โรม 6

1 เช่นนี้แล้วเราจะว่าอย่างไร ? เราควรจะทำบาปต่อไปเพื่อพระคุณจะได้มีมากยิ่งขึ้นหรือ ?2 อย่าให้เป็นเช่นนั้นเลย! เราได้ตายต่อบาปแล้ว เราจะดำเนินชีวิตในบาปต่อไปได้อย่างไร ?3 ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าเราทั้งปวงที่รับบัพติศมาเข้าในพระเยซูคริสต์ก็ได้รับบัพติศมาเข้าในความตายของพระองค์ ?

4 ฉะนั้นเราจึงถูกฝังไว้กับพระองค์แล้วโดยการบัพติศมาเข้าในความตาย เพื่อว่าเราเองก็จะได้มีชีวิตใหม่เช่นเดียวกับที่ทรงให้พระคริสต์เป็นขึ้นจากตายโดยพระเกียรติสิริของพระบิดา
5 ถ้าเราได้มีส่วนร่วมกับพระองค์ในการตายเหมือนพระองค์ แน่นอนเราจะมีส่วนร่วมในการเป็นขึ้นจากตายเหมือนพระองค์6 เพราะเรารู้ว่าตัวเก่าของเราถูกตรึงไว้กับพระองค์แล้วเพื่อกายบาปนั้นจะถูกขจัดไป t เพื่อเราจะไม่เป็นทาสบาปอีกต่อไป

7 เพราะว่าผู้ใดที่ตายแล้วก็เป็นอิสระจากบาป
8 ถ้าเราตายกับพระคริสต์แล้ว เราเชื่อว่าเราจะมีชีวิตกับพระองค์ด้วย9 เพราะเรารู้ว่าในเมื่อทรงให้พระคริสต์เป็นขึ้นจากตายแล้ว พระองค์จะไม่มีวันตายอีก ความตายไม่มีอำนาจเหนือพระองค์อีกต่อไป

10 ที่พระองค์ทรงตายนั้นทรงตายต่อบาปครั้งเดียวเป็นพอ แต่ที่พระองค์ทรงมีชีวิตอยู่นั้นทรงมีชีวิตอยู่เพื่อพระเจ้า
11 ในทำนองเดียวกันจงถือว่าตัวท่านเองตายต่อบาปและมีชีวิตอยู่เพื่อพระเจ้าในพระเยซูคริสต์12 เหตุฉะนั้นอย่าให้บาปครอบครองกายที่ต้องตายของท่าน ซึ่งทำให้ท่านต้องยอมทำตามความปรารถนาชั่วของกายนั้น13 อย่ายกส่วนต่างๆ ในกายของท่านให้แก่บาปเป็นเครื่องมือของความชั่วร้าย แต่จงถวายตัวของท่านเองแด่พระเจ้าในฐานะผู้ที่ทรงให้มีชีวิต เป็นขึ้นจากตาย และถวายส่วนต่างๆ ในกายของท่านแด่พระองค์ให้เป็นเครื่องมือของความชอบธรรม

14 เพราะบาปจะไม่เป็นนายของท่านอีกต่อไป ด้วยว่าท่านไม่ได้อยู่ใต้บทบัญญัติแต่อยู่ใต้พระคุณ
ทาสของความชอบธรรม
15 เช่นนี้แล้วจะเป็นอย่างไรต่อไป ? เราจะทำบาปเพราะเราไม่ได้อยู่ใต้บทบัญญัติแต่อยู่ใต้พระคุณ
หรือ ? อย่าให้เป็นเช่นนั้นเลย!16 ท่านไม่รู้หรือว่าเมื่อท่านยอมตัวเชื่อฟังเยี่ยงทาสต่อผู้ใด ท่านก็เป็นทาสของผู้ที่ท่านเชื่อฟังนั้น ? ไม่ว่าท่านจะเป็นทาสของบาปซึ่งนำไปสู่ความตาย หรือเป็นทาสของการเชื่อฟังซึ่งนำไปสู่ความชอบธรรมก็ตาม17 แต่ขอบพระคุณพระเจ้าที่แม้ท่านเคยเป็นทาสของบาป ท่านก็เชื่อฟังคำสอนซึ่งทรงมอบหมายแก่ท่านนั้นอย่างสุดใจ

18 ท่านได้รับการปลดปล่อยให้เป็นอิสระจากบาปและได้กลายเป็นทาสของความชอบธรรมแล้ว
19 ข้าพเจ้าพูดเช่นนี้ตามประสามนุษย์ก็เพราะท่านอ่อนแอตามปกติวิสัยของท่าน เมื่อก่อนท่านเคยให้ส่วนต่างๆ ในกายของท่านเป็นทาสของความโสโครกและความชั่วร้ายที่เพิ่มขึ้นไม่สิ้นสุดอย่างไร บัดนี้ก็จงให้ส่วนต่างๆ นั้นเป็นทาสของความชอบธรรมซึ่งนำมาสู่ความบริสุทธิ์อย่างนั้น20 เมื่อท่านเป็นทาสของบาป ท่านก็ไม่ได้อยู่ภายใต้การควบคุมของความชอบธรรม21 ครั้งนั้นท่านได้เก็บเกี่ยวประโยชน์อะไรจากสิ่งเหล่านั้นซึ่งบัดนี้ท่านก็ละอายแก่ใจ ? ผลลัพธ์ของสิ่งเหล่านั้นคือความตาย!22 แต่บัดนี้ท่านเป็นอิสระจากบาปและได้กลายมาเป็นทาสของพระเจ้าแล้ว ประโยชน์ที่ท่านได้เก็บเกี่ยวนำไปสู่ความบริสุทธิ์ และผลลัพธ์คือชีวิตนิรันดร์

23 เพราะว่าค่าตอบแทนที่ได้จากบาปคือความตาย แต่ของขวัญจากพระเจ้าคือชีวิตนิรันดร์ใน t พระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา

Romans 6

1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?2 God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?3 Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection;6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;7 for he that hath died is justified from sin.8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.10 For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.11 Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:13 neither present your members unto sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.16 Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?17 But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;18 and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness.19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness unto sanctification.20 For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness.21 What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.22 But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.23 For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
