EL APOCALIPSIS 20
Los mil años
1 Vi a un ángel que descendía del cielo, con la llave del abismo, y una gran cadena en la mano. 2 Y prendió al dragón, la serpiente antigua,t que es el diablo y Satanás, y lo ató por mil años;
3 y lo arrojó al abismo, y lo encerró, y puso su sello sobre él, para que no engañase más a las naciones, hasta que fuesen cumplidos mil años; y después de esto debe ser desatado por un poco de tiempo.
4 Y vi tronos, y se sentaron sobre ellos los que recibieron facultad de juzgar;t y vi las almas de los decapitados por causa del testimonio de Jesús y por la palabra de Dios, los que no habían adorado a la bestia ni a su imagen, y que no recibieron la marca en sus frentes ni en sus manos; y vivieron y reinaron con Cristo mil años. 5 Pero los otros muertos no volvieron a vivir hasta que se cumplieron mil años. Ésta es la primera resurrección.
6 Bienaventurado y santo el que tiene parte en la primera resurrección; la segunda muerte no tiene potestad sobre éstos, sino que serán sacerdotes de Dios y de Cristo, y reinarán con él mil años.
7 Cuando los mil años se cumplan, Satanás será suelto de su prisión, 8 y saldrá a engañar a las naciones que están en los cuatro ángulos de la tierra, a Gog y a Magog,t a fin de reunirlos para la batalla; el número de los cuales es como la arena del mar. 9 Y subieron sobre la anchura de la tierra, y rodearon el campamento de los santos y la ciudad amada; y de Dios descendió fuego del cielo, y los consumió.
10 Y el diablo que los engañaba fue lanzado en el lago de fuego y azufre, donde estaban la bestia y el falso profeta; y serán atormentados día y noche por los siglos de los siglos.El juicio ante el gran trono blanco
11 Y vi un gran trono blanco y al que estaba sentado en él, de delante del cual huyeron la tierra y el cielo, y ningún lugar se encontró para ellos. 12 Y vi a los muertos, grandes y pequeños, de pie ante Dios; y los libros fueron abiertos, y otro libro fue abierto, el cual es el libro de la vida; y fueron juzgados los muertos por las cosas que estaban escritas en los libros, según sus obras.t 13 Y el mar entregó los muertos que había en él; y la muerte y el Hades entregaron los muertos que había en ellos; y fueron juzgados cada uno según sus obras. 14 Y la muerte y el Hades fueron lanzados al lago de fuego. Ésta es la muerte segunda. 15 Y el que no se halló inscrito en el libro de la vida fue lanzado al lago de fuego.
REVELATION 20
The Thousand Years
1 I saw an angel come down from heaven, carrying the key to the deep pit and a big chain. 2 t He chained the dragon for 1,000 years. It is that old snake, who is also known as the devil and Satan.
3 Then the angel threw the dragon into the pit. He locked and sealed it, so 1,000 years would go by before the dragon could fool the nations again. But after that, it would have to be set free for a little while.
4 t I saw thrones, and sitting on those thrones were the ones who had been given the right to judge. I also saw the souls of the people who had their heads cut off because they had told about Jesus and preached God's message. They were the same ones who had not worshiped the beast or the idol, and they had refused to let its mark be put on their foreheads or hands. They will come to life and rule with Christ for 1,000 years.
5-6 These people are the first to be raised to life, and they are especially blessed and holy. The second deatht has no power over them. They will be priests for God and Christ and will rule with them for 1,000 years.
No other dead people were raised to life until 1,000 years later.Satan Is Defeated
7 At the end of the 1,000 years, Satan will be set free. 8 t He will fool the countries of Gog and Magog, which are at the far ends of the earth, and their people will follow him into battle. They will have as many followers as there are grains of sand along the beach, 9 and they will march all the way across the earth. They will surround the camp of God's people and the city God loves. But fire will come down from heaven and destroy the whole army.
10 Then the devil who fooled them will be thrown into the lake of fire and burning sulfur. He will be there with the beast and the false prophet, and they will be in pain day and night forever and ever.The Judgment //at the Great White Throne
11 t I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was no place for them to go.
12 t I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Every one of them was there, no matter who they had once been. Several books were opened, and then the book of lifet was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done.
13 The sea gave up the dead people who were in it, and death and its kingdom also gave up their dead. Then everyone was judged by what they had done. 14 Afterwards, death and its kingdom were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.t 15 Anyone whose name wasn't written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
