God is baie goed vir die mense wat Hy vrygespreek het
1 God het ons tvrygespreek omdat ons in Christus glo. Nou is daar vrede tussen ons en God, want ons Here Jesus Christus het vrede gemaak tussen ons en God. 2 En Christus help vir ons wat glo, sodat ons elke dag kan weet dat God baie goed is vir ons. En ons is trots, want ons hoop en weet dat ons eendag by God, ons Koning, sal wees. 3 Ons is ook trots wanneer ons swaarkry, want ons weet dat wanneer ons swaarkry, dan leer ons om geduldig te wees. 4 En wanneer ons geduldig is, dan wys dit dat ons is soos God wil hê, en wanneer ons is soos God wil hê, dan hoop en weet ons dat God ons sal red.
5 Ons weet ons sal kry wat ons hoop, want God het die Heilige Gees vir ons gegee, en die Heilige Gees maak ons harte vol met God se liefde.
6 Christus het gesterf toe ons nog swak was. Ja, Hy het op die regte tyd gesterf om die sondaars te red. 7 Niemand sal lus wees om te sterf om ’n ander mens te red nie, ook nie as daardie ander mens reg lewe nie. Ja, miskien sal daar iemand wees wat dapper is en lus is om te sterf om ’n goeie mens te red. 8 Maar Christus het gesterf om ons te red toe ons sondaars was. Daarom weet ons dat God baie lief is vir ons. 9 Christus het gesterf, en daarom het God ons vrygespreek. En daarom kan ons baie meer seker wees dat Christus ons ook sal red sodat God ons nie sal straf nie. 10 Ons was voorheen God se vyande, maar God se Seun het gesterf sodat alles reg kan wees tussen ons en God. God het vir Christus weer laat lewe. Nou is alles reg tussen God en ons, daarom kan ons baie meer seker wees dat Christus ons sal red.
11 Ons weet dat Christus ons sal red en ons is ook baie trots, want ons Here Jesus Christus het gesterf sodat alles reg kan wees tussen God en ons en sodat ons aan God kan behoort.Christus en Adam
12 Daarom, een mens, Adam, het eerste sonde gedoen, en hy moes sterf. Van toe af doen al die mense sonde, en hulle moet almal sterf. 13 Die mense het sonde gedoen voordat God vir hulle sy wette gegee het, maar hulle was nie tskuldig nie, want hulle het nog nie die wette gehad nie.
14 Hulle was nie skuldig nie, maar hulle het gesterf, van die tyd toe Adam gelewe het tot die tyd toe Moses die wette van God vir die Israeliete gegee het. Die dood het oor al die mense regeer. Die mense wat nie dieselfde sondes gedoen het wat Adam gedoen het nie, het ook gesterf. Ja, Adam het sonde gedoen en gesterf, en dit het gewys wat Christus moes kom doen, Christus, die Een wat later gekom het.
15 God se tgenade is anders as die sonde en dit is sterker as die sonde. Een mens, Adam, het sonde gedoen, en daarom het baie mense gesterf. Maar God se genade is baie beter. Ja, God is baie goed, Hy het Een Mens, Jesus Christus, gegee, en dit is hoe God tgenadig was vir baie meer mense. 16 God se genade is nie soos Adam se sonde nie. Een mens, Adam, het sonde gedoen, en God het gesê Adam het verkeerd gedoen, daarom sal God hom straf. Maar God se genade is anders. Die mense het baie sondes gedoen, maar toe het God se genade gekom, God was goed vir die mense en Hy het hulle tvrygespreek.
17 Een mens, Adam, het sonde gedoen, en van toe af het die mense gesterf. Die dood het oor hulle regeer. Maar God se genade is baie beter, Hy is baie goed vir mense en Hy spreek hulle vry. Hulle sal vir altyd lewe en regeer, want Een Mens, Jesus Christus, het hulle gered.
18 Een mens, Adam, het sonde gedoen, en daarom moes God al die mense straf. Maar dit was ook Een Mens, Christus, wat gedoen het wat God wil hê, en daarom spreek God al die mense vry en laat Hy hulle lewe.
19 Een mens, Adam, was ongehoorsaam, en toe het baie mense sondaars geword. Maar dit was ook Een Mens, Christus, wat gehoorsaam was, en daarom sal God baie mense vryspreek.
20 Die wette het gekom sodat die sondes meer kan word. Maar toe die sondes meer geword het, het God se genade ook baie meer geword. 21 Die sonde het oor die mense regeer, dit het hulle laat sterf. Maar nou regeer God se genade oor ons. Jesus Christus ons Here red ons, en daarom spreek God ons vry en gee Hy vir ons die tewige lewe.
Romans 5
Right with God
1 Now that we have been put right with God through faith, we havet peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 He has brought us by faith into this experience of God's grace, in which we now live. And so we boastt of the hope we have of sharing God's glory! 3 We also boastt of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, 4 endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope.
5 This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God's gift to us.
6 For when we were still helpless, Christ died for the wicked at the time that God chose. 7 It is a difficult thing for someone to die for a righteous person. It may even be that someone might dare to die for a good person. 8 But God has shown us how much he loves us — it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us! 9 By his bloodt we are now put right with God; how much more, then, will we be saved by him from God's anger! 10 We were God's enemies, but he made us his friends through the death of his Son. Now that we are God's friends, how much more will we be saved by Christ's life!
11 But that is not all; we rejoice because of what God has done through our Lord Jesus Christ, who has now made us God's friends.Adam and Christ
12 Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned.t 13 There was sin in the world before the Law was given; but where there is no law, no account is kept of sins.
14 But from the time of Adam to the time of Moses death ruled over the whole human race, even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam did when he disobeyed God's command.
Adam was a figure of the one who was to come. 15 But the two are not the same, because God's free gift is not like Adam's sin. It is true that many people died because of the sin of that one man. But God's grace is much greater, and so is his free gift to so many people through the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ. 16 And there is a difference between God's gift and the sin of one man. After the one sin, came the judgement of “Guilty”; but after so many sins, comes the undeserved gift of “Not guilty!”
17 It is true that through the sin of one man death began to rule because of that one man. But how much greater is the result of what was done by the one man, Jesus Christ! All who receive God's abundant grace and are freely put right with him will rule in life through Christ.
18 So then, as the one sin condemned all people, in the same way the one righteous act sets all people free and gives them life.
19 And just as the mass of people were made sinners as the result of the disobedience of one man, in the same way the mass of people will all be put right with God as the result of the obedience of the one man.
20 Law was introduced in order to increase wrongdoing; but where sin increased, God's grace increased much more. 21 So then, just as sin ruled by means of death, so also God's grace rules by means of righteousness, leading us to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
