Bosgarren turuta. Matxinsaltoen izurria

1 Jo zuen turuta bosgarren aingeruak, eta izar bat ikusi nuen zerutik lurrera eroria. Izarrari leize-zuloko giltzat eman zioten,t 2 eta leize-zuloa ireki zuen: kea atera zen bertatik, labe handi batetik bezala, eta keaz eguzkia eta airea ilundu egin ziren.t 3 Ke artetik matxinsaltoakt erori ziren lurrera, eta lurreko eskorpioiena bezalako ahalmena eman zitzaien.t 4 Lurreko belarra, barazkiak eta zuhaitzak ez hondatzeko agindua eman zitzaien, baizik eta zigiluaren marka bekokian ez zeramaten gizakiak bakarrik.t 5 Ez zitzaien hiltzeko baimenik eman, baina bai bost hilabetezt oinazetzekoa. Horiek emandako oinazea eskorpioien ziztadarena bezalakoa da.

6 Egun haietan gizakiak heriotzaren bila ibiliko dira, baina ez dute aurkituko; hil nahiko dute, baina heriotzak ihes egingo die.t
7 Gudurako prest dauden zaldien itxura zuten matxinsaltoek; buruan urrezkoak bezalako koroak zeramatzaten; aurpegiak giza itxurakoak zituzten,t 8 ile-adatsa emakumeena bezalakoa, eta hortzak lehoiarenak bezalakoak;t 9 burdinazkoak bezalako bularrekoak zituzten, eta hegal-hotsa gudura zalapartaka doazen zalgurdi askoren zarata bezalakoa zen;t 10 eskorpioiek bezalako isatsak zituzten, eztenez hornituak: eta isatsekin gizon-emakumeak bost hilabetez hondatzeko ahalmena zuten.

11 Matxinsaltoek leizeko aingerua zuten errege, hebreeraz Abadon eta grekoz Apolion deritzana (hau da, Suntsitzailea).

12 Iragan da lehen zoritxarra! Baina beste bi falta dira oraindik.

Seigarren turuta. Zaldi eta zaldizko hondatzaileak

14 Honela ziotsan turuta zeukan seigarren aingeruari: «Aska itzazu Eufrates ibait handiaren ondoan loturik dauden lau aingeruak».
15 Aske utzi zituzten lau aingeruak: prest zeuden hilabete, egun, ordu eta une hartan gizon-emakumeen herena hiltzeko. 16 Zaldizko gudariak berrehun milioi zirela entzun nuen. 17 Ikuskarian honelaxe ikusi nituen zaldiak eta zaldizkoak: haien bularrekoak, batzuk sua bezain gorriak ziren, beste batzuk hiazintoa bezain urdinak eta beste batzuk sufrea bezain horiak; zaldien buruak lehoienak bezalakoak ziren, eta ahoetatik sua, kea eta sufrea ateratzen zitzaizkien. 18 Gizakien herena hil zen hiru zigor hauengatik —ahotik zerien su, ke eta sufrearengatik, alegia—. 19 Zaldiek ahoan eta isatsetan zuten suntsitzeko ahalmena; isatsak suge-itxurakoak eta burudunak zituzten, eta haien bidez hondatzen zuten. 20 Halere, gainerako gizon-emakumeek, zigor hauek jo gabeek, ez zuten beren jokabidea aldatu: ez zioten utzi deabruei kultu emateari, ezta ikusteko, entzuteko eta ibiltzeko gauza ez diren urrezko, zilarrezko, brontzezko, harrizko eta zurezko idoloak gurtzeari ere;t 21 beren giza hilketez, sorginkeriez, lizunkeriez eta lapurretez ere ez ziren damutu.t

Revelation 9

1 Thent the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the skyt to the earth, and he was given the key to the shaft of the abyss.t2 Het opened the shaft of the abyss and smoke rose out of itt like smoke from a giant furnace. Thet sun and the air were darkened with smoke from the shaft.3 Thent out of the smoke came locusts onto the earth, and they were given powert like that of the scorpions of the earth.4 Theyt were toldt not to damage the grass of the earth, or any green plant or tree, but only those peoplet who did not have the seal of God on theirt forehead.5 The locustst were not given permissiont to killt them, but only to torturet themt for five months, and their torture was like thatt of a scorpion when it stings a person.t

6 Int those days peoplet will seek death, butt will not be able tot find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them.
7 Nowt the locusts looked like horses equipped for battle. Ont their heads were something like crowns similar to gold,t and their faces looked like men’st faces.8 Theyt had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.9 They had breastplatest like iron breastplates, and the sound of their wings was like the noise of many horse-drawn chariots charging into battle.10 They havet tails and stingers like scorpions, and their abilityt to injure people for five months is in their tails.

11 They have as king over them the angel of the abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.s

12 The first woe has passed, butt two woes are still coming after these things!
13 Thent the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a single voice coming from thes horns on the golden altar that is before God,14 saying to the sixth angel, the one holdingt the trumpet, “Set freet the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!”15 Thent the four angels who had been prepared for thist hour, day,t month, and year were set free to killt a third of humanity.16 Thet number of soldiers on horseback was two hundred million;t I heard their number.17 Nowt this is what the horses and their riderst looked like in myt vision: The riders had breastplates that were fiery red,t dark blue,t and sulfuroust yellow in color.s Thet heads of the horses looked like lions’ heads, and fire, smoke, and sulfurt came out of their mouths.18 A third of humanity was killed by these three plagues, that is,t by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur that came out of their mouths.19 For the powert of the horses residest in their mouths and in their tails, because their tails are like snakes, having heads that inflict injuries.20 The rest of humanity, who had not been killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so that they did not stop worshiping demons and idols madet of gold, silver,t bronze, stone, and wood – idols that cannot see or hear or walk about.

21 Furthermore,t they did not repent of their murders, of their magic spells,t of their sexual immorality, or of their stealing.
