مکاشفهٔ یوحنا 21
آسمان و زمین جدید
1 آنگاه آسمانی تازه و زمینی تازه دیدم. زیرا آن آسمان و زمین نخستین ناپدید شدند و دیگر دریایی وجود نداشت. 2 شهر مقدّس یعنی اورشلیم تازه را دیدم كه از آسمان از جانب خدا، مانند عروسی كه برای شوهرش آراسته و آماده شده باشد، به زیر میآمد. 3 از تخت صدای بلندی شنیدم كه میگفت: «اكنون خانهٔ خدا در میان آدمیان است و او در بین آنان ساكن خواهد شد و آنان قوم او، و او خدای آنان خواهد بود.
4 او هر اشكی را از چشمان آنها پاک خواهد كرد. دیگر از مرگ و غم و گریه و درد و رنج خبری نخواهد بود، زیرا چیزهای كهنه درگذشته است.»
5 سپس آن تختنشین گفت: «اكنون من همهچیز را از نو میسازم.» و به من گفت: «این را بنویس زیرا این سخنان، راست است و میتوان به آنها اعتماد كرد.» 6 او به من گفت: «تمام شد! من الف و یاء، اول و آخر هستم. این است امتیاز کسیکه پیروز شود؛ من به تشنگان از آب چشمهٔ حیات، رایگان خواهم بخشید. 7 من خدای او خواهم بود و او فرزند من.
8 امّا سزای ترسویان، بیایمانان، فاسدان، آدمكُشان، زناكاران، جادوگران، بتپرستان و انواع دروغگویان، دریاچهای از شعلههای آتش و گوگرد خواهد بود. این است مرگ دوم.»اورشلیم جدید
9 آنگاه یكی از آن هفت فرشته كه هفت پیاله پر از هفت بلای آخر را به دست داشت آمد و به من گفت: «بیا، من عروس یعنی همسر برّه را به تو نشان خواهم داد.» 10 او مرا در روح به كوه بسیار بلندی برد و شهر مقدّس اورشلیم را به من نشان داد كه از آسمان، از نزد خدا به زیر میآمد. 11 این شهر، با شكوه خدایی و مانند جواهری گرانبها میدرخشید؛ آن مانند یشم بود و به روشنی بلور. 12 دیوار بسیار بلندی با دوازده دروازه داشت كه بر آنها دوازده فرشته بود و بر دروازهها، نامهای دوازده طایفهٔ بنیاسرائیل نقش بسته بود. 13 سه دروازه به جانب مشرق بود، سه دروازه به جانب شمال، سه دروازه به جانب جنوب و سه دروازه به جانب مغرب. 14 دیوار شهر بر دوازده سنگ بنا شده بود و بر آن سنگها، نامهای دوازده رسول برّه منقوش بود. 15 فرشتهای كه با من سخن میگفت، متری زرّین در دست داشت تا شهر و دیوارش و دروازههایش را با آن اندازه بگیرد. 16 شهر به شكل مربّع و پهنا و درازایش یكسان بود؛ اندازهٔ آن با متری كه در دست داشت، دو هزار و چهارصد كیلومتر بود. درازا و پهنا و بلندیش برابر بود. 17 دیوارش به بلندی یكصد و شصت و پنج متر بود، یعنی با مقیاسهای انسانی كه آن فرشته به كار میبرد. 18 دیوارش از یشم ساخته شده بود. خود شهر از زرِ ناب و مانند شیشه، پاک و شفّاف بود. 19 سنگهایی كه دیوارهای شهر بر آنها بنا شده بود، به انواع گوهرها آراسته شده بود. نخستین سنگ بنا از یشم بود، دومی لاجورد، سومی عقیق سفید، چهارمی زمرّد، 20 پنجمی عقیق سرخ، ششمی عقیق جگری، هفتمی زبرجد سبز، هشتمی یاقوت كبود، نهمی یاقوت زرد، دهمی عقیق سبز، یازدهمی فیروزه و دوازدهمی لعل بنفش بود.
21 دوازده دروازهٔ آن شهر عبارت از دوازده مروارید بود و هر دروازه از یک مروارید ساخته شده بود. خیابانهای شهر از زرِ ناب و مانند شیشه، پاک و شفّاف بود.
22 در شهر معبدی ندیدم، زیرا معبدش خود خداوند، خدای قادر مطلق و برّه بود. 23 شهر نیازی به خورشید و ماه نداشت كه بر آن بتابد؛ زیرا شكوه خدا بر آن نور میداد و چراغ آن برّه است. 24 در نور او ملّتها راه خواهند رفت و پادشاهان زمین همهٔ جلال خود را به آنجا خواهند آورد. 25 دروازههای شهر، در روز بسته نمیشوند و شب نیز در آنجا نخواهد بود. 26 ثروت و جلال ملل به آنجا خواهد آمد، 27 امّا هیچ ناپاكی وارد آن نخواهد شد و نه کسیکه گفتارش ناراست و كارهایش زشت و پلید است، بلكه تنها آن کسانیکه نامشان در دفتر حیات برّه نوشته شده است به آن وارد میشوند.
REVELATION 21
The New Heaven and //the New Earth
1 t I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.
2 t Then I saw New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.
3 t I heard a loud voice shout from the throne:
God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people.
4 t He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.
5 Then the one sitting on the throne said:
I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. 6 t Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, t the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty.
7 t All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
8 But I will tell you what will happen to cowards and to everyone who is unfaithful or dirty-minded or who murders or is sexually immoral or uses witchcraft or worships idols or tells lies. They will be thrown into that lake of fire and burning sulfur. This is the second death.tThe New Jerusalem
9 I saw one of the seven angels who had the bowls filled with the seven last terrible troubles. The angel came to me and said, “Come on! I will show you the one who will be the bride and wife of the Lamb.”
10 t Then with the help of the Spirit, he took me to the top of a very high mountain. There he showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down from God in heaven.
11 The glory of God made the city bright. It was dazzling and crystal clear like a precious jasper stone. 12 t The city had a high and thick wall with twelve gates, and each one of them was guarded by an angel. On each of the gates was written the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 Three of these gates were on the east, three were on the north, three more were on the south, and the other three were on the west.
14 The city was built on twelve foundation stones. On each of the stones was written the name of one of the Lamb's twelve apostles.
15 t The angel who spoke to me had a gold measuring stick to measure the city and its gates and its walls. 16 The city was shaped like a cube, because it was just as high as it was wide. When the angel measured the city, it was about 2,400 kilometers high and 2,400 kilometers wide.
17 Then the angel measured the wall, and by our measurements it was about 60 meters high.
18 t t The wall was built of jasper, and the city was made of pure gold, clear as crystal. 19 Each of the twelve foundations was a precious stone. The first was jasper, t the second was sapphire, the third was agate, the fourth was emerald, 20 the fifth was onyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, the eighth was beryl, the ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst.
21 Each of the twelve gates was a solid pearl. The streets of the city were made of pure gold, clear as crystal.
22 I did not see a temple there. The Lord God All-Powerful and the Lamb were its temple.
23 t And the city did not need the sun or the moon. The glory of God was shining on it, and the Lamb was its light.
24 t Nations will walk by the light of that city, and kings will bring their riches there. 25 t Its gates are always open during the day, and night never comes. 26 The glorious treasures of nations will be brought into the city. 27 t But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of lifet will be in the city.
