Новый Иерусалим

1  Потом я увидел новое небо и новую землю. Первого неба и первой земли уже не было, моря тоже больше не было.

2  Я увидел святой город – новый Иерусалим. Он спускался с небес от Бога, приготовленный как невеста, украшенная для своего мужа.

3  И я услышал громкий голос, прозвучавший от трона:
– Это жилище Бога с людьми. Здесь Он будет жить с ними, и они будут Его народом, и Сам Бог будет с ними и будет им Богом.

4  Он отрет с их глаз каждую слезу. Больше не будет ни смерти, ни скорби, ни вопля, ни боли, потому что прежнее ушло.

5  Сидящий на троне сказал:
– Я творю все новое!
И Он добавил:
– Запиши, потому что это верные и истинные слова.

6  Затем Он сказал мне:
– Свершилось! Я Альфа и Омега, Начало и Конец! Тому, кто мучится от жажды, Я дам пить безвозмездно из источника воды жизни.

7  Побеждающий наследует все это, и Я буду его Богом, а он будет Моим сыном.

8  Но трусам, неверным, подлым, убийцам, развратникам, колдунам, идолопоклонникам и всем лжецам – им место в озере с горящей серой. Это вторая смерть.

9  Один из ангелов, имеющих семь чаш, наполненных семью последними бедствиями, подошел и сказал мне:
– Пойдем, я покажу тебе невесту, жену Ягненка!

10  И он перенес меня в духе на большую и высокую гору. Оттуда он показал мне святой город Иерусалим, спускающийся с небес от Бога.

11  Он сияет славой Бога, и его сияние напоминает сияние драгоценнейшего камня наподобие яшмы, чистой, как кристалл.

12  У города большая и высокая стена и двенадцать ворот, а у ворот – двенадцать ангелов. На воротах написаны имена двенадцати родов Израиля.

13  Трое ворот – с востока, трое – с севера, трое – с юга и трое – с запада.

14  Стена города стоит на двенадцати основаниях, и на них написаны имена двенадцати апостолов Ягненка.

15  У ангела, который говорил со мной, была золотая трость для измерения города, его ворот и стен.

16  Город был квадратным, длина его равнялась ширине. Ангел измерил город тростью. Длина города была двенадцать тысяч стадий. Его ширина и высота равнялись длине.

17  Ангел измерил стены, они были толщиной в сто сорок четыре локтя, согласно человеческим меркам, которыми пользовался ангел.

18  Стена была построена из яшмы, а сам город – из чистого, как прозрачное стекло, золота.

19  Основания стен города были украшены всевозможными драгоценными камнями: первое основание было из яшмы, второе – из сапфира, третье – из агата, четвертое – из изумруда,

20  пятое – из оникса, шестое – из сердолика, седьмое – из хризолита, восьмое – из берилла, девятое – из топаза, десятое – из хризопраза, одиннадцатое – из гиацинта, двенадцатое – из аметиста.

21  Двенадцать ворот были двенадцатью жемчужинами: каждые ворота из отдельной жемчужины. А центральная улица города была из чистого, как прозрачное стекло, золота.

22  Храма в городе я не видел, потому что его храм – это Сам Господь Бог Вседержитель и Ягненок.

23  Город не нуждается в солнечном или лунном свете, потому что слава Бога освещает его и Ягненок является его светилом.

24  Народы будут ходить в его свете, и цари земли принесут в него свою славу.

25  Ворота города никогда не будут закрыты днем, а ночи там не будет.

26  И принесут в него славу и честь народов.

27  В него не войдет ничто нечистое, и никто совершающий постыдные или лживые поступки. Там будут только те, чьи имена записаны у Ягненка в книге жизни.

REVELATION 21

The New Heaven and //the New Earth

1  t I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

2 t Then I saw New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.

3  t I heard a loud voice shout from the throne:
God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people.

4 t He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.

5 Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. 6 t Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, t the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty.

7 t All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

8 But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death.t

The New Jerusalem

10 t Then with the help of the Spirit, he took me to the top of a very high mountain. There he showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down from God in heaven.
11 The glory of God made the city bright. It was dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone. 12 t The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 Three of these gates were on the east, three were on the north, three more were on the south, and the other three were on the west.

14 The city was built on twelve foundation stones. On each of the stones was written the name of one of the Lamb's twelve apostles.
15  t The angel who spoke to me had a gold measuring stick to measure the city and its gates and its walls. 16 The city was shaped like a cube, because it was just as high as it was wide. When the angel measured the city, it was about 2,400 kilometers high and 2,400 kilometers wide.

17 Then the angel measured the wall, and by our measurements it was about 60 meters high.
18  t t The wall was built of jasper, and the city was made of pure gold, clear as crystal. 19 Each of the twelve foundations was a precious stone. The first was jasper, t the second was sapphire, the third was agate, the fourth was emerald, 20 the fifth was onyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, the eighth was beryl, the ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst.

21 Each of the twelve gates was a solid pearl. The streets of the city were made of pure gold, clear as crystal.
22 I did not see a temple there. The Lord God All-Powerful and the Lamb were its temple.

23 t And the city did not need the sun or the moon. The glory of God was shining on it, and the Lamb was its light.
24  t Nations will walk by the light of that city, and kings will bring their riches there. 25 t Its gates are always open during the day, and night never comes. 26 The glorious treasures of nations will be brought into the city. 27 t But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of lifet will be in the city.
