APOCALISSE 20
Satana legato per mille anni; i fedeli regnano con Cristo
1 POI vidi un angelo, che scendeva dal cielo, ed avea la chiave dell'abissot, ed una grande catena in mano. 2 Ed egli prese il dragone, il serpente antico, che è il Diavolo e Satanat, il qual seduce tutto il mondo, e lo legòt per mille anni.
3 E lo gettò nell'abisso, il quale egli serrò e suggellò sopra esso; acciocchè non seducesse più le genti, finchè fossero compiuti i mille anni; e poi appresso ha da essere sciolto per un poco di tempo.
4 Poi vidi de'~troni, e sopra quelli si misero a sedere de'~personaggi, a'~quali fu dato il giudiciot; vidi ancora le anime di coloro che erano stati decollati per la testimonianza di Gesù, e per la parola di Diot; e che non aveano adorata la bestia, nè la sua immaginet; e non aveano preso il suo marchio in su le lor fronti, e in su la lor mano; e costoro tornarono in vita, e regnaronot con Cristo que'~mille anni. 5 E il rimanente dei morti non tornò in vita, finchè fossero compiuti i mille anni. Questa è la prima risurrezionet.
6 Beato e santo è colui che ha parte nella prima risurrezionet; sopra costoro non ha podestà la morte secondat; ma saranno sacerdoti di Diot e di Cristo; e regneranno con lui mille annit.Satana sciolto e vinto per sempre
7 E QUANDO que'~mille anni saranno compiuti, Satana sarà sciolto dalla sua prigione, ed uscirà per sedurre le gentit, che sono a'~quattro canti della terra, Gog e Magogt, per radunarle in battagliat; il numero delle quali è come la rena del mare. 8 E saliranno in su la distesa della terra, e intornieranno il campo de'~santi, e la diletta città. 9 Ma dal cielo scenderà del fuoco, mandato da Dio, e le divorerà.
10 E il Diavolo, che le ha sedotte, sarà gettato nello stagno del fuoco, e dello zolfo, dove è la bestia, e il falso profetat; e saranno tormentati giorno e notte, ne'~secoli de'~secolit.Il giudizio finale
11 POI vidi un gran trono bianco, e quel che sedeva sopra esso, d'innanzi a cui fuggì il cielo e la terrat; e non fu trovato luogo per loro. 12 Ed io vidi i morti, grandi e piccoli, che stavano ritti davanti al trono; e i libri furono apertit; e un altro libro fu aperto, che è il libro della vitat; e i morti furono giudicati dalle cose scritte ne'~libri, secondo le opere lorot. 13 E il mare rendè i morti che erano in esso; parimente la morte e l'inferno renderono i lor morti; ed essi furono giudicati, ciascuno secondo le sue opere. 14 E la morte e l'inferno furon gettati nello stagno del fuocot. Questa è la morte secondat. 15 E se alcuno non fu trovato scritto nel libro della vita, fu gettato nello stagno del fuocot.
Revelation 20
The Thousand Year Reign
1 Thent I saw an angel descending from heaven, holdingt in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain.2 Het seized the dragon – the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan – and tied him up for a thousand years.
3 The angelt thent threw him into the abyss and lockedt and sealed it so that he could not deceive the nations until the one thousand years were finished. (After these things he must be released for a brief period of time.)
4 Thent I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge.t I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. Theset had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. Theyt came to lifet and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished.)s This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is the one who takes partt in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them,t but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
Satan’s Final Defeat
7 Nowt when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison8 and will go out to deceivet the nations at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog,s to bring them together for the battle. They are as numerous as the grains of sand in the sea.t9 Theyt went upt on the broad plain of the eartht and encircledt the campt of the saints and the beloved city, butt fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely.t
10 And the devil who deceivedt them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur,t where the beast and the false prophet aret too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever.
The Great White Throne
11 Thent I saw a larget white throne and the one who was seated on it; the earth and the heavent fledts from his presence, and no place was found for them.12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Thent books were opened, and another book was opened – the book of life.t Sot the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.t13 Thet sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Deaths and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each one was judged according to his deeds.14 Thent Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire.
15 Ift anyone’s namet was not found written in the book of life, that persont was thrown into the lake of fire.
