Romani 16

1 Vi raccomando Febe, nostra sorella, che è diaconessa della chiesa di Cencrea,2 perché la riceviate nel Signore, in modo degno dei santi, e le prestiate assistenza, in qualunque cosa ella possa aver bisogno di voi; poiché ella pure ha prestato assistenza a molti e anche a me stesso.3 Salutate Prisca ed Aquila, miei compagni d’opera in Cristo Gesù,4 i quali per la vita mia hanno esposto il loro proprio collo; ai quali non io solo ma anche tutte le chiese dei Gentili rendono grazie.5 Salutate anche la chiesa che è in casa loro. Salutate il mio caro Epeneto, che è la primizia dell’Asia per Cristo.6 Salutate Maria, che si è molto affaticata per voi.7 Salutate Andronico e Giunio, miei parenti e compagni di prigione, i quali sono segnalati fra gli apostoli, e anche sono stati in Cristo prima di me.8 Salutate Ampliato, il mio diletto nel Signore.9 Salutate Urbano, nostro compagno d’opera in Cristo, e il mio caro Stachi.10 Salutate Apelle, che ha fatto le sue prove in Cristo. Salutate que’ di casa di Aristobulo.11 Salutate Erodione, mio parente. Salutate que’ di casa di Narcisso che sono nel Signore.12 Salutate Trifena e Trifosa, che si affaticano nel Signore. Salutate la cara Perside che si è molto affaticata nel Signore.13 Salutate Rufo, l’eletto nel Signore, e sua madre, che è pur mia.14 Salutate Asincrito, Flegonte, Erme, Patroba, Erma, e i fratelli che son con loro.15 Salutate Filologo e Giulia, Nereo e sua sorella, e Olimpia, e tutti i santi che son con loro.16 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio. Tutte le chiese di Cristo vi salutano.

17 Or io v’esorto, fratelli, tenete d’occhio quelli che fomentano le dissensioni e gli scandali contro l’insegnamento che avete ricevuto, e ritiratevi da loro.18 Poiché quei tali non servono al nostro Signor Gesù Cristo, ma al proprio ventre; e con dolce e lusinghiero parlare seducono il cuore de’ semplici.19 Quanto a voi, la vostra ubbidienza è giunta a conoscenza di tutti. Io dunque mi rallegro per voi, ma desidero che siate savi nel bene e semplici per quel che concerne il male.20 E l’Iddio della pace triterà tosto Satana sotto ai vostri piedi. La grazia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo sia con voi.

21 Timoteo, mio compagno d’opera, vi saluta, e vi salutano pure Lucio, Giasone e Sosipatro, miei parenti.22 Io, Terzio, che ho scritto l’epistola, vi saluto nel Signore.23 Gaio, che ospita me e tutta la chiesa, vi saluta. Erasto, il tesoriere della città, e il fratello Quarto vi salutano.24 La grazia del nostro Signor Gesù Cristo sia con tutti voi. Amen.

25 Or a Colui che vi può fortificare secondo il mio Evangelo e la predicazione di Gesù Cristo, conformemente alla rivelazione del mistero che fu tenuto occulto fin dai tempi più remoti26 ma è ora manifestato, e, mediante le Scritture profetiche, secondo l’ordine dell’eterno Iddio, è fatto conoscere a tutte le nazioni per addurle all’ubbidienza della fede,27 a Dio solo savio, per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, sia la gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.

1 Now I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servantt of the church in Cenchrea,

2 so that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and provide her with whatever help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many, including me.
3 Greet Prisca and Aquila,s my fellow workers in Christ Jesus,4 who risked their own necks for my life. Not only I, but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.5 Also greet the church in their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus,s who was the first convertt to Christ in the province of Asia.t6 Greet Mary, who has worked very hard for you.7 Greet Andronicus and Junia,ts my compatriotst and my fellow prisoners. They are well knownt to the apostles,t and they were in Christ before me.8 Greet Ampliatus, my dear friend in the Lord.9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my good friend Stachys.10 Greet Apelles, who is approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus.11 Greet Herodion, my compatriot.t Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.12 Greet Tryphenas and Tryphosa, laborers in the Lord. Greet my dear friendt Persis, who has worked hard in the Lord.13 Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother who was also a mother to me.t14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brothers and sisterst with them.15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the believerst who are with them.

16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.
17 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters,t to watch out for those who create dissensions and obstacles contrary to the teaching that you learned. Avoid them!18 For these are the kind who do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By their smooth talk and flattery they deceive the mindst of the naive.19 Your obedience is known to all and thus I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.

20 The God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
21 Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my compatriots.t22 I, Tertius, who am writing this letter, greet you in the Lord.

23 Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus the city treasurer and our brother Quartus greet you.sss
25 s Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages,26 but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith –

27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be glory forever! Amen.
