7 แล้ว_จะ_ว่า_ยัง_ไง_ดี กฎ_นั้น_บาป_หรือ ไม่_มี_ทาง อันที่_จริง_ถ้า_ไม่_มี_กฎ ผม_ก็_ไม่_รู้_หรอก_ว่า_บาป_คือ_อะไร เพราะ_ถ้า_ไม่_มี_กฎ_เขียน_ไว้_ว่า “อย่า_โลภ”t ผม_ไม่_มี_ทาง_รู้_ว่า_ความ_โลภ_เป็น_อย่าง_ไร

8 แต่_บาป_ได้_ฉวย_โอกาส_เอา_กฎ_นั้น_มา_ทำ_ให้_ผม_เกิด_ความ_โลภ_ทุก_ชนิด ถ้า_ไม่_มี_กฎ บาป_ก็_หมด_ฤทธิ์_เดชไป_แล้ว

9 ครั้ง_หนึ่ง_ผม_เคย_มี_ชีวิต_อยู่_โดย_ไม่_มี_กฎ แต่_พอ_มี_กฎ_ขึ้น_มา_บาป_ก็_ฟื้น_คืน_ชีพ

10 แต่_ผม_กลับ_ต้อง_ตาย ปรากฏ_ว่า_กฎ_อัน_นี้_เอง_ที่_เคย_มี_ไว้เพื่อ_นำ_ชีวิต_มา_ให้ กลับ_มา_ทำ_ให้_ผม_ต้อง_ตาย

11 เพราะ_บาป_ได้_ฉวย_โอกาส_ใช้_กฎ_นั้น_มา_ล่อลวง_ผม_และ_ฆ่า_ผม

12 ดัง_นั้น_สรุป_ได้_ว่า_กฎ_นั้น_ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ และ_บัญญัติ_นั้น_ก็_ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ยุติธรรม_และ_ดี_ด้วย

14 เรา_รู้_ว่า_กฎ_นั้น_มา_จาก_พระ_วิญญาณ แต่_ผม_เป็น_แค่_มนุษย์_ธรรมดา_ๆที่_ถูก_ขาย_ไป_เป็น_ทาส_อยู่_ใต้_บังคับ_ของ_บาป

15 ผม_ไม่_เข้า_ใจ_หรอก_ว่า_ทำ_ไม_ผม_ถึง_ทำ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ผม_ทำ เพราะ_สิ่ง_ที่_ผม_อยาก_ทำ_ผม_ก็_ไม่_ได้_ทำ แต่_ผม_กลับ_ไป_ทำ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ผม_เกลียด

16 ถ้า_ผม_ทำ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ผม_ไม่_อยาก_ทำ นั่น_แสดง_ว่า_ผม_เห็น_ด้วย_กับ_กฎ_และ_ยอมรับ_ว่า_กฎ_นั้น_ดี

17 ความ_จริง_แล้ว ไม่_ใช่_ตัว_ผม_หรอก_ที่_ทำ_สิ่ง_นี้ แต่_บาป_ที่_อยู่_ใน_ตัว_ผม_ต่าง_หาก_ที่_ทำ

18 ใช่ ผม_รู้_ว่า_สิ่ง_ที่_ดี_นั้น_ไม่_ได้_อยู่_ใน_ตัว_ผม คือ_ใน_สันดาน_ของ_ผม_ที่_เป็น_มนุษย์_ฝ่าย_เนื้อ_หนัง_นี้_หรอก ผม_อยาก_จะ_ทำ_ดี_แต่_ก็_ทำ_ไม่_ได้

19 สิ่ง_ดีๆ_ที่_ผม_อยาก_ทำ_นั้น ผม_ไม่_ได้_ทำ แต่_กลับ_ไป_ทำ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ชั่ว_ร้าย_ที่_ผม_ไม่_อยาก_ทำ

20 เพราะ_ฉะนั้น_ถ้า_ผม_ทำ_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ผม_ไม่_อยาก_ทำ ก็_แสดง_ว่า_ไม่_ใช่_ผม_ที่_เป็น_คน_ทำ แต่_เป็น_บาป_ที่_อยู่_ใน_ผม_ต่าง_หาก_ที่_ทำ

21 ผม_เลย_ค้น_พบ_กฎ_ข้อ_หนึ่ง_ว่า เมื่อ_ไร_ก็_ตาม_ที่_ผม_อยาก_จะ_ทำ_ดี ความ_ชั่ว_จะ_อยู่_ที่_นั่น_กับ_ผม_เสมอ

24 ผม_นี่_น่า_สมเพช_จริงๆ_ใคร_จะ_ช่วย_ชีวิต_ผม_ให้_พ้น_จาก_ร่าง_กาย_นี้_ที่_นำ_ความ_ตาย_มา_ให้_กับ_ผม_ได้_บ้าง

25 ขอบคุณ_พระเจ้า ผ่าน_ทาง_พระ_เยซู_คริสต_เจ้า_ของ_เรา ใจ_ของ_ผม_นั้น_เป็น_ทาส_ของ_กฎ_ของ_พระเจ้า แต่_สันดาน_ของ_ผม_นั้น_เป็น_ทาส_ของ_กฎ_แห่ง_บาป

Romans 7

Believers United to Christ

1 Or do you not know, brethren (for I am speaking to those who know the law), that the law has jurisdiction over a person as long as he lives?2 For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.3 So then, if while her husband is living she is joined to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress though she is joined to another man.

4 Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.5 For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.6 But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the tSpirit and not in oldness of the letter.

7 What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, "YOU SHALL NOT COVET."8 But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.9 I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin became alive and I died;10 and this commandment, which was to result in life, proved to result in death for me;11 for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.12 So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13 Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.

The Conflict of Two Natures

14 For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin.15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.
