Apocalipsa 2

Către îngerul bisericii din Efes

1 Îngerului bisericii din Efest scrie-i:
«Acestea sunt cuvintelet Celui Ce ține cele șapte stele în mâna Sa dreaptă și umblă printre cele șapte sfeșnice de aur:2 știu faptele tale, osteneala și răbdarea ta și că nu-i poți suporta pe cei răi, că i-ai pus la încercare pe cei ce spun despre ei înșiși că sunt apostoli, dar nu sunt, și ai descoperit că sunt falși.3  Știu , de asemenea, că ai răbdare, că înduri pentru Numele Meu și că n-ai obosit.4 Dar ceea ce am împotriva ta este că ți-ai părăsit dragostea dintâi.5 Amintește-ți deci de unde ai căzut, pocăiește-te și fă faptele pe care le făceai la început! Dacă nu, voi veni la tine și-ți voi muta sfeșnicul de la locul lui dacă nu te pocăiești!6 Ai însă aceasta: urăști faptele nicolaițilort, pe care și Eu le urăsc.7 Cel ce are urechi, să audă ce zice bisericilor Duhul! Celui ce învinge îi voi da să mănânce din pomul vieții, care se află în Raiul lui Dumnezeu.»

Către îngerul bisericii din Smirna

8 Îngerului bisericii din Smirnat scrie-i:
«Acestea sunt cuvintele Celui Dintâi și Celui De Pe Urmă, Celui Ce a fost mort și a înviat:9 știu necazul și sărăcia ta, – dar ești bogat –, știu și defăimarea din partea celor ce spun că sunt iudei, dar nu sunt, ci sunt o sinagogăt a lui Satant.10 Nu te teme de nici unul dintre lucrurile pe care urmează să le suferi! Diavolult urmează să-i arunce pe unii dintre voi în închisoare, ca să fiți încercați, și veți fi în necaz timp de zece zile. Fii credincios până la moarte și îți voi da cununa vieții!11 Cel ce are urechi, să audă ce zice bisericilor Duhul! Cel ce învinge, nicidecum nu va fi rănit de moartea a doua.»

Către îngerul bisericii din Pergam

12 Îngerului bisericii din Pergamt scrie-i:
«Acestea sunt cuvintele Celui Ce are sabia ascuțită cu două tăișuri:13 știu unde locuiești – acolo unde este tronul lui Satan.t Știu că ții Numele Meu, că nu te-ai lepădat de credința Mea nici chiar în zilele când Antipa, martorul Meu credinciost, a fost ucis la voi, acolo unde locuiește Satan.14 Am însă câteva lucruri împotriva ta: ai acolo pe câțiva care țin învățătura lui Balaam, care l-a învățat pe Balak să pună o pricină de poticnire înaintea fiilor lui Israel, și anume să mănânce ceea ce este jertfit idolilor și să se desfrânezet.15 Tot așa și tu, ai câțiva care țin învățătura nicolaițilort.16 Pocăiește-te, deci! Dacă nu, în curând voi veni la tine și mă voi război cu ei cu sabia gurii Mele!17 Cel ce are urechi, să audă ce zice bisericilor Duhul! Celui ce învinge îi voi da mana ascunsăt și-i voi da o piatră albă pe care este scris un nume nou,t pe care nu-l cunoaște nimeni în afară de cel care-l primește.»

Către îngerul bisericii din Tiatira

18 Îngerului bisericii din Tiatirat scrie-i:
«Acestea sunt cuvintele Fiului lui Dumnezeu, Care are ochii ca flacăra focului și picioarele asemenea bronzului încins:19 știu faptele tale, dragostea, credincioșia, slujirea și răbdarea ta și știu că ultimele tale fapte sunt mai mari decât primele.20 Însă ce am împotriva ta este că o lași pe Izabelat, femeia aceea care spune despre sine că este profetesă, să dea învățătură și să-i înșele pe robii Mei să se desfrâneze și să mănânce ceea ce este jertfit idolilor.21 I-am dat timp să se pocăiască, dar nu vrea să se pocăiască de desfrânarea ei.22 O voi arunca la pat, iar peste cei ce comit adulter cu ea voi aduce un necaz mare, dacă nu se pocăiesc de faptele ei;23 apoi pe copiii ei îi voi lovi cu moartea. Și toate bisericile vor ști că eu sunt Cel Care cercetez gândurile și inimile și că vă voi da fiecăruia după faptele voastre.24 Vouă însă, celorlalți din Tiatira, tuturor celor ce nu aveți învățătura aceasta și care nu ați cunoscut „adâncimile lui Satan“t, cum le zic ei, vă spun: nu pun peste voi altă greutate.25 Doar țineți cu tărie ceea ce aveți, până voi veni!26 Celui ce învinge și păzește până la sfârșit lucrările Mele îi voi da autoritate peste neamuri;

27 el le va conduce cu un sceptru de fier
și le va sfărâma ca pe niște vase de lutt,

28 tot așa cum am primit și Eu autoritate de la Tatăl Meu; și îi voi da steaua diminețiit.29 Cel ce are urechi, să audă ce zice bisericilor Duhul!»

REVELATION 2

The Letter to Ephesus

1 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Ephesus:
I am the one who holds the seven stars in my right hand, and I walk among the seven gold lampstands. Listen to what I say.
2 I know everything you have done, including your hard work and how you have endured. I know you won't put up with anyone who is evil. When some people pretended to be apostles, you tested them and found out they were liars.

3 You have endured and gone through hard times because of me, yet you have not given up.
4 But I do have something against you! And it is this: You don't have as much love as you used to. 5 Think about where you have fallen from, and then turn back and do as you did at first. If you don't turn back, I will come and take away your lampstand.

6 But there is one thing you are doing right. You hate what the Nicolaitanst are doing, and so do I.

7  t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will let everyone who wins the victory eat from the life-giving tree in God's wonderful garden.

The Letter to Smyrna

8  t This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Smyrna:
I am the first and the last. I died, but now I am alive! Listen to what I say.

9 I know how much you suffer and how poor you are, but you are rich. I also know the cruel things being said about you by people who claim to be God's people. But they are not really God's people. They are a group that belongs to Satan.

10 Don't worry about what you will suffer. The devil will throw some of you into jail, and you will be tested and made to suffer for ten days. But if you are faithful until you die, I will reward you with a glorious life.t

11  t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. Whoever wins the victory will not be hurt by the second death.t

The Letter to Pergamum

12 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Pergamum:
I am the one who has the sharp double-edged sword! Listen to what I say.

13 I know you live where Satan has his throne.t But you have kept true to my name. Right there where Satan lives, my faithful witness Antipast was taken from you and put to death. Even then you did not give up your faith in me.
14  t I do have a few things against you. Some of you are following the teaching of Balaam.t Long ago he told Balak to teach the people of Israel to eat food that had been offered to idols and to be immoral. 15 Now some of you are following the teaching of the Nicolaitans.t

16 Turn back! If you don't, I will come quickly and fight against these people. And my words will cut like a sword.

17  t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To everyone who wins the victory, I will give some of the hidden food.t I will also give each one a white stonet with a new namet written on it. No one will know that name except the one who is given the stone.

The Letter to Thyatira

18 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Thyatira:
I am the Son of God! My eyes are like flames of fire, and my feet are like bronze. Listen to what I say.
19 I know everything about you, including your love, your faith, your service, and how you have endured. I know you are doing more now than you have ever done before. 20 t But I still have something against you because of that woman Jezebel.t She calls herself a prophet, and you let her teach and mislead my servants to do immoral things and to eat food offered to idols.

21 I gave her a chance to turn from her sins, but she did not want to stop doing these immoral things.
22 I am going to strike down Jezebel. Everyone who does these immoral things with her will also be punished, if they don't stop.

23 t I will even kill her followers.t Then all the churches will see that I know everyone's thoughts and feelings. I will treat each of you as you deserve.
24 Some of you in Thyatira don't follow Jezebel's teaching. You don't know anything about what her followers call the “deep secrets of Satan.” So I won't burden you down with any other commands.

25 But until I come, you must hold firmly to the teaching you have.
26  t I will give power over the nations to everyone who wins the victory and keeps on obeying me until the end.

27-28 I will give each of them the same power my Father has given me. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash those nations to pieces like clay pots. I will also give them the morning star.t
29 If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
