III.— RECTA CONDUCTA CRISTIANA Y SUS FUNDAMENTOS (2,1—3,7)
Deberes de los diferentes estados
1 Por tu parte, enseña en conformidad con la auténtica doctrinat.t 2 Que los ancianost sean sobrios, serios y prudentes; que vivan con autenticidad la fe, la paciencia y el amor.t 3 Y las ancianas lo mismo: que se comporten como corresponde a creyentes; que no sean calumniadoras ni esclavas del vino, sino maestras de bondad.t 4 Enseñarán así a las jóvenes a ser esposas y madres amantes,
5 a ser sensatas y castas, a cuidar con esmero de su casa, a ser bondadosas y respetuosas con sus maridos para que nadie pueda hablar mal de la palabra de Dios.t
6 Exhorta igualmente a los jóvenes a ser equilibrados, 7 presentándote tú mismo en todo como un modelo de buena conducta. Sé íntegro en la enseñanza, serio en el comportamiento,t
8 auténtico e irreprochable en el hablar. De ese modo el enemigo quedará en evidencia al no tener nada malo que decir contra nosotros.t
9 Que los esclavos respeten siempre la autoridad de sus amos y traten de agradarlos. Que no los contradigant
10 ni los engañen*. Al contrario, que les profesen una perfecta y plena fidelidad para así honrar en cualquier circunstancia la enseñanza recibida de Dios, nuestro Salvadort.Jesucristo como fundamento de nuestra salvación
11 Se ha hecho, en efecto, visible la bondad de Dios que trae la salvación a toda la humanidad, 12 enseñándonos a renunciar a la impiedad y a las pasiones desordenadas de este mundo, y a vivir desde ahora de una manera sobria, recta y fiel a Diost,t 13 mientras aguardamos el feliz cumplimiento de lo que estamos esperando: la manifestación gloriosa* del gran Dios y Salvador nuestro Jesucristot. 14 Fue él quien se entregó por nosotros a fin de liberarnos de toda maldad y de prepararse un pueblo limpio y elegido, totalmente entregado a la práctica del bien.t 15 Esto es lo que tienes que enseñar, aconsejar y defender con toda autoridad. Y que nadie te menosprecie.t
Titus 2
Conduct Consistent with Sound Teaching
1 But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes witht sound teaching.2 Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled,t sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.s3 Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.4 In this wayt they will traint the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children,5 to be self-controlled,t pure, fulfilling their duties at home,t kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the messaget of God may not be discredited.t6 Encourage younger men likewise to be self-controlled,t7 showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,8 and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss,t because he has nothing evil to say about us.9 Slavest are to be subject to their own masters in everything,t to do what is wanted and not talk back,
10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith,t in order to bring credit tot the teaching of God our Savior in everything.
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.t12 It trains ust to reject godless wayst and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,13 as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearingt of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.t14 Het gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his,t who are eager to do good.t
15 So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuket that carries full authority.t Don’t let anyone look downt on you.
