Rezultatul îndreptățirii

1 De aceea, fiindcă am fost îndreptățiți prin credință, avem pacet cu Dumnezeu prin Domnul nostru Isus Cristos,2 prin Care am intrat, prin credință, în acest har, în care stăm; și ne lăudăm în nădejdea slavei lui Dumnezeu.3 Dar nu numai atât, ci ne bucurăm și în necazuri, știind că necazul produce răbdare,4 răbdarea produce caracter matur, caracterul matur produce nădejde,5 iar nădejdea aceasta nu ne dezamăgește, întrucât dragostea lui Dumnezeu a fost turnată în inimile noastre prin Duhul Sfânt Care ne-a fost dat,6 pentru că, în timp ce noi eram neputincioși, Cristos a murit, la timpul potrivit, pentru cei neevlavioși.7 Foarte rar va muri cineva pentru un om drept, deși pentru un om bunt poate că cineva ar îndrăzni să moară.8 Însă Dumnezeu Și-a dovedit dragostea față de noi prin faptul că, în timp ce noi eram păcătoși, Cristos a murit pentru noi.9 Deci, cu atât mai mult acum, când am fost îndreptățiți prin sângele Lui, vom fi mântuiți prin El de mânia lui Dumnezeu .10 Căci dacă, în timp ce eram dușmani, am fost împăcați cu Dumnezeu prin moartea Fiului Său, cu atât mai mult acum , fiind împăcați cu El , vom fi mântuiți prin viața Lui.11 Și nu doar atât, dar ne și lăudăm în Dumnezeu prin Domnul nostru Isus Cristos, prin Care am primit împăcarea.

Moartea prin Adam, viața prin Cristos

12 De aceea, așa cum păcatul a intrat în lume printr-un singur om, iar prin păcat a intrat moartea, și astfel moartea a trecut la toți oamenii, prin aceasta toți au păcătuit.13 Căci, înainte de Lege, era păcat în lume, însă unde nu este Lege nu se ține o socoteală a păcatelor.14 Totuși, moartea a domnit de la Adam până la Moise, chiar și peste cei care n-au păcătuit printr-o încălcare a poruncii, cum a făcut Adam, care este un arhetip al Celui Ce urma să vină.

15 Însă cu darul nu este ca și cu greșeala. Căci dacă cei mulți au murit prin greșeala unuia singur, cu mult mai mult harul lui Dumnezeu și darul făcut în harul unui Singur Om, Isus Cristos, s-au dat din belșug celor mulți.16 Iar darul nu a venit ca printr-acel unul singur care a păcătuit. Fiindcă judecata venită printr-unul singur a adus condamnarea, însă darul, care a urmat după multe păcate, a adus achitarea.17 Căci dacă prin greșeala unuia singur moartea a domnit prin acel unul, cu atât mai mult vor domni în viață cei ce primesc belșugul harului și darul dreptății prin Acel Unul Singur, Isus Cristos.18 Deci, așa cum printr-o singură greșeală a venit o condamnare pentru toți oamenii, tot astfel, printr-un singur act drept a venit o îndreptățire pentru toți oamenii, care duce la viață.19 Căci așa cum, prin neascultarea unui singur om, cei mulți au fost făcuți păcătoși, tot astfel, prin ascultarea Unuia Singur, cei mulți vor fi făcuți drepți.20 Legea a venit pentru ca să se înmulțească greșeala; însă, acolo unde s-a înmulțit păcatul, harul a fost mai din belșug,21 pentru ca, așa cum păcatul a domnit prin moarte, tot astfel să domnească și harul lui Dumnezeu prin dreptate, ducând la viața veșnică prin Isus Cristos, Domnul nostru.

ROMANS 5

What It Means //To Be Acceptable //to God

1 By faith we have been made acceptable to God. And now, thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ, we have peacet with God. 2 Christ has also introduced ust to God's gift of undeserved grace on which we now take our stand. So we are happy, as we look forward to sharing in the glory of God. 3 But that's not all! We gladly suffer, t because we know that suffering helps us to endure. 4 And endurance builds character, which gives us a hope

5 that will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love.
6 Christ died for us at a time when we were helpless and sinful. 7 No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though someone might be willing to die for a truly good person.

8 But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful.
9 But there is more! Now that God has accepted us because Christ sacrificed his life's blood, we will also be kept safe from God's anger. 10 Even when we were God's enemies, he made peace with us, because his Son died for us. Yet something even greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, we will be saved by the life of his Son.

11 And in addition to everything else, we are happy because God sent our Lord Jesus Christ to make peace with us.

Adam and Christ

14 Yet death still had power over all who lived from the time of Adam to the time of Moses. This happened, though not everyone disobeyed a direct command from God, as Adam did.
In some ways Adam is like Christ who came later.

15 But the gift of God's undeserved grace was very different from Adam's sin. That one sin brought death to many others. Yet in an even greater way, Jesus Christ alone brought God's gift of undeserved grace to many people.
16 There is a lot of difference between Adam's sin and God's gift. That one sin led to punishment. But God's gift made it possible for us to be acceptable to him, even though we have sinned many times.

17 Death ruled like a king because Adam had sinned. But that cannot compare with what Jesus Christ has done. God has treated us with undeserved grace, and he has accepted us because of Jesus. And so we will live and rule like kings.
18  t Everyone was going to be punished because Adam sinned. But because of the good thing that Christ has done, God accepts us and gives us the gift of life.

19 Adam disobeyed God and caused many others to be sinners. But Jesus obeyed him and will make many people acceptable to God.
20 The Law came, so that the full power of sin could be seen. Yet where sin was powerful, God's gift of undeserved grace was even more powerful. 21 Sin ruled by means of death. But God's gift of grace now rules, and God has accepted us because of Jesus Christ our Lord. This means that we will have eternal life.
