aos sete anjos:
—Vão e esvaziem as sete taças da ira de Deus sobre a terra.

2 O primeiro anjo saiu e esvaziou a sua taça sobre a terra. Então apareceram úlceras terríveis e dolorosas nas pessoas que eram portadoras da marca do monstro e que adoravam a sua imagem.

3 O segundo anjo esvaziou a sua taça no mar. O mar se tornou em sangue, como o sangue de um morto, e todo ser vivente que havia no mar morreu.
4 O terceiro anjo esvaziou a sua taça nos rios e nas fontes de água e elas se tornaram em sangue.

5 Então ouvi o anjo que tinha autoridade sobre as águas dizer:
—O Senhor é o Santo e aquele que é e que sempre foi! O Senhor é justo em fazer este julgamento!6 Eles derramaram o sangue do povo de Deus e dos profetast e, por isso, o Senhor lhes tem dado sangue para beber. E isso é o que eles merecem!

7 Aí ouvi do altar dizer:
—De fato, ó Senhor, Deus Todo-poderoso, os seus julgamentos são justos e verdadeiros.
8 O quarto anjo esvaziou a sua taça sobre o sol, permitindo-lhe assim queimar as pessoas com fogo.

9 E de fato as pessoas foram queimadas com o intenso calor. Elas insultaram o nome de Deus, que tem a autoridade sobre estas pragas, mas nem sequer se arrependeram ou lhe deram glória.
10 O quinto anjo esvaziou a sua taça sobre o trono do monstro, cujo reino ficou na escuridão. E as pessoas mordiam a língua por causa da dor.

11 Elas insultaram o Deus do céu por causa das suas dores e de suas úlceras, mas não se arrependeram de suas más obras.
12 O sexto anjo esvaziou a sua taça sobre o grande rio Eufrates e a água do rio secou para que se preparasse o caminho dos reis que vêm do Leste.13 Então vi três espíritos maus que eram parecidos com rãs saírem das bocas do dragão, do monstro e do falso profeta.

14 Eles eram espíritos de demônios e tinham o poder para fazer milagres. Eles se dirigiam aos reis do mundo inteiro com o fim de reuni-los para a batalha do grande Dia do Deus Todo-poderoso.

15 —Escutem, eu vou chegar assim como o ladrão chega. Feliz é aquele que se mantém acordado e toma conta da sua roupa, pois assim ele não andará nu nem ficará envergonhado em público.

16 Então os espíritos maus reuniram todos os reis no lugar que em hebraico se chama "Armagedom".

17 O sétimo anjo esvaziou a sua taça no ar e uma voz forte saiu do templo do lado do trono, dizendo:
—Está feito!
18 E houve relâmpagos, barulhos, trovões e um grande terremoto. Esse foi o maior terremoto que já ocorreu desde que o homem habita a terra.19 A grande cidade se dividiu em três partes e as cidades dos pagãos foram destruídas. E Deus se lembrou de castigar a grande cidade de Babilônia e lhe deu o cálice com o vinho da sua terrível ira.20 Todas as ilhas desapareceram e nenhuma montanha foi encontrada.

21 Chuvas de pedra caíram do céu sobre as pessoas, com pedras que pesavam mais ou menos quarenta quilos. E as pessoas insultaram a Deus por causa da praga das chuvas de pedra, pois ela era terrível.

Revelation 16

Six Bowls of Wrath

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God."

2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant sore on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living tthing in the sea died.

4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood.5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, "Righteous are You, who are and who were, O Holy One, because You judged these things;6 for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They deserve it."7 And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire.9 Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.

10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain,11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east.

Armageddon

13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs;14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.15 ("Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.")16 And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called tHar-Magedon.

Seventh Bowl of Wrath

17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, "It is done."18 And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath.20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.21 And huge hailstones, about tone hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely severe.
