الرسالة إلى المؤمنين في روما 3

1 إذن هل كان لليهود امتياز على غيرهم؟ وهل كان لعهد الختان فائدة؟2 نعم، امتيازات وفوائد كثيرة، أهمها أن الله استأمنهم على كلامه.3 لكن ماذا لو كان بعضهم غير أمين؟ هل هذا يلغي وفاء الله؟4 طبعا لا. صدق الله ولو كذب كل الناس. فالكتاب يقول: "اللهم، أنت صادق في كلامك، ومتى حكمت تغلب."5 فإن كان شرنا يبين أن الله بار، فهل يصح أن نقول إن الله غير عادل لأنه يعاقبنا؟ هذا سؤال بحسب تفكير الناس،6 والجواب هو: طبعا لا. لأنه إن كان الله غير عادل فكيف يمكن أن يكون هو ديان العالم؟.7 ربما تقول: "إن كان بسبب كذبي يظهر صدق الله بوضوح، ويعود هذا عليه بالجلال، فلماذا يعاقبني كمذنب؟" أو:8 "لماذا لا نعمل الشر لكي يأتي منه الخير؟" بعض الناس يفترون علي ويزعمون أني أقول هذا الكلام. هؤلاء سيحل عليهم العقاب العادل.9 إذن، فهل نحن اليهود أحسن حالا من غيرنا؟ لا، أبدا. فإني قد أوضحت أن اليهود وغير اليهود على السواء هم عبيد للخطيئة.10 كما يقول الكتاب: "لا يوجد أحد صالح أبدا،11 ولا واحد يفهم، ولا واحد يطلب الله،12 كلهم ضلوا، كلهم فسدوا، ولا واحد يعمل الصلاح، ولا حتى واحد.13 حناجرهم قبور مفتوحة، ألسنتهم خادعة، شفاههم تحتها سم الثعابين،14 أفواههم مملوءة باللعن والكلام المر،15 أرجلهم تسرع إلى سفك الدم،16 ينشرون الخراب والشقاء في الطرق التي يسيرون فيها،17 أما طريق السلام فلا يعرفونه،18 ولا يخطر على بالهم أن يتقوا الله."19 ونحن نعرف أن كل ما هو مكتوب في الشريعة يسري على الذين عندهم الشريعة. وبذلك لا يكون لأحد عذر، بل يكون كل العالم واقعا تحت قصاص الله.20 لأن فرائض الشريعة لا تجعل أي واحد من بني آدم صالحا عند الله، بل تعرفنا ما هي الخطيئة.21 ولكن الآن أظهر الله كيف يعتبرنا صالحين عنده بدون الشريعة، كما قالت توراة موسى وصحف الأنبياء.22 إن الله يعتبرنا صالحين عنده بواسطة الإيمان بعيسـى المسيح. وهذا ممكن لجميع الذين يؤمنون، الجميع بلا فرق.23 لأن الجميع أخطأوا ولم يبلغوا إلى ما يمجد الله.24 لكن الله يعتبرهم صالحين مجانا بفضل منه ، بواسطة الفداء الذي بالمسيح عيسـى.25 فإن الله قدمه ضحية ليكفر عن ذنوبنا بدمه، إذا آمنا به. وهذا يبين أن الله بار، لأنه كان قد صبر في الماضي على ذنوب الناس ولم يعاقبهم عليها.26 كما أن هذا يبين أيضا في الوقت الحاضر أن الله بار، لأنه يعتبر كل من يؤمن بعيسـى صالحا ، وهذا دليل فعلا على أن الله بار.27 فهل يصح أن نتباهى بشيء؟ لا! لا يوجد مكان للتباهي! لماذا؟ هل لأن الأعمال هي المهمة؟ لا، بل لأن الإيمان هو المهم!28 فإن النتيجة التي توصلنا إليها هي أن الله يعتبر الشخص صالحا لإيمانه لا لأنه يعمل بفرائض الشريعة.29 وإلا يكون الله هو إله اليهود وحدهم. أليس هو إله كل الشعوب أيضا؟ بالتأكيد، هو إله كل الشعوب.30 لأن الله واحد، وهو يعتبر اليهود صالحين بواسطة الإيمان، وكذلك غير اليهود بواسطة نفس هذا الإيمان.31 فهل هذا يعني أننا نلغي الشريعة بالإيمان؟ لا سمح الله! بل إننا نساند الشريعة.

ROMANS 3

1 What good is it to be a Jew? What good is it to be circumcised? 2 It is good in a lot of ways! First of all, God's messages were spoken to the Jews. 3 It is true that some of them did not believe the message. But does this mean that God cannot be trusted, just because they did not have faith?

4 t No, indeed! God tells the truth, even if everyone else is a liar. The Scriptures say about God,
“Your words
will be proven true,
and in court
you will win your case.”
5 If our evil deeds show how right God is, then what can we say? Is it wrong for God to become angry and punish us? What a foolish thing to ask. 6 But the answer is, “No.” Otherwise, how could God judge the world? 7 Since your lies bring great honor to God by showing how truthful he is, you may ask why God still says you are a sinner.

8 You might as well say, “Let's do something evil, so that something good will come of it!” Some people even claim that we are saying this. But God is fair and will judge them as well.

No One Is Good

10 t The Scriptures tell us,
“No one is acceptable to God!

11 Not one of them understands
or even searches for God.

12 They have all turned away
and are worthless.
There isn't one person
who does right.

13  t Their words are like
an open pit,
and their tongues are good
only for telling lies.
Each word is as deadly
as the fangs of a snake,

14  t and they say nothing
but bitter curses.

15  t These people quickly
become violent.

16 Wherever they go,
they leave ruin
and destruction.

17 They don't know how
to live in peace.

18  t They don't even fear God.”
19 We know that everything in the Law was written for those who are under its power. The Law says these things to stop anyone from making excuses and to let God show that the whole world is guilty.

20 t God doesn't accept people simply because they obey the Law. No, indeed! All the Law does is to point out our sin.

God's Way //of Accepting People

25-26 t God sent Christ to be our sacrifice. Christ offered his life's blood, so by faith in him we could come to God. And God did this to show that in the past he was right to be patient and forgive sinners. This also shows that God is right when he accepts people who have faith in Jesus.
27 What is left for us to brag about? Not a thing! Is it because we obeyed some law? No! It is because of faith. 28 We see that people are acceptable to God because they have faith, and not because they obey the Law. 29 Does God belong only to the Jews? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, he is! 30 t There is only one God, and he accepts Gentiles as well as Jews, simply because of their faith. 31 Do we destroy the Law by our faith? Not at all! We make it even more powerful.
