Apocalipsa 21

Un cer nou și un pământ nou

1 Apoi am văzut un cer nou și un pământ nou, căci primul cer și primul pământ trecuseră, și nici marea nu mai era.2 Și am văzut Cetatea Sfântă, Noul Ierusalim, coborând din cer, de la Dumnezeu, pregătită ca o mireasă împodobită pentru soțul ei.3 Am auzit un glas puternic ieșind de la tron și spunând: „Iată, cortult lui Dumnezeu este cu oameniit! El va veni să locuiascăt împreună cu ei, iar ei vor fi poporult Lui. Și Dumnezeu Însuși va fi cu ei (și va fi Dumnezeul lor)t.4 El va șterge orice lacrimă din ochii lor și moartea nu va mai fi; nu va mai fi nici jale, nici strigăt, nici durere, pentru că lucrurile dintâi s-au dus.“

5 Cel Ce ședea pe tron a zis: „Iată, Eu fac toate lucrurile noi!“ A mai zis: „Scrie, pentru că aceste cuvinte sunt demne de încredere și adevărate!“6 Apoi mi-a zis: „S-a terminat! Eu sunt Alfa și Omegat, Începutul și Sfârșitul. Celui ce îi este sete îi voi da să bea fără plată din izvorul apei vieții.7 Cel ce învinge, va moșteni aceste lucruri și Eu voi fi Dumnezeul Lui, iar el va fi fiul Meu.8 Cât despre lași, necredincioși, scârboși, ucigași, desfrânați, vrăjitori, închinători la idoli și toți mincinoșii, partea lor este în lacul care arde cu foc și pucioasă, adică moartea a doua.“

Noul Ierusalim

9 Unul din cei șapte îngeri, care au avut cele șapte vase pline cu ultimele șapte urgii, a venit și a vorbit cu mine, spunând: „Vino! Îți voi arăta mireasa, soția Mielului!“10 M-a dus, în Duhul, pe un munte mare și înalt și mi-a arătat Cetatea Sfântă, Ierusalimul, coborând din cer, de la Dumnezeu.11 Ea avea slava lui Dumnezeu, iar strălucirea ei era ca a unei pietre deosebit de prețioasă, ca un jasp, strălucind ca și cristalul.12 Avea un zid mare și înalt, avea douăsprezece porți, iar la porți – doisprezece îngeri. Pe ele erau scrise numele celor douăsprezece seminții ale fiilor lui Israel.13 Trei porți erau spre răsărit, trei porți spre nord, trei porți spre sud și trei porți spre apus.14 Zidul cetății avea douăsprezece temelii și pe ele erau numele celor doisprezece apostoli ai Mielului.

15 Cel care a vorbit cu mine avea o trestie de aur pentru măsurat, ca să măsoare cetatea, porțile și zidul ei.16 Cetatea era așezată în formă de pătrat, lungimea ei fiind la fel ca și lățimea. A măsurat cetatea cu trestia și era de douăsprezece mii de stadiit. Lungimea, lățimea și înălțimea erau la fel.17 A măsurat și zidul și era de o sută patruzeci și patru de coțit, după unitatea de măsură a omului, căci pe aceasta o folosea îngerul.18 Zidul era construit din jasp, iar cetatea era din aur curat, asemenea sticlei curate.19 Temeliile zidului cetății erau decorate cu tot felul de pietre prețioase. Prima temelie era de jasp, a doua – de safir, a treia – de calcedonie, a patra – de smarald,20 a cincea – de sardonix, a șasea – de sardiu, a șaptea – de crisolit, a opta – de beril, a noua – de topaz, a zecea – de crisopraz, a unsprezecea – de iacint, a douăsprezecea – de ametist.t21 Cele douăsprezece porți erau douăsprezece mărgăritare; fiecare poartă era dintr-un singur mărgăritar. Strada cetății era din aur curat, limpede ca sticla.

22 N-am văzut nici un templu în cetate , pentru că Domnul, Dumnezeul cel Atotputernic și Mielul sunt Templul ei.23 Cetatea nu are nevoie nici de soare, nici de lună, ca să-i dea lumină, pentru că o luminează slava lui Dumnezeu, iar Mielul este sfeșnicul ei.24 Neamurile vor umbla în lumina ei, iar regii pământului își vor aduce gloria în ea.25 Porțile ei nu vor fi închise niciodată ziua și acolo nu va mai fi noapte.26 Gloria și onoarea neamurilor vor fi aduse în ea.27 Nimic necurat nu va intra în ea și nimeni care trăiește în spurcăciune și minciună, ci doar cei care sunt scriși în Cartea Vieții Mielului.

REVELATION 21

The New Heaven and //the New Earth

1  t I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

2 t Then I saw New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.

3  t I heard a loud voice shout from the throne:
God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people.

4 t He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.

5 Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. 6 t Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, t the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty.

7 t All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

8 But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death.t

The New Jerusalem

10 t Then with the help of the Spirit, he took me to the top of a very high mountain. There he showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down from God in heaven.
11 The glory of God made the city bright. It was dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone. 12 t The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 Three of these gates were on the east, three were on the north, three more were on the south, and the other three were on the west.

14 The city was built on twelve foundation stones. On each of the stones was written the name of one of the Lamb's twelve apostles.
15  t The angel who spoke to me had a gold measuring stick to measure the city and its gates and its walls. 16 The city was shaped like a cube, because it was just as high as it was wide. When the angel measured the city, it was about 2,400 kilometers high and 2,400 kilometers wide.

17 Then the angel measured the wall, and by our measurements it was about 60 meters high.
18  t t The wall was built of jasper, and the city was made of pure gold, clear as crystal. 19 Each of the twelve foundations was a precious stone. The first was jasper, t the second was sapphire, the third was agate, the fourth was emerald, 20 the fifth was onyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, the eighth was beryl, the ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst.

21 Each of the twelve gates was a solid pearl. The streets of the city were made of pure gold, clear as crystal.
22 I did not see a temple there. The Lord God All-Powerful and the Lamb were its temple.

23 t And the city did not need the sun or the moon. The glory of God was shining on it, and the Lamb was its light.
24  t Nations will walk by the light of that city, and kings will bring their riches there. 25 t Its gates are always open during the day, and night never comes. 26 The glorious treasures of nations will be brought into the city. 27 t But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of lifet will be in the city.
