요한계시록 20

천 년 왕국

1 나는 또 한 천사가 t아비소스의 열쇠와 큰 사슬을 손에 들고, 하늘에서 내려오는 것을 보았습니다. 2 그는 그 용, 곧 악마요 사탄인 그 옛 뱀을 붙잡아 결박하여, 3 t아비소스에 던지고 닫은 다음에, 그 위에 봉인을 하여 천 년 동안 가두어 두고, 천 년이 끝날 때까지는 민족들을 미혹하지 못하게 하였습니다. 사탄은 그 뒤에 잠시 동안 풀려 나오게 되어 있습니다. 4 내가 또 보좌들을 보니, 그 위에 사람들이 앉아 있었는데, 그들은 심판할 권세를 받은 사람들이었습니다. 또 나는, 예수의 증언과 하나님의 말씀 때문에 목이 베인 사람들의 영혼을 보았습니다. 그들은, 그 짐승이나 그 짐승 우상에게 절하지 않고, 그들의 이마와 손에 그 짐승의 표를 받지 않은 사람들입니다. 그들은 살아나서, 그리스도와 함께 천 년 동안 다스렸습니다. 5 그 나머지 죽은 사람들은 천 년이 끝날 때까지 살아나지 못하였습니다. 이것이 첫째 부활입니다. 6 이 첫째 부활에 참여하는 사람은 복이 있고 거룩합니다. 이 사람들에게는 둘째 사망이 아무런 세력도 부리지 못합니다. 이 사람들은 하나님과 그리스도의 제사장이 되어서, 천 년 동안 그와 함께 다스릴 것입니다.

사탄의 패망

7 천 년이 끝나면, 사탄은 옥에서 풀려나서, 8 땅의 사방에 있는 민족들, 곧 곡과 마곡을 미혹하려고 나아갈 것입니다. 그리고 전쟁을 하려고 그들을 모을 것인데, 그들의 수는 바다의 모래와 같을 것입니다. 9 그들은 지면으로 올라와서, 성도들의 진과 하나님께서 사랑하시는 도시를 둘러쌌습니다. 그러나 t하늘에서 불이 내려와서, 그들을 삼켜 버렸습니다. 10 그들을 미혹하던 악마도 불과 유황의 바다로 던져졌는데, 그 곳은 그 짐승과 거짓 예언자들이 있는 곳입니다. 거기에서 그들은 영원히, 밤낮으로 고통을 당할 것입니다.

크고 흰 보좌에서 심판을 내리시다

11 나는 크고 흰 보좌와 거기에 앉으신 분을 보았습니다. 땅과 하늘이 그 앞에서 사라지고, 그 자리마저 찾아볼 수 없었습니다. 12 나는 또 죽은 사람들이, 큰 자나 작은 자나 할 것 없이, 다 그 보좌 앞에 서 있는 것을 보았습니다. 그리고 책들을 펴놓고, 또 다른 책 하나를 펴놓았는데, 그것은 생명의 책이었습니다. 죽은 사람들은, 그 책에 기록되어 있는 대로, 자기들의 행위대로 심판을 받았습니다. 13 바다가 그 속에 있는 죽은 사람들을 내놓고, 사망과 t지옥도 그 속에 있는 죽은 사람들을 내놓았습니다. 그들은 각각 자기들의 행위대로 심판을 받았습니다. 14 그리고 사망과 t지옥이 불바다에 던져졌습니다. 이 불바다가 둘째 사망입니다. 15 이 생명책에 기록되어 있지 않은 사람은 누구나 다 이 불바다에 던져졌습니다.

REVELATION 20

The Thousand Years

1 I saw an angel come down from heaven, carrying the key to the deep pit and a big chain. 2 t He chained the dragon for 1,000 years. It is that old snake, who is also known as the devil and Satan.

3 Then the angel threw the dragon into the pit. He locked and sealed it, so 1,000 years would go by before the dragon could fool the nations again. But after that, it would have to be set free for a little while.

4  t I saw thrones, and sitting on those thrones were the ones who had been given the right to judge. I also saw the souls of the people who had their heads cut off because they had told about Jesus and preached God's message. They were the same ones who had not worshiped the beast or the idol, and they had refused to let its mark be put on their foreheads or hands. They will come to life and rule with Christ for 1,000 years.

5-6 These people are the first to be raised to life, and they are especially blessed and holy. The second deatht has no power over them. They will be priests for God and Christ and will rule with them for 1,000 years.
No other dead people were raised to life until 1,000 years later.

Satan Is Defeated

7 At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be set free. 8 t He will fool the countries of Gog and Magog, which are at the far ends of the earth, and their people will follow him into battle. They will have as many followers as there are grains of sand along the beach, 9 and they will march all the way across the earth. They will surround the camp of God's people and the city God loves. But fire will come down from heaven and destroy the whole army.

10 Then the devil who fooled them will be thrown into the lake of fire and burning sulfur. He will be there with the beast and the false prophet, and they will be in pain day and night forever and ever.

The Judgment //at the Great White Throne

11  t I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was no place for them to go.

12 t I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Every one of them was there, no matter who they had once been. Several books were opened, and then the book of lifet was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done.
13 The sea gave up the dead people who were in it, and death and its kingdom also gave up their dead. Then everyone was judged by what they had done. 14 Afterwards, death and its kingdom were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.t 15 Anyone whose name wasn't written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
