Uppenbarelseboken 22

Floden med livets vatten

1 Han visade mig sedan en flod med livets vatten, glittrande som kristall, och den kom från Guds och Lammets tron och

2 flöt fram mitt i den stora gatan. På båda sidor om floden växte livets träd, som bär frukt tolv gånger om året och ger skörd varje månad, och bladen från träden är läkemedel för alla folk.t
3 Inget som Gud har dömt att gå under ska finnas mer. Guds och Lammets tron ska stå i staden, och hans tjänare ska tillbe honom.4 De ska se hans ansikte, och hans namn ska stå skrivet på deras pannor.

5 Det ska aldrig mer bli mörkt, och ingen behöver längre några lampor eller solens ljus, för Herren Gud ska lysa över dem. Och de ska regera i all evighet.

6 Efter det sa ängeln till mig: "Mitt budskap är trovärdigt och sant. Herren Gud, som ger sitt budskap till profeterna, har sänt sin ängel för att visa sina tjänare vad som snart måste hända."

Jesus kommer snart

7 "Se", säger Jesus, "jag kommer snart! Lycklig är den som tar vara på det budskap från Gud som finns nedskrivet i den här boken."
8 Det var jag, Johannes, som fick höra och se allt detta. Och när jag hade hört och sett allt föll jag ner för att hylla ängeln som hade visat det för mig,9 men han sa: "Nej, gör inte det! Jag är bara Guds tjänare, precis som du och de andra profeterna som framfört Guds budskap, och precis som alla de som tar vara på det som står i den här boken. Det är Gud du ska tillbe."10 Och han sa till mig: "Hemlighåll inte budskapet från Gud som du har skrivit ner i den här boken, för det dröjer inte länge förrän allt detta går i uppfyllelse.

11 Under ännu en tid får den som är ond fortsätta att vara ond, och den som syndar fortsätta att synda. Men den som är god fortsätter att vara god, och den som lever helt för Gud fortsätter att leva helt för Gud."
12 "Se", säger Jesus, "jag kommer snart, och jag har med mig lön som ska delas ut till var och en efter hans gärningar.

13 Jag är alfa och omega,t den förste och den siste, början och slutet på allting."
14 Lyckliga är de som tvättar sina kläder rena,t för de ska få rätt att äta av frukten från livets träd och gå in genom stadens portar.

15 Men utanför står de som har vänt Gud ryggen, de som har sysslat med magi och ockultism, de som har ägnat sig åt sexuell lössläppthet, mördarna, avgudadyrkarna och alla som har älskat lögnen och levt sitt i liv i lögn.

16 "Jag, Jesus, har sänt min ängel till er för att berätta om detta för församlingarna. Jag är kung Davids ättling och arvingen till hans tron. Jag är den strålande morgonstjärnan.t"

17 Guds Ande och brudent säger: "Kom!" Och när du hör det ska du också säga: "Kom!" Du som är törstig, kom, för den som vill får dricka av livets vattent helt gratis.
18 Men jag vill varna alla som lyssnar till budskapet från Gud i den här boken: Om någon lägger till något till det som är skrivet, ska Gud låta honom drabbas av alla de plågor som det står om i boken.

19 Och om någon tar bort något från det budskap Gud har framfört i boken, ska Gud ta ifrån honom hans del i livets träd och den heliga staden, som det står om i boken.
20 Han som intygar detta säger: "Ja, jag kommer snart!"
Ja, det är sant!t Kom, Herre Jesus!

21 Med önskan om att Herren Jesus godhet och kärlek ska följa er alla.

Revelation 22

1 Thent the angelt showed me the river of the water of life – water as clear as crystal – pouring outt from the throne of God and of the Lamb,2 flowing down the middle of the city’st main street.t On each sidet of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kindst of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year.t Its leaves are for the healing of the nations.3 And there will no longer be any curse,t and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city.t Hist servantst will worshipt him,4 and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

5 Night will be no more, and they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.

A Final Reminder

6 Thent the angelt said to me, “These words are reliablet and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servantst what must happen soon.”

7 (Look! I am coming soon!
Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy expressed in this book.)s
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things,t and when I heard and saw them,t I threw myself downt to worship at the feet of the angel who was showing them to me.9 Butt he said to me, “Do not do this!t I am a fellow servantt with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who obeyt the words of this book. Worship God!”10 Thent he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy contained in this book, because the time is near.

11 The evildoer must continue to do evil,t and the one who is morally filthyt must continue to be filthy. Thet one who is righteous must continue to act righteously, and the one who is holy must continue to be holy.”

12 (Look! I am coming soon,
and my reward is with me to payt each one according to what he has done!

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,
the first and the last,
the beginning and the end!)s
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can have accesst to the tree of life and can enter into the city by the gates.

15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcererst and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood!t
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!”t

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say: “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.
18 I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues describedt in this book.

19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of lifes and in the holy city that are described in this book.
20 The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.s
