Romanos 15

1 Nosotros que no tenemos esas dudas, debemos soportar pacientemente las deficiencias de los que tienen dudas, y no buscar agradarnos a nosotros mismos.2 En lugar de eso, debemos pensar en lo que es bueno para ellos y tratar de agradarlos. Así los ayudaremos a fortalecer su fe.3 Cristo mismo tampoco buscó agradarse a sí mismo. Así dicen las Escriturast: «La gente que te insulta también me está insultando a mí».t4 Todo lo que se escribió en el pasado fue para dejarnos una enseñanza y para que tengamos esperanza. La esperanza viene por la paciencia y el ánimo que nos dan las Escrituras.5 La paciencia y el ánimo vienen de Dios. Le pido a él que les conceda vivir en armonía unos con otros como quiere Jesucristo.

6 Así, todos a una voz podrán unirse en alabanza al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
7 Acéptense unos a otros así como Cristo los ha aceptado. Acéptense para honrar a Dios.8 Puedo decirles que Cristo se convirtió en siervo de los judíos para demostrar que lo que Dios dice es verdad. Cristo lo hizo para confirmar la promesa de Dios a los antepasados de los judíos.

9 Además, Cristo hizo esto para que los que no son judíos le den honra a Dios por su compasión. Como está escrito:
«Por eso te alabaré entre las naciones
y cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre».t

10 También dice:
«Alégrense todas las naciones,
junto con el pueblo de Dios».t

11 Y también dice:
«¡Alaben al Señor todas las naciones,
que todo el mundo alabe al Señor!»t

12 También dice Isaíast:«Vendrá un descendiente de Isaítpara gobernar a todas las naciones.Todas las naciones pondránsu esperanza en él».t

13 Que Dios, quien da esperanza, los llene de toda alegría y paz a ustedes que tienen fe en él. Así tendrán tanta esperanza que llegará a otros por el poder del Espíritu Santo.

Pablo habla de su trabajo

14 Hermanos, estoy seguro de que ustedes están llenos de buena voluntad y tienen todo el conocimiento necesario para poder aconsejarse unos a otros.15 Les escribí francamente muchas cosas que quiero que no olviden porque Dios ha sido muy bueno al darme este don:

16 Mi cargo es servir a Jesucristo. Anuncio la buena noticiat como si fuera un sacerdote. Estoy preparando a los que no son judíos como una ofrenda que Dios puede aceptar, apartada para él por el Espíritu Santo.
17 Por eso, como creyente en Jesucristo, me siento muy orgulloso del trabajo que hago para Dios.18 No voy a contarles lo que he hecho, sino lo que Cristo ha logrado conmigo para guiar a los que no son judíos hacia la obediencia a Dios. Ellos han obedecido gracias a lo que les he dicho y a lo que he hecho.19 Han obedecido gracias al poder de los milagros y de las maravillas que han visto, y gracias al poder del Espíritu de Dios. Así que he terminado de anunciar las buenas noticias de Dios desde Jerusalén hasta la región de Iliriat.20 Siempre he querido anunciar la buena noticia en todos los lugares donde no se conoce a Cristo. Hago esto para no construir sobre el trabajo que alguien ya ha comenzado,21 como está escrito:
«Verán los que nunca habían sabido de él.
Entenderán los que nunca habían oído de él».t

Pablo planea visitar Roma

22 Por eso no me ha sido posible ir a visitarlos.23 Sin embargo, ahora que ya he terminado mi trabajo en esta región, y puesto que desde hace años he querido visitarlos,24 espero estar con ustedes y disfrutar de su compañía cuando vaya a España. Después espero que ustedes me ayuden para continuar mi viaje.25 Ahora voy a Jerusalén para ayudar al pueblo de Diost allí,26 porque las iglesiast de Macedoniat y Acayat decidieron hacer una colecta. Quieren ayudar al pueblo de Dios que es pobre y vive en Jerusalén.27 Querían hacerlo y de hecho es su obligación, porque ellos no son judíos pero ahora están compartiendo las bendiciones espirituales de los judíos. A cambio, deben compartir con ellos los bienes materiales que tienen.28 Cuando termine este trabajo y confirme que la colecta se distribuyó entre los que la necesitan, saldré para España. De camino a España pasaré a visitarlos a ustedes.

29 Yo sé que cuando los visite podré llevarles todas las bendiciones de Cristo.
30 Hermanos, les ruego por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu Santo que me ayuden a luchar pidiéndole a Dios por mí.31 También pídanle que me libre de los incrédulos de Judea, y que mi servicio en Jerusalén sea agradable al pueblo de Dios.32 Así, si es la voluntad de Dios, con alegría iré a visitarlos y juntos podremos tomar un descanso.

33 Que Dios, quien es la fuente de paz, esté siempre con ustedes. Así sea.t

Romans 15

Self-denial on Behalf of Others

1 Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.3 For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "THE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU FELL ON ME."4 For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.5 Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.8 For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers,9 and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written,
"THEREFORE I WILL GIVE PRAISE TO YOU AMONG THE GENTILES,
AND I WILL SING TO YOUR NAME."10 Again he says,
"REJOICE, O GENTILES, WITH HIS PEOPLE."11 And again,
"PRAISE THE LORD ALL YOU GENTILES,
AND LET ALL THE PEOPLES PRAISE HIM."12 Again Isaiah says,
"THERE SHALL COME THE ROOT OF JESSE,
AND HE WHO ARISES TO RULE OVER THE GENTILES,
IN HIM SHALL THE GENTILES HOPE."13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

14 And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another.15 But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God,16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.18 For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.20 And thus I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another man's foundation;21 but as it is written,
"THEY WHO HAD NO NEWS OF HIM SHALL SEE,
AND THEY WHO HAVE NOT HEARD SHALL UNDERSTAND."

22 For this reason I have often been prevented from coming to you;23 but now, with no further place for me in these regions, and since I have had for many years a longing to come to you24 whenever I go to Spain-for I hope to see you in passing, and to be helped on my way there by you, when I have first enjoyed your company for a while-25 but now, I am going to Jerusalem serving the saints.26 For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.27 Yes, they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things.28 Therefore, when I have finished this, and have put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will go on by way of you to Spain.29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

30 Now I urge you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,31 that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;32 so that I may come to you in joy by the will of God and find refreshing rest in your company.33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
