Apocalipsis 22

1  Luego el ángel me mostró un río con el agua de la vida, era transparente como el cristal y fluía del trono de Dios y del Cordero. 2 Fluía por el centro de la calle principal. A cada lado del río crecía el árbol de la vida, el cual produce doce cosechas de fruto,t y una cosecha nueva cada mes. Las hojas se usaban como medicina para sanar a las naciones.

3 Ya no habrá más maldición sobre ninguna cosa, porque allí estará el trono de Dios y del Cordero, y sus siervos lo adorarán. 4 Verán su rostro y tendrán su nombre escrito en la frente. 5 Allí no existirá la noche —no habrá necesidad de la luz de lámparas ni del sol— porque el Señor Dios brillará sobre ellos. Y ellos reinarán por siempre y para siempre.

6 Entonces el ángel me dijo: «Todo lo que has oído y visto es verdadero y digno de confianza. El Señor Dios, que inspira a sus profetas,t ha enviado a su ángel para decirle a sus siervos lo que prontot sucederá».

Jesús viene

7 «Miren, ¡yo vengo pronto! Benditos son los que obedecen las palabras de la profecía que están escritas en este librot».

8 Yo, Juan, soy el que vio y oyó todas estas cosas. Cuando las oí y las vi, me postré para adorar a los pies del ángel que me las mostró. 9 Pero él dijo: «No, no me adores a mí. Yo soy un siervo de Dios tal como tú y tus hermanos los profetas, al igual que todos los que obedecen lo que está escrito en este libro. ¡Adora sólo a Dios!».

10 Entonces me indicó: «No selles las palabras proféticas de este libro porque el tiempo está cerca. 11 Deja que el malo siga haciendo el mal; deja que el vil siga siendo vil; deja que el justo siga llevando una vida justa; deja que el santo permanezca santo».

12 «Miren, yo vengo pronto, y traigo la recompensa conmigo para pagarle a cada uno según lo que haya hecho. 13 Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega, el Primero y el Último, el Principio y el Fin».

14 Benditos son los que lavan sus ropas. A ellos se les permitirá entrar por las puertas de la ciudad y comer del fruto del árbol de la vida. 15 Fuera de la ciudad están los perros: los que practican la brujería, los que cometen inmoralidades sexuales, los asesinos, los que rinden culto a ídolos, y todos los que les encanta vivir una mentira.

16 «Yo, Jesús, he enviado a mi ángel con el fin de darte este mensaje para las iglesias. Yo soy tanto la fuente de David como el heredero de su trono.t Yo soy la estrella brillante de la mañana».

17 El Espíritu y la esposa dicen: «Ven». Que todos los que oyen esto, digan: «Ven». Todos los que tengan sed, vengan. Todo aquel que quiera, beba gratuitamente del agua de la vida. 18 Yo declaro solemnemente a todos los que oyen las palabras de la profecía escritas en este libro: si alguien agrega algo a lo que está escrito aquí, Dios le agregará a esa persona las plagas que se describen en este libro. 19 Y si alguien quita cualquiera de las palabras de este libro de profecía, Dios le quitará su parte del árbol de la vida y de la ciudad santa que se describen en este libro.

20 Aquel que es el testigo fiel de todas esas cosas dice: «¡Sí, yo vengo pronto!».
¡Amén! ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!

21 Que la gracia del Señor Jesús sea con el pueblo santo de Dios.t

REVELATION 22

1  t The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated.

2 t Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are treest that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.
3  t God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God 4 tand will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people.

5 t Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.

The Coming of Christ

6 Then I was told:
These words are true and can be trusted. The Lord God controls the spirits of his prophets, and he is the one who sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon.

7 Remember, I am coming soon! God will bless everyone who pays attention to the message of this book.

8 My name is John, and I am the one who heard and saw these things. Then after I had heard and seen all this, I knelt down and began to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown it to me.

9 But the angel said,
Don't do that! I am a servant, just like you. I am the same as a follower or a prophet or anyone else who obeys what is written in this book. God is the one you should worship.

10 Don't keep the prophecies in this book a secret. These things will happen soon.

11  t Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy.

12  t Then I was told:
I am coming soon! And when I come, I will reward everyone for what they have done.

13 t I am Alpha and Omega, t the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
14  t God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city.

15 But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshipers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong.

16  t I am Jesus! And I am the one who sent my angel to tell all of you these things for the churches. I am David's Great Descendant, t and I am also the bright morning star.t

17  t The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”
Everyone who hears thist should say, “Come!”
If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free!

18  t Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book:
If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book.

19 If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book.

20 The one who has spoken these things says, “I am coming soon!”
So, Lord Jesus, please come soon!
21 I pray that the Lord Jesus will be kind to all of you.
