ヨハネの黙示録 20

二○

1 そのとき私は、底なしの穴のかぎと太い鎖とを手にした御使いが、天から下って来るのを見ました。　2 彼は、悪魔とかサタンとか呼ばれている、あの古い蛇である竜をつかまえ、鎖で縛って、千年の間、　3 底なしの穴に閉じ込めてしまいました。　こうして竜は、定められた千年が過ぎるまでは、世界の国々をだますことが、できなくなりました。　しかし、その期間が終われば、しばらくの間だけ自由な活動が許されるのです。
4 それから私は、数多くの王座を見ました。　そこには、さばく権威を神様から授けられた人々が、座っていました。　私はまた、イエス様について証言し、神様のことばを伝えたために首をはねられた人々のたましいと、獣をもその像をも拝まず、額や手にいれずみをしなかった人々のたましいとを見ました。　その人々はみな生き返って、キリスト様と共に千年間、世界を支配しました。
5 これが第一の復活です。〔残りの死者は、千年が過ぎるまで、　死んだままでした。〕　6 第一の復活を経験する人は幸いな人であり、　きよい人です。　彼らには、第二の死など、恐ろしくありません。神様とキリスト様の祭司になった彼らは、キリスト様と共に、千年間、支配するからです。
7 千年の後、悪魔は閉じ込められていた場所から出されます。　8 悪魔は、地上の国々をだまそうと行き巡り、戦いのために、人々をゴグとマゴグともども駆り立てます。　それは、海辺の砂のように数えきれない大軍です。　9 彼らは、地上の広々とした大平原に攻め上り、クリスチャンと都エルサレムとを取り囲みます。　ところが、天の神様のもとから、敵軍めがけて火が下り、彼らを焼き滅ぼしてしまいます。
10 その後、人々をだましていた悪魔は、獣や偽預言者と同じく、硫黄の燃える火の池へ投げ込まれます。　そこで、昼も夜も、永遠に苦しむのです。
11 また私は、大きな白い王座と、そこに座しておられるお方とを見ました。　地も空も、そのお方の顔を避けて逃げ出し、影も形もなくなってしまいました。　12 私はすべての死者が、大きい者も小さい者も、神様の前に立つのを見ました。　いのちの書をはじめ、さまざまな書物が開かれました。　死者は、これらの書物の規定に従い、それぞれの行ないに応じて、さばかれました。　13 海も地も地下の世界も、その中の死者を吐き出しました。　そして各自が、その行ないに応じて、さばかれました。　14 死も地獄も、火の池に投げ込まれました。　この火の池が、第二の死です。　15 いのちの書に名前の記されていない者はみな、火の池に投げ込まれたのです。新しい世界

Revelation 20

1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection.6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them.10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works.13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire.15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
