Romanos 12

Así es la Nueva Vida

1 Por eso hermanos, puesto que Dios nos ha mostrado tanta misericordia, les ruego que entreguen todo su ser como sacrificio vivo a Dios. Esa ofrenda que es su vida debe estar dedicada solamente a Dios para poder agradarle. Esta clase de adoración es la que realmente tiene sentido.

2 No vivan según el modelo de este mundo. Mejor dejen que Dios cambie su vida con una nueva manera de pensar. Así podrán entender y aceptar lo que Dios quiere para ustedes y también lo que es bueno, perfecto y agradable a él.
3 Por el favor que Dios me ha mostrado, les pido que ninguno se crea mejor que los demás. Más bien, usen su buen juicio para formarse una opinión de sí mismos conforme a la porción de fe que Dios le ha dado a cada uno.4 Todos tenemos un cuerpo formado de muchas partes y cada una tiene una función distinta.

5 Así pasa con nosotros, somos muchos, pero todos formamos un solo cuerpo en nuestra relación con Cristo. Como parte de ese cuerpo, cada uno pertenece a los demás.
6 Pero Dios en su generoso amort le ha dado a cada uno dones diferentes. Si uno tiene el don de la profecía, que lo use de acuerdo con la fe que tiene.7 El que recibió el don de servir, que se dedique a servir. El que recibió el don de enseñar, que se dedique a enseñar.

8 El que recibió el don de animar a otros, que se dedique a animarlos. El que recibió el don de dar, hágalo con el sincero deseo de ayudar. El que recibió el don de dirigir, hágalo lo mejor posible. El que recibió el don de ser compasivo con otros, hágalo con alegría.
9 Su amor debe ser real y sincero. Detesten el mal y apéguense sólo al bien.10 Ténganse cariño unos a otros, como hermanos. Den preferencia a los demás y respétense unos a otros.11 No sean perezosos con los trabajos que deban hacer para el Señor, y hagan todo con entusiasmo.12 Alégrense en la esperanza, tengan paciencia en las dificultades y sean constantes en la oración.13 Cuiden a los necesitados que hay en el pueblo de Dios.t Busquen y reciban en su casa a los que necesitan ayuda.14 Pidan que Dios bendiga a los que los tratan mal; pidan bendiciones y no maldiciones para ellos.15 Alégrense con los que están alegres. Lloren con los que lloran.

16 Vivan en paz y armonía unos con otros. No sean orgullosos, sino amigos de los que la gente desprecia. No se crean mejores ni más sabios que los demás.
17 No devuelvan mal por mal. Preocúpense por ganar el respeto de todos haciendo el bien.18 Traten de hacer lo posible para vivir en paz con los demás.19 Queridos amigos, no traten de vengarse de alguien, sino esperen a que Dios lo castigue, porque así está escrito: «Yo soy el que castiga, les daré el pago que merecen»t, dice el Señor.20 Y también:
«Si tu enemigo tiene hambre, dale comida.
Si tiene sed, dale algo de beber.
De esa manera le harás sentir vergüenza»t.t

21 No te dejes vencer por el mal, sino derrota el mal con el bien.

Romans 12

Dedicated Service

1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

3 For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.4 For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function,5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.6 Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;7 if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching;8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with tliberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

9  Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.10  Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute tyou; bless and do not curse.15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.20 "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD."21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
