Aabenbaringen 22

1 Så viste englen mig en flod med livgivende vand, rent og klart som krystal. Den udsprang fra Guds og Lammets trone, som står i byen,2 og floden fortsatte ned midt gennem byens hovedgade. På hver side af floden voksede livgivende træer. Det er træer, der bærer frugt tolv gange om året, en gang hver måned, og bladene er til lægedom for folkeslagene.t3 Enhver forbandelse er bandlyst, for byen er under ledelse af Gud selv og Lammet, og Guds tjenere er altid parate til at tjene ham.4 De får lov til at se hans ansigt, og de går rundt med hans navn på panden.

5 Der skal ikke være nat mere, og de vil ikke have brug for nogen lampe eller for solens lys, for Gud Herren vil lyse for dem, og de skal være hans medregenter i al evighed.

Afsluttende ord

6 Derpå sagde englen til mig: Det, du har hørt og set, er troværdigt og sandt. Gud, Herren, som giver profeterne sin Ånd, sendte sin engel for at vise sine tjenere, hvad der snart skal ske.

7 Hør efter! Jeg kommer snart! Velsignet er den, der tager de profetiske ord i denne bog til sig.
8 Jeg, Johannes, er den, som hørte og så disse ting. Da jeg havde hørt og set det hele, kastede jeg mig ned for fødderne af englen for at hylde ham.9 Men han sagde til mig: Nej, gør det ikke! Jeg er Guds tjener ligesom du og de andre profeter og alle dem, der tager ordene i denne bog til sig. Giv al ære til Gud!

10 Han fortsatte: Du skal ikke holde de profetiske ord i denne bog hemmelige, for tiden er nær.
11 Lad dem, der gør det onde, fortsætte med det. Lad dem, der lever et beskidt liv, fortsætte med det. Lad dem, der gør det gode, fortsætte med det. Lad dem, der lever et rent liv, fortsætte med det.12 Ja, jeg kommer snart, siger Jesus. Jeg vil belønne alle i forhold til deres handlinger.

13 Jeg er Alfa og Omega, den første og den sidste, begyndelsen og afslutningen.
14 Velsignede er de, som har gjort deres dragter rene,t så de har lov til at spise af frugten fra livets træ og gå ind gennem byens porte,

15 men de andre må blive uden for byen: De beskidte køtere,t de okkulte og de, der lever i seksuel synd, voldsmændene, afgudsdyrkerne, ja alle, som foretrækker at leve på en løgn.

16 Jeg sendte min engel, sagde Jesus, for at han skulle fortælle det her til menighederne. Jeg er Davids rodskudt og efterkommer, den strålende morgenstjerne.

17 Ånden og bruden siger: Kom! Lad dem, der hører dette, sige: Kom! De, som er tørstige, må komme. Enhver, som ønsker det, kan drikke så meget, de vil, af det livgivende vand.
18 Jeg understreger kraftigt for enhver, som hører de profetiske ord i denne bog: Hvis nogen lægger noget til, vil Gud lægge alle de plager på ham, som er beskrevet i denne bog.

19 Og hvis nogen tager noget væk, vil Gud fratage ham retten til livets træ og den hellige by, som der er skrevet om i denne bog.
20 Han, som fortæller de her ting, siger: Jeg kommer snart!
Ja, Herre Jesus, kom snart!

21 Herren Jesu nåde være med jer alle.

Revelation 22

1 Thent the angelt showed me the river of the water of life – water as clear as crystal – pouring outt from the throne of God and of the Lamb,2 flowing down the middle of the city’st main street.t On each sidet of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kindst of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year.t Its leaves are for the healing of the nations.3 And there will no longer be any curse,t and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city.t Hist servantst will worshipt him,4 and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

5 Night will be no more, and they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.

A Final Reminder

6 Thent the angelt said to me, “These words are reliablet and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servantst what must happen soon.”

Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy expressed in this book.)s
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things,t and when I heard and saw them,t I threw myself downt to worship at the feet of the angel who was showing them to me.9 Butt he said to me, “Do not do this!t I am a fellow servantt with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who obeyt the words of this book. Worship God!”10 Thent he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy contained in this book, because the time is near.

11 The evildoer must continue to do evil,t and the one who is morally filthyt must continue to be filthy. Thet one who is righteous must continue to act righteously, and the one who is holy must continue to be holy.”

and my reward is with me to payt each one according to what he has done!

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the first and the last,
the beginning and the end!)s
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can have accesst to the tree of life and can enter into the city by the gates.

15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcererst and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood!t
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!”t

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say: “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.
18 I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues describedt in this book.

19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of lifes and in the holy city that are described in this book.
20 The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.s
