نهر آب حیات و درخت حیات

1 آنگاه نهر آب حیات را به من نشان داد که همچون بلور شفاف بود و از تخت خدا و بره جاری می‌شد2 و از وسط میدان شهر می‌گذشت. در دو طرف نهر، درخت حیات بود که دوازده بارْ میوه می‌داد، یعنی هر ماه یک بار. و برگهای آن برای شفای قومها بود.3 و دیگر هیچ لعنتی وجود نخواهد داشت. تخت خدا و تخت بره در آن شهر خواهد بود و خادمانش او را خواهند پرستید.4 آنها روی او را خواهند دید و نام او بر پیشانی آنها خواهد بود.5 و دیگر شب وجود نخواهد داشت و آنها به نور چراغ یا خورشید نیازمند نخواهند بود، زیرا خداوندْ خدا به آنها روشنایی خواهد بخشید. و آنها تا ابد سلطنت خواهند کرد.

خاتمه

6 فرشته به من گفت: «این سخنان درخور اعتماد است و راست است. خداوند، خدای ارواح انبیا، فرشتۀ خود را فرستاد تا آنچه را که می‌باید زود واقع شود، به خادمان خود باز نماید.»7 «اینک بزودی می‌آیم! خوشا به حال کسی که کلام نبوّت این کتاب را نگاه می‌دارد.»8 من، یوحنا، همان کسی هستم که این چیزها را دیدم و شنیدم. و پس از دیدن و شنیدن آنها، پیش پا‌های آن فرشته که آنها را به من نشان داده بود، افتادم تا سجده کنم.9 امّا او به من گفت: «مبادا چنین کنی! من نیز همچون تو و برادران تو، انبیا، و آنان که کلام این کتاب را نگاه می‌دارند، خادم اویم. خدا را بپرست.»10 آنگاه به من گفت: «کلام نبوّت این کتاب را مُهر نکن زیرا وقتْ نزدیک است.11 پس شخص بدکار، به بدی کردن ادامه دهد و مفسد، همچنان به فساد بپردازد؛ نیکوکار، به نیکویی کردن ادامه دهد و مقدّس، همچنان مقدّس بماند.»12 «اینک بزودی می‌آیم و پاداش من با من است تا به هر کس بر حسب اعمالش جزا دهم.13 من ”الف“ و ”ی“، اوّل و آخر، و ابتدا و انتها هستم.»14 خوشا به حال آنان که ردای خود را می‌شویند تا حقِ دسترسی به درخت حیات را پیدا کنند و بتوانند به دروازه‌های شهر داخل شوند.15 سگها و جادوگرها و بی‌عفتان و آدمکشان و بت‌پرستان و همۀ کسانی که دروغ را دوست می‌دارند و آن را به‌عمل می‌آورند، بیرون می‌مانند.16 «من، عیسی، فرشتۀ خود را نزد شما فرستادم تا این چیزها را به کلیساها اعلام کند. من ریشه و نسل داوود و ستارۀ درخشان صبح هستم.»17 روح و عروس می‌گویند: «بیا!»
هر آن که می‌شنود بگوید: «بیا!»
هر که تشنه است بیاید؛
و هر که طالب است، از آب حیات به‌رایگان بگیرد.18 من به هر کس که کلام نبوّت این کتاب را می‌شنود هشدار می‌دهم که اگر کسی چیزی بدان بیفزاید، خدا بلاهای نوشته شده در این کتاب را بر او خواهد افزود.19 و اگر کسی از کلام نبوّت این کتاب چیزی کم کند، خدا او را از درخت حیات و از شهر مقدّس، که در این کتاب دربارۀ آنها نوشته شده است، بی‌نصیب خواهد ساخت.

20 آن که بر این امور شهادت می‌دهد، چنین می‌گوید: «آری، بزودی می‌آیم.»
آمین. بیا، ای خداوندْ عیسی!21 فیض خداوندْ عیسی با همۀ شما باد. آمین.

REVELATION 22

1  t The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated.

2 t Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are treest that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.
3  t God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God 4 tand will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people.

5 t Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.

The Coming of Christ

6 Then I was told:
These words are true and can be trusted. The Lord God controls the spirits of his prophets, and he is the one who sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon.

7 Remember, I am coming soon! God will bless everyone who pays attention to the message of this book.

8 My name is John, and I am the one who heard and saw these things. Then after I had heard and seen all this, I knelt down and began to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown it to me.

9 But the angel said,
Don't do that! I am a servant, just like you. I am the same as a follower or a prophet or anyone else who obeys what is written in this book. God is the one you should worship.

10 Don't keep the prophecies in this book a secret. These things will happen soon.

11  t Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy.

12  t Then I was told:
I am coming soon! And when I come, I will reward everyone for what they have done.

13 t I am Alpha and Omega, t the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
14  t God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city.

15 But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshipers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong.

16  t I am Jesus! And I am the one who sent my angel to tell all of you these things for the churches. I am David's Great Descendant, t and I am also the bright morning star.t

17  t The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”
Everyone who hears thist should say, “Come!”
If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free!

18  t Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book:
If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book.

19 If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book.

20 The one who has spoken these things says, “I am coming soon!”
So, Lord Jesus, please come soon!
21 I pray that the Lord Jesus will be kind to all of you.
