1 愛する皆さん。　そういうわけですから、あなたがたにお願いします。　自分の体を神様にささげてください。　それを、神様に喜んでいただける、生きた、きよい供え物としてください。　神様がしてくださったことを思えば、これは、決してむりな注文ではないはずです。　2 世間の人々の生活態度や習慣をまねてはいけません。　むしろ、すること考えることすべての面で、生き生きとした、全く新しい別人となりなさい。　そうすれば、神の道がどんなに自分を満足させてくれるか、わかるようになります。
3 私は、神様の使者として、あなたがた一人一人に神様の警告を伝えます。　自分を正直に評価しなさい。　神様からどれだけの信仰を与えられているかを尺度にして、自分の値打をはかりなさい。　4-5 私たちの体に多くの器官があるのと同様、キリスト様の体にも、多くの器官があります。　私たちはみな、キリスト様の体の各器官です。キリスト様の体が完全になるには、私たちが必要です。　というのは、それぞれが異なった役目を果たすからです。　ですから、私たちは互いに依存し合っており、だれもが、ほかのすべての人を必要としているのです。
6 神様は一人一人に、何かすぐれた能力を授けてくださっています。　ですから、預言する能力を授かっているなら、できる時にはいつも――神様からのことばを受け取る信仰の力に応じて、できるだけ多くの機会に――預言しなさい。　7 ほかの人々に仕える能力を授かっているなら、快く仕えなさい。　教える立場にあるなら、りっぱに教えなさい。　8 説教をする人であれば、力強く、また、人の助けとなるように説教しなさい。　お金をたくさんいただいているなら、人助けのために、惜しみなく使いなさい。　管理者としての能力を与えられ、人々の仕事を監督する立場にあるなら、その責任を誠実に果たしなさい。　悲しんでいる者を慰める人は、クリスチャンとして、喜んでそうしなさい。
9 ただ見せかけだけで人を愛してはいけません。　真心から愛しなさい。　悪いことを憎み、良いことには味方しなさい。　10 兄弟のような愛情で互いに愛し合い、また、心から尊敬し合いなさい。　11 決して仕事を怠けず、熱心に主に仕えなさい。
12 あなたがたのために神様が計画しておられることすべてを喜びなさい。　困難の中でじっと耐え、常に祈りなさい。　13 クリスチャンが困っている時には、助けてあげなさい。　客を家に招いてもてなし、宿が必要なら泊めてあげるようにしなさい。
14 クリスチャンだからというので、だれかに危害を加えられても、のろってはいけません。　むしろ、神様がその人を祝福してくださるように祈ってあげなさい。　15 だれかがしあわせな思いで喜んでいる時には、いっしょに喜んであげなさい。　悲しんでいる人がいたら、いっしょに悲しんであげなさい。　16 互いに心を一つにし、楽しく働きなさい。　お高くとまってはいけません。　偉い人に取り入ろうとせず、かえって、平凡な普通の人々と喜んで交際しなさい。　何でも知っているなどと、思い上がってはいけません。
17 悪いことをされても、決して仕返しをしてはいけません。　だれが見ても、あなたがたの正直さを認めるように行動しなさい。　18 だれとも争ってはいけません。　できる限りあらゆる人と仲よくしなさい。
19 愛する皆さん。　決して自分で復讐してはいけません。　復讐は神様に任せなさい。　なぜなら、神様が、「当然報復を受けなければならない人には、わたしが報復する」と言っておられるからです。20 むしろ、あなたの敵が飢えていたら、食べさせてやりなさい。　のどが渇いていたら、飲ませてやりなさい。　そうすることによって、あなたは、「敵の頭上に燃えさかる炭火を積む」ことになります。つまり、彼は、あなたにしてきたことを思って、恥じ入るようになるのです。　21 悪に負けてはいけません。　かえって、善を行なうことによって悪に打ち勝ちなさい。

Romans 12

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office:5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and severally members one of another.6 And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;7 or ministry, let us give ourselves to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching;8 or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, let him do it with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.10 In love of the brethren be tenderly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another;11 in diligence not slothful; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;12 rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing stedfastly in prayer;13 communicating to the necessities of the saints; given to hospitality.14 Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.15 Rejoice with them that rejoice; weep with them that weep.16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.17 Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men.18 If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men.19 Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.20 But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
