Римляни 15

1 Мусимо ми, сильні, немочі безсильних носити, а не собі догоджати.2 Кожен бо з нас ближньому нехай догоджає, на добре, до збудування.3 Бо і Христос не собі годив, а яко ж писано: Зневага зневажаючих Тебе упала на мене.4 Скільки бо перше написано, нам на науку написано, щоб через терпіннє та утїшеннє (з) писання мали надїю.5 Бог же терпіння та утїшення нехай дасть вам однаково думати між собою по Христу Ісусові,6 щоб однодушно, одними устами славили Бога й Отця Господа нашого Ісуса Христа.7 Тим же приймайте один одного, яко ж і Христос прийняв вас у славу Божу.8 Глаголю ж, що Ісус Христос став ся слугою обрізання ради істини Божої, щоб ствердити обітовання отцїв,9 а для поган - з милостї, щоб прославляли Бога, яко ж писано: За се визнавати му Тебе між поганами й імени Твоєму співати му.10 І знов глаголе: Звеселїть ся, погане, з людьми Його.11 І знов: Хвалїть Господа, всї погане, і вихваляйте Його всї люде.12 І знов Ісаїя глаголе: Буде корінь Єссеїв, Той, що встане, владикувати над поганами; на Него погане вповати муть.13 Бог же вповання нехай сповнить вас усякими радощами й упокоєм у вірі, щоб ви збагатились упованнєм, силою Духа сьвятого.14 Впевнив ся ж і я сам про вас, браттє моє, що й самі ви повні добрости, повні всякого знання, і зможете один одного навчати.15 Сьмілїще ж написав я вам, браттє моє, трохи, яко нагадуючи вам по благодатї, даній менї від Бога,16 щоб бути менї служителем Ісус-Христовим між поганами, сьвято проповідуючи благовістє Боже, щоб приношеннє від поган було приятне і осьвящене Духом сьвятим.17 Маю оце похвалу через Христа Ісуса в Божих речах.18 Не сьмію бо глаголати про таке, чого не вдїяв Христос через мене на послух поган, словом і дїлом,19 силою ознак і чудес, силою Духа Божого; так що я від Єрусалиму і кругом аж до Ілирика сповнив благовістє Христове.20 Так силкувавсь я благовістити, не де іменував ся Христос, щоб на чужій основинї не будувати,21 а яко ж писано: Кому не звіщено про Него, побачать, і котрі не чули, зрозуміють.22 Тим же й був я з'упинений не раз, прийти до вас.23 Тепер же, більш не маючи місця в сих країнах, бажаннє ж маючи прийти до вас од многих лїт,24 як пійду в Іспанию, прийду до вас; сподїваюсь бо, проходючи, бачити вас, і що ви мене проведете туди, як перш вами трохи навтїшаюсь.25 Тепер же йду в Єрусалим, служити сьвятим.26 Зволили бо Македонцї та Ахайцї удїлити дещо вбогим сьвятим, що в Єрусалимі.27 Зволили, та й винні їм. Коли бо в духовному їх спільниками стали погане, то повинні в тїлесному послужити й їм.28 Се ж скінчивши й запечатавши (оддавши) їм овощ сей, пійду через вас в Іспанию.29 Знаю ж, що прийшовши до вас, в повнї благословення благовістя Христового прийду.30 Благаю ж вас, браттє, Господом нашим Ісусом Христом і любовю Духа, помагайте менї молитвами за мене до Бога,31 щоб збавитись менї від непокірних в Юдеї, і щоб служба моя в Єрусалимі приятна була сьвятим,32 щоб з радістю прийшов до вас волею Божою, та й покрепив ся з вами.33 Бог же впокою з усїма вами. Амінь.

ROMANS 15

Please Others and Not Yourself

1 If our faith is strong, we should be patient with the Lord's followers whose faith is weak. We should try to please them instead of ourselves. 2 We should think of their good and try to help them by doing what pleases them. 3 t Even Christ did not try to please himself. But as the Scriptures say, “The people who insulted you also insulted me.” 4 t And the Scriptures were written to teach and encourage us by giving us hope. 5 God is the one who makes us patient and cheerful. I pray that he will help you live at peace with each other, as you follow Christ.

6 Then all of you together will praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Good News Is for Jews //and Gentiles

9 t so that the Gentiles would praise God for being kind to them. It is just as the Scriptures say,
“I will tell the nations
about you,
and I will sing praises
to your name.”

10  t The Scriptures also say to the Gentiles, “Come and celebrate with God's people.”

11  t Again the Scriptures say,
“Praise the Lord,
all you Gentiles.
All you nations, come
and worship him.”

12  t Isaiah says,
“Someone from David's family
will come to power.
He will rule the nations,
and they will put their hope
in him.”

13 I pray that God, who gives hope, will bless you with complete happiness and peace because of your faith. And may the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.

Paul's Work as a Missionary

16 He chose me to be a servant of Christ Jesus for the Gentiles and to do the work of a priest in the service of his good news. God did this so that the Holy Spirit could make the Gentiles into a holy offering, pleasing to him.
17 Because of Christ Jesus, I can take pride in my service for God. 18 In fact, all I will talk about is how Christ let me speak and work, so that the Gentiles would obey him. 19 Indeed, I will tell how Christ worked miracles and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit. I have preached the good news about him all the way from Jerusalem to Illyricum. 20 But I have always tried to preach where people have never heard about Christ. I am like a builder who doesn't build on someone else's foundation.

21 t It is just as the Scriptures say,
“All who haven't been told
about him
will see him,
and those who haven't heard
about him
will understand.”

Paul's Plan To Visit Rome

24 So I plan to stop off on my way to Spain. Then after a short, but refreshing, visit with you, I hope you will quickly send me on.
25-26  t I am now on my way to Jerusalem to deliver the money that the Lord's followers in Macedonia and Achaia collected for God's needy people. 27 t This is something they really wanted to do. But sharing their money with the Jews was also like paying back a debt, because the Jews had already shared their spiritual blessings with the Gentiles. 28 After I have safely delivered this money, I will visit you and then go on to Spain.

29 And when I do arrive in Rome, I know it will be with the full blessings of Christ.
30 My friends, by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the love that comes from the Holy Spirit, I beg you to pray sincerely with me and for me. 31 Pray that God will protect me from the unbelievers in Judea, and that his people in Jerusalem will be pleased with what I am doing. 32 Ask God to let me come to you and have a pleasant and refreshing visit. 33 I pray that God, who gives peace, will be with all of you. Amen.
