요한계시록 4

하늘의 예배

1 그 뒤에 내가 보니, 하늘에 문이 하나 열려 있었습니다. 그리고 전에 내가 들은 그 음성, 곧 나팔 소리와 같이 나에게 들린 그 음성이 “이리로 올라오너라. 이 뒤에 일어나야 할 일들을 너에게 보여 주겠다” 하고 말하였습니다. 2 나는 곧 t성령에 사로잡히게 되었습니다. 그런데 하늘에 보좌가 하나 놓여 있고, 그 보좌에 한 분이 앉아 계셨습니다. 3 거기에 앉아 계신 분은, 모습이 벽옥이나 홍옥과 같았습니다. 그 보좌의 둘레에는 비취옥과 같이 보이는 무지개가 있었습니다. 4 또 그 보좌 둘레에는 보좌 스물네 개가 있었는데, 그 보좌에는 장로 스물네 명이 흰 옷을 입고, 머리에는 금 면류관을 쓰고 앉아 있었습니다. 5 그 보좌로부터 번개가 치고, 음성과 천둥이 울려 나오고, 그 보좌 앞에는 일곱 개의 횃불이 타고 있었습니다. 그 일곱 횃불은 하나님의 일곱 영이십니다. 6 보좌 앞은 마치 유리 바다와 같았으며, 수정을 깔아 놓은 듯하였습니다. 그리고 그 보좌 가운데와 그 둘레에는, 앞 뒤에 눈이 가득 달린 네 생물이 있었습니다. 7 첫째 생물은 사자와 같이 생기고, 둘째 생물은 송아지와 같이 생기고, 셋째 생물은 얼굴이 사람과 같이 생기고, 넷째 생물은 날아가는 독수리와 같이 생겼습니다. 8 이 네 생물은 각각 날개가 여섯 개씩 달려 있었는데, 날개 둘레와 그 안쪽에는 눈이 가득 달려 있었습니다. 그리고 그들은 밤낮 쉬지 않고 “거룩하십니다, 거룩하십니다, 거룩하십니다, 전능하신 분, 주 하나님! 전에도 계셨으며, 지금도 계시며, 또 장차 오실 분이십니다!” 하고 외치고 있었습니다.

9 영원무궁 하도록 살아 계셔서 그 보좌에 앉아 계신 분께, 그 생물들이 영광과 존귀와 감사를 드리고 있을 때에, 10 스물네 장로는 그 보좌에 앉아 계신 분 앞에 엎드려서, 영원무궁 하도록 살아 계신 분께 경배드리고, 자기들의 t면류관을 벗어서, 보좌 앞에 내놓으면서 11 “우리의 주님이신 하나님, 주님은 영광과 존귀와 권능을 받으시기에 합당하신 분이십니다. 주님께서 만물을 창조하셨으며, 만물은 주님의 뜻을 따라 생겨났고, 또 창조되었기 때문입니다” 하고 외쳤습니다.

REVELATION 4

Worship in Heaven

1 After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, “Come up here! I will show you what must happen next.” 2 t Right then the Spirit took control of me, and there in heaven I saw a throne and someone sitting on it.

3 The one who was sitting there sparkled like precious stones of jaspert and carnelian.t A rainbow that looked like an emeraldt surrounded the throne.
4 Twenty-four other thrones were in a circle around that throne. And on each of these thrones there was an elder dressed in white clothes and wearing a gold crown. 5 t Flashes of lightning and roars of thunder came out from the throne in the center of the circle. Seven torches, which are the seven spirits of God, were burning in front of the throne.

6 t t Also in front of the throne was something that looked like a glass sea, clear as crystal.
Around the throne in the center were four living creatures covered front and back with eyes. 7 The first creature was like a lion, the second one was like a bull, the third one had the face of a human, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.

8 t Each of the four living creatures had six wings, and their bodies were covered with eyes. Day and night they never stopped singing,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord,
the all-powerful God,
who was and is
and is coming!”
9 The living creatures kept praising, honoring, and thanking the one who sits on the throne and who lives forever and ever.

10 At the same time the 24 elders knelt down before the one sitting on the throne. And as they worshiped the one who lives forever, they placed their crowns in front of the throne and said,

11  t “Our Lord and God,
you are worthy
to receive glory,
honor, and power.
You created all things,
and by your decision they are
and were created.”
