Objawienie św. Jana 4

1 Potem zobaczyłem, a oto drzwi były otwarte w niebie, a pierwszy głos, który słyszałem, jakby trąby mówiącej do mnie, powiedział: Wstąp tutaj, a pokażę ci, co się ma stać potem.
2 I zaraz znalazłem się w zachwyceniu ducha. A oto w niebie stał tron, a na tronie ktoś siedział.
3 A ten, który siedział, podobny był z wyglądu do kamienia jaspisowego i karneolowego, a dokoła tronu była tęcza, podobna z wyglądu do szmaragdu.
4 Wokoło tronu były dwadzieścia cztery trony. Na tronach widziałem siedzących dwudziestu czterech starszych ubranych w białe szaty, a na ich głowach złote korony.
5 Z tronu wychodziły błyskawice, gromy i głosy, a przed tronem paliło się siedem ognistych pochodni, które są siedmioma Duchami Boga.
6 Przed tronem było też morze szklane podobne do kryształu. A pośrodku tronu i wokoło tronu były cztery stworzenia pełne oczu z przodu i z tyłu.
7 Pierwsze stworzenie podobne było do lwa, drugie stworzenie podobne do cielca, trzecie stworzenie miało twarz jakby ludzką, a czwarte stworzenie podobne było do lecącego orła.
8 Każde zaś z tych czterech stworzeń miało po sześć skrzydeł dokoła, a wewnątrz były pełne oczu. I bez odpoczynku, dniem i nocą mówią: Święty, święty, święty, Pan Bóg Wszechmogący, ten, który był i który jest, i który ma przyjść.
9 A gdy stworzenia oddawały chwałę i cześć, i dziękczynienie zasiadającemu na tronie, żyjącemu na wieki wieków;
10 Upadło dwudziestu czterech starszych przed zasiadającym na tronie i oddało pokłon żyjącemu na wieki wieków, i rzucało swoje korony przed tronem, mówiąc:
11 Godzien jesteś, Panie, wziąć chwałę i cześć, i moc, ponieważ ty stworzyłeś wszystko i z twojej woli trwa i zostało stworzone.

REVELATION 4

Worship in Heaven

1 After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, “Come up here! I will show you what must happen next.” 2 t Right then the Spirit took control of me, and there in heaven I saw a throne and someone sitting on it.

3 The one who was sitting there sparkled like precious stones of jaspert and carnelian.t A rainbow that looked like an emeraldt surrounded the throne.
4 Twenty-four other thrones were in a circle around that throne. And on each of these thrones there was an elder dressed in white clothes and wearing a gold crown. 5 t Flashes of lightning and roars of thunder came out from the throne in the center of the circle. Seven torches, which are the seven spirits of God, were burning in front of the throne.

6 t t Also in front of the throne was something that looked like a glass sea, clear as crystal.
Around the throne in the center were four living creatures covered front and back with eyes. 7 The first creature was like a lion, the second one was like a bull, the third one had the face of a human, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.

8 t Each of the four living creatures had six wings, and their bodies were covered with eyes. Day and night they never stopped singing,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord,
the all-powerful God,
who was and is
and is coming!”
9 The living creatures kept praising, honoring, and thanking the one who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever.

10 At the same time the 24 elders knelt down before the one sitting on the throne. And as they worshiped the one who lives forever, they placed their crowns in front of the throne and said,

11  t “Our Lord and God,
you are worthy
to receive glory,
honor, and power.
You created all things,
and by your decision they are
and were created.”
