로마서 5

1 그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다는 인정을 받아 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통해 하나님과 화목하게 되었습니다.

2 그리고 우리는 그분을 통해 오늘날 우리가 누리고 있는 이런 은혜를 믿음으로 경험하게 되었습니다. 그래서 우리는 하나님의 영광에 참여할 희망 가운데서 기뻐하고 있습니다.

3 이것뿐만 아니라 우리가 고난 중에서도 기뻐하는 것은 고난은 인내를,

4 인내는 연단된 인격을, 연단된 인격은 희망을 갖게 한다는 것을 알기 때문입니다.

5 이 희망은 우리에게 실망을 주지 않습니다. 그것은 하나님이 우리에게 주신 성령으로 우리 마음에 그분의 사랑을 부어 주셨기 때문입니다.

6 우리가 아직 무력한 상태에 있을 때에 그리스도께서 우리 죄인들을 위해 죽으셨습니다.

7 혹시 선한 사람을 위해 죽겠다고 나서는 사람은 있을는지 몰라도 의로운 사람을 위해 죽는 사람은 거의 없습니다.

8 그러나 우리가 아직 죄인이었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 사랑을 나타내셨습니다.

9 이제 우리가 그리스도의 피로 의롭다는 인정을 받았으니 틀림없이 그분을 통해 하나님의 2무서운 형벌에서 구원을 받을 것입니다.

10 우리가 하나님과 원수 되었을 때 그리스도의 죽으심으로 하나님과 화목하게 되었다면 화목을 이룬 우리가 그의 살으심으로 구원받게 될 것은 뻔한 일입니다.

11 그러나 이것이 전부가 아닙니다. 우리를 하나님과 화목하게 하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통해 우리는 하나님 안에서 기쁨도 누리고 있는 것입니다.

아담과 그리스도와의 대조

12 한 사람을 통해 죄가 이 세상에 들어왔고 죄를 통해 죽음이 온 것처럼 모든 사람이 죄를 지었기 때문에 온 인류에게 죽음이 퍼지게 되었습니다.

13 율법이 있기 전에도 세상에 죄가 있었으나 그 때는 율법이 없어서 죄를 죄로 여기지 않았습니다.

14 그럼에도 불구하고 죽음은 아담으로부터 모세에 이르기까지 아담이 지은 죄를 짓지 않은 사람들까지 지배하였습니다. 아담은 3오실 그리스도의 모형이었습니다.

15 그러나 하나님이 거저 주시는 선물은 아담이 지은 죄와 같지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 아담 한 사람이 지은 죄로 많은 사람이 죽었지만 하나님의 은혜와 한 사람 예수 그리스도의 은혜의 선물은 더 많은 사람에게 넘쳤기 때문입니다.

16 또 거저 주시는 이 선물은 한 사람의 범죄로 인해 생긴 결과와 같지 않습니다. 한 사람이 지은 죄로 모든 사람이 죄인이라는 심판을 받게 되었으나 하나님이 거저 주시는 은혜의 선물로 많은 죄인들이 의롭다는 인정을 받게 되었기 때문입니다.

17 한 사람이 지은 죄로 죽음이 사람을 지배하였으나 하나님의 풍성한 은혜와 의의 선물을 받는 모든 사람들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통해 생명을 얻게 되었습니다.

18 그래서 한 사람의 범죄로 모든 사람이 죄인이라는 판정을 받게 된 것처럼 4한 사람의 의로운 행동으로 모든 사람이 의롭다는 인정을 받아 생명을 누리게 되었습니다.

19 한 사람이 순종치 않으므로 많은 사람이 죄인이 된 것같이 한 사람의 순종으로 많은 사람이 의롭게 될 것입니다.

20 율법이 들어와서 범죄가 늘어나게 되었으나 죄가 늘어난 곳에는 은혜도 더욱 풍성하였습니다.

21 그래서 죄가 죽음이란 수단으로 군림하게 된 것처럼 하나님의 은혜는 의로 군림하여 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통해 우리를 영원한 생명으로 인도하게 되었습니다.

Romans 5

1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;2 through whom also we have had our access by faith into this grace wherein we stand; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.3 And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness;4 and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope:5 and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us.6 For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: for peradventure for the good man some one would even dare to die.8 But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him.10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;11 and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:--13 for until the law sin was in the world; but sin is not imputed when there is no law.14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come.15 But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.16 And not as through one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment came of one unto condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses unto justification.17 For if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall they that receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, even Jesus Christ.18 So then as through one trespass the judgment came unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness the free gift came unto all men to justification of life.19 For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one shall the many be made righteous.20 And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly:21 that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
