Offenbarung 2
1 Dem Engel der Gemeinde von Ephesus t schreibe: Das sagt, der die sieben Sterne in seiner Rechten hält, der inmitten der sieben goldenen Leuchter wandelt:2 Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Bemühung und dein standhaftes Ausharren t , und dass du die Bösen nicht ertragen kannst; und du hast die geprüft , die behaupten, sie seien Apostel und sind es nicht, und hast sie als Lügner erkannt;3 und du hast [Schweres] ertragen und hast standhaftes Ausharren , und um meines Namens willen hast du gearbeitet und bist nicht müde geworden.4 Aber ich habe gegen dich, dass du deine erste Liebe verlassen hast.5 Bedenke nun, wovon du gefallen bist, t und tue Buße t und tue die ersten Werke! Sonst komme ich rasch über dich und werde deinen Leuchter von seiner Stelle wegstoßen , wenn du nicht Buße tust!6 Aber dieses hast du, dass du die Werke der Nikolaiten hasst, die auch ich hasse.7 Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre , was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet , dem will ich zu essen geben von dem Baum des Lebens, der in der Mitte des Paradieses t Gottes ist.8 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde von Smyrna schreibe: Das sagt der Erste und der Letzte, der tot war und lebendig geworden ist:9 Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Drangsal und deine Armut - du bist aber reich! - und die Lästerung von denen, die sagen, sie seien Juden und sind es nicht, sondern eine Synagoge des Satans.10 Fürchte nichts von dem, was du erleiden wirst! Siehe, der Teufel wird etliche von euch ins Gefängnis werfen, damit ihr geprüft werdet, und ihr werdet Drangsal haben zehn Tage lang. Sei getreu bis in den Tod , so werde ich dir die Krone des Lebens geben!11 Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre , was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet, dem wird kein Leid geschehen von dem zweiten Tod.12 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Pergamus schreibe: Das sagt, der das scharfe zweischneidige Schwert hat:13 Ich kenne deine Werke und [weiß,] wo du wohnst : da, wo der Thron des Satans ist, und dass du an meinem Namen festhältst und den Glauben an mich nicht verleugnet hast, auch in den Tagen, in denen Anti-pas mein treuer Zeuge war, der bei euch getötet wurde, da, wo der Satan wohnt.14 Aber ich habe ein weniges gegen dich, dass du dort solche hast, die an der Lehre Bileams t festhalten, der den Balak lehrte, einen Anstoß [zur Sünde] vor die Kinder Israels zu legen, sodass sie Götzenopfer aßen und Unzucht trieben.15 So hast auch du solche, die an der Lehre der Nikolaiten festhalten, was ich hasse.16 Tue Buße ! Sonst komme ich rasch über dich und werde gegen sie Krieg führen mit dem Schwert meines Mundes.17 Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre , was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet, dem werde ich von dem verborgenen Manna t zu essen geben; und ich werde ihm einen weißen Stein geben und auf dem Stein geschrieben einen neuen Namen , den niemand kennt außer dem, der ihn empfängt.18 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Thyatira schreibe: Das sagt der Sohn Gottes, der Augen hat wie eine Feuerflamme und dessen Füße schimmerndem Erz gleichen:19 Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Liebe und deinen Dienst und deinen Glauben und dein standhaftes Ausharren, und [ich weiß], dass deine letzten Werke mehr sind als die ersten.20 Aber ich habe ein weniges gegen dich, dass du es zulässt, dass die Frau Isebel t , die sich eine Prophetin nennt, meine Knechte lehrt und verführt, Unzucht zu treiben und Götzenopfer zu essen.21 Und ich gab ihr Zeit, Buße zu tun von ihrer Unzucht, und sie hat nicht Buße getan.22 Siehe, ich werfe sie auf ein [Kranken-] Bett und die, welche mit ihr ehebrechen, in große Drangsal, wenn sie nicht Buße tun über ihre Werke. t23 Und ihre Kinder t will ich mit dem Tod schlagen; und alle Gemeinden werden erkennen , dass ich es bin, der Nieren und Herzen erforscht . Und ich werde jedem Einzelnen von euch geben nach seinen Werken.24 Euch aber sage ich, und den Übrigen in Thyatira, all denen, die diese Lehre nicht haben und die nicht die Tiefen des Satans erkannt haben, wie sie sagen: Ich will keine weitere Last auf euch legen;25 doch was ihr habt, das haltet fest, bis ich komme!26 Und wer überwindet und meine Werke bis ans Ende bewahrt, dem werde ich Vollmacht geben über die Heidenvölker,27 und er wird sie mit einem eisernen Stab weiden, wie man irdene Gefäße zerschlägt, wie auch ich es von meinem Vater empfangen habe;28 und ich werde ihm den Morgenstern geben.29 Wer ein Ohr hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt!
REVELATION 2
The Letter to Ephesus
1 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Ephesus:
I am the one who holds the seven stars in my right hand, and I walk among the seven gold lampstands. Listen to what I say.
2 I know everything you have done, including your hard work and how you have endured. I know you won't put up with anyone who is evil. When some people pretended to be apostles, you tested them and found out they were liars.
3 You have endured and gone through hard times because of me, yet you have not given up.
4 But I do have something against you! And it is this: You don't have as much love as you used to. 5 Think about where you have fallen from, and then turn back and do as you did at first. If you don't turn back, I will come and take away your lampstand.
6 But there is one thing you are doing right. You hate what the Nicolaitanst are doing, and so do I.
7 t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will let everyone who wins the victory eat from the life-giving tree in God's wonderful garden.The Letter to Smyrna
8 t This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Smyrna:
I am the first and the last. I died, but now I am alive! Listen to what I say.
9 I know how much you suffer and how poor you are, but you are rich. I also know the cruel things being said about you by people who claim to be God's people. But they are not really God's people. They are a group that belongs to Satan.
10 Don't worry about what you will suffer. The devil will throw some of you into jail, and you will be tested and made to suffer for ten days. But if you are faithful until you die, I will reward you with a glorious life.t
11 t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. Whoever wins the victory will not be hurt by the second death.tThe Letter to Pergamum
12 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Pergamum:
I am the one who has the sharp double-edged sword! Listen to what I say.
13 I know you live where Satan has his throne.t But you have kept true to my name. Right there where Satan lives, my faithful witness Antipast was taken from you and put to death. Even then you did not give up your faith in me.
14 t I do have a few things against you. Some of you are following the teaching of Balaam.t Long ago he told Balak to teach the people of Israel to eat food that had been offered to idols and to be immoral. 15 Now some of you are following the teaching of the Nicolaitans.t
16 Turn back! If you don't, I will come quickly and fight against these people. And my words will cut like a sword.
17 t If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. To everyone who wins the victory, I will give some of the hidden food.t I will also give each one a white stonet with a new namet written on it. No one will know that name except the one who is given the stone.The Letter to Thyatira
18 This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Thyatira:
I am the Son of God! My eyes are like flames of fire, and my feet are like bronze. Listen to what I say.
19 I know everything about you, including your love, your faith, your service, and how you have endured. I know you are doing more now than you have ever done before. 20 t But I still have something against you because of that woman Jezebel.t She calls herself a prophet, and you let her teach and mislead my servants to do immoral things and to eat food offered to idols.
21 I gave her a chance to turn from her sins, but she did not want to stop doing these immoral things.
22 I am going to strike down Jezebel. Everyone who does these immoral things with her will also be punished, if they don't stop.
23 t I will even kill her followers.t Then all the churches will see that I know everyone's thoughts and feelings. I will treat each of you as you deserve.
24 Some of you in Thyatira don't follow Jezebel's teaching. You don't know anything about what her followers call the “deep secrets of Satan.” So I won't burden you down with any other commands.
25 But until I come, you must hold firmly to the teaching you have.
26 t I will give power over the nations to everyone who wins the victory and keeps on obeying me until the end.
27-28 I will give each of them the same power my Father has given me. They will rule the nations with an iron rod and smash those nations to pieces like clay pots. I will also give them the morning star.t
29 If you have ears, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.
