APOCALIPSIS 22
1 Luego el ángel me mostró un río de aguas que dan vida eterna. Ese río salía del trono de Dios y del Cordero, y era claro como el cristal;
2 sus aguas pasaban por en medio de la calle principal de la ciudad. En cada orilla del río había árboles que daban fruto una vez al mes, o sea, doce veces al año. Sus frutos dan vida eterna, y sus hojas sirven para sanar las enfermedades de todo el mundo.
3 En la ciudad no habrá nada ni nadie que desagrade a Dios. Allí estará el trono de Dios y del Cordero, y los servidores de Dios lo adorarán.4 Todos podrán ver a Dios cara a cara, y el nombre de Dios estará escrito en sus frentes.
5 Allí nunca será de noche, y nunca nadie necesitará la luz de una lámpara ni la luz del sol, porque Dios el Señor será su luz, y ellos reinarán para siempre.
Jesús promete volver pronto
6 El ángel me dijo:
«Todos pueden confiar en lo que aquí se dice, pues es la verdad. El Señor, el mismo Dios que da su Espíritu a los profetas, ha enviado a su ángel para mostrarles a sus servidores lo que pronto sucederá.»
Y Jesús dice:
7 «¡Pongan atención! ¡Yo vengo pronto! Dios bendiga a los que hagan caso de la profecía que está en este libro.»
8 Yo, Juan, vi y oí todas estas cosas. Y después de verlas y oírlas, me arrodillé para adorar al ángel que me las mostró,
9 pero él me dijo: «¡No lo hagas! Adora a Dios, pues todos somos servidores de él: tanto tú como yo, y los profetas y todos los que obedecen la palabra de Dios.»
10 Además me dijo:
«No guardes en secreto las profecías de este libro, porque pronto sucederán.
11 Deja que el malo siga haciendo lo malo; y que quien tenga la mente sucia, siga haciendo cosas sucias. Al que haga el bien, déjalo que siga haciéndolo, y al que haya entregado su vida a Dios, deja que se entregue más a él.»
Jesús dice:
12 «¡Pongan atención! ¡Yo vengo pronto! Y traigo el premio que le daré a cada persona, de acuerdo con lo que haya hecho.
13 Yo soy el principio y el fin, t el primero y el último.»
14 A los que dejen de hacer lo malo, Dios los bendecirá, pues les dará el derecho a comer de los frutos del árbol que da vida eterna. Ellos podrán entrar por los portones de la ciudad.
15 Afuera se quedarán los malvados, los que practican la brujería, los que tienen relaciones sexuales prohibidas, los asesinos, los que adoran a dioses falsos y todos los que engañan y practican el mal.
Jesús dice:
16 «Yo he enviado a mi ángel, para que les diga a las iglesias todas estas cosas. Yo soy el descendiente del rey David; yo soy la estrella que brilla al amanecer.»
17 El Espíritu de Dios y la esposa del Cordero t dicen: «¡Ven, Señor Jesús!»
Y todos los que estén escuchando digan: «¡Ven, Señor Jesús!»
Y el que tenga sed y quiera agua, que venga y tome gratis del agua que da vida eterna.
18 A todos los que escuchen el mensaje de esta profecía, les advierto esto: si alguien le añade algo a este libro, Dios lo castigará con todas las plagas terribles que están descritas en el libro.
19 Y si alguien le quita algo al mensaje de esta profecía, Dios no lo dejará tomar su parte del fruto del árbol que da vida, ni lo dejará vivir en la ciudad santa, como se ha dicho en este libro.
20 El que anuncia estas cosas dice: «Les aseguro que vengo pronto».
¡Así sea! ¡Ven, Señor Jesús!
21 Que el amor del Señor Jesús los acompañe siempre.
REVELATION 22
1 t The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated.
2 t Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are treest that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.
3 t God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God 4 tand will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people.
5 t Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.The Coming of Christ
6 Then I was told:
These words are true and can be trusted. The Lord God controls the spirits of his prophets, and he is the one who sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon.
7 Remember, I am coming soon! God will bless everyone who pays attention to the message of this book.
8 My name is John, and I am the one who heard and saw these things. Then after I had heard and seen all this, I knelt down and began to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown it to me.
9 But the angel said,
Don't do that! I am a servant, just like you. I am the same as a follower or a prophet or anyone else who obeys what is written in this book. God is the one you should worship.
10 Don't keep the prophecies in this book a secret. These things will happen soon.
11 t Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy.
12 t Then I was told:
I am coming soon! And when I come, I will reward everyone for what they have done.
13 t I am Alpha and Omega, t the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
14 t God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city.
15 But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshipers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong.
16 t I am Jesus! And I am the one who sent my angel to tell all of you these things for the churches. I am David's Great Descendant, t and I am also the bright morning star.t
17 t The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”
Everyone who hears thist should say, “Come!”
If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free!
18 t Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book:
If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book.
19 If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book.
20 The one who has spoken these things says, “I am coming soon!”
So, Lord Jesus, please come soon!
21 I pray that the Lord Jesus will be kind to all of you.
