5. La esperanza de la salvación (5)

Justos por medio de la fe

1 Así pues, ya hechos justost gracias a la fe, tenemos pazt con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. 2 Por Cristo gozamos del favor de Dios por medio de la fe, y estamos firmes y nos gloriamost de la esperanza de tener parte en la gloria de Dios.t 3 Y no solo esto, sino que incluso nos gloriamos de los sufrimientos, porque sabemos que el sufrimiento da firmeza para soportar,t 4 y esa firmeza nos permite ser aprobados por Dios, y el ser aprobados por Dios nos llena de esperanza.

5 Una esperanza que no defrauda, porque Dios ha llenado con su amor nuestro corazónt por medio del Espíritu Santo que nos ha dado.
6 Como nosotros éramos incapaces de salvarnos, Cristo, en el momento oportuno, murió por los malos.t 7 No es fácil que una persona se deje matar en lugar de otra. Ni siquiera en lugar de una persona justa, aunque quizás alguno estaría dispuesto a morir por una persona verdaderamente buena.t 8 Pero Dios prueba que nos ama en que, cuando aún éramos pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.t 9 Y ahora, siendo así que Dios nos ha hecho justos mediante la muerte de Cristo,t con mayor razón seremos librados del castigo final por medio de él.t 10 Porque si Dios, cuando aún éramos enemigos suyos,t nos reconcilió consigo mismo mediante la muerte de su Hijo, con mayor razón nos salvará por su vidat ahora que ya estamos reconciliados con él.t

11 Y no solo esto, sino que también nos gloriamos de Dios mediante nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por quien hemos recibido ahora la reconciliación.

Adán y Jesucristo

14 Sin embargo, desde el tiempo de Adán al de Moisés reinó la muerte sobre los que pecaron, por más que el pecado de ellos no consistió en desobedecer un mandato,t como en el caso de Adán, quien fue figura de aquel que había de venir.t
15 Pero el delito de Adán no puede compararse con el don que hemos recibido de Dios. Pues por el delito de un solo hombre murieron todos; pero el don que hemos recibido gratuitamente de Dios por medio de un solo hombre, Jesucristo, es mucho mayor y para el bien de todos.t 16 El pecado de un solo hombre no puede compararse con el don de Dios; pues a causa de aquel solo pecadot vino la condenación, pero a causa de muchos pecados vino el don de Dios, que hace justos a los hombres.

17 Porque si la muerte reinó como resultado del delito de un solo hombre, con mayor razón aquellos a quienes Dios, en su gran bondad y gratuitamente, hace justos, reinarán en la nueva vida por medio de un solo hombre: Jesucristo.
18 Y así como el delito de Adán puso bajo condenación a todos los hombres, así también el acto justo de Jesucristo hace justos a todos los hombres para que tengan vida.t

19 Es decir, que por la desobediencia de un solo hombre, todos fueron hechos pecadores; y, al contrario, por la obediencia de un solo hombre, todos serán hechos justos.t
20 La ley se añadiót para que aumentase el pecado;t pero cuanto más aumentó el pecado, tanto más abundó la bondad de Dios.

21 Y así como el pecado reinó para traer muerte, así también la bondad de Dios reinó haciéndonos justos y dándonos vida eterna mediante nuestro Señor Jesucristo.t

Romans 5

The Expectation of Justification

1 s Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we haves peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,2 through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoicet in the hope of God’s glory.3 Nott only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,4 and endurance, character, and character, hope.

5 And hope does not disappoint, because the love of Godt has been poured outs in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.7 (For rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person perhaps someone might possibly dare to die.)s8 But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.9 Much more then, because we have now been declared righteoust by his blood,t we will be saved through him from God’s wrath.t10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?

11 Nott only this, but we also rejoicet in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

The Amplification of Justification

12 So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all peoplet becauset all sinned –13 for before the law was given,t sin was in the world, but there is no accounting for sint when there is no law.14 Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a typet of the coming one) transgressed.t15 But the gracious gift is not like the transgression.t For if the many died through the transgression of the one man,s how much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ multiply to the many!16 And the gift is not like the one who sinned.t For judgment, resulting from the one transgression,t led to condemnation, butt the gracious gift from the many failurest led to justification.

17 For if, by the transgression of the one man,s death reigned through the one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ!
18 Consequently,t just as condemnationt for all peoplet camet through one transgression,s so too through the one righteous acts came righteousness leading to lifet for all people.19 For just as through the disobedience of the one mans manyt were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one mans manyt will be made righteous.20 Now the law came int so that the transgressiont may increase, but where sin increased, grace multiplied all the more,

21 so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
