TITO 2

El pastoreo de una iglesia

1 Tus palabras deben estar siempre de acuerdo con la sana enseñanza.t 2 Los ancianost han de ser serios, respetables y de buen juicio; sanos en su fe, en su amor y en su fortaleza para soportar el sufrimiento.t 3 Igualmente, las ancianas han de portarse con reverencia y no ser chismosast ni esclavas del mucho vino. Deben dar buen ejemplot 4 y enseñar a las jóvenes a amar a sus esposos y a sus hijos,

5 a ser juiciosas, puras, cuidadosas del hogar, bondadosas y sujetas a sus esposos,t para que nadie pueda hablar mal del mensaje de Dios.t
6 Anima igualmente a los jóvenes a ser juiciosos, 7 y dales tú mismo un buen ejemplo en todo.t Al enseñarles, hazlo con toda purezat y seriedad,

8 hablando de una manera sana,t que nadie pueda condenar. Así, cualquiera que se ponga en contra tendrá que avergonzarse, pues no podrá decir nada malo de nosotros.t
9 Aconseja a los esclavos que obedezcan en todo a sus amos; que sean amables y no respondones;t

10 que no roben, sino que sean completamente honrados, para que todos vean en su vida lo hermosa que es la enseñanza acerca de Dios nuestro Salvador.
11 Dios nos ha mostrado su bondad, que trae la salvación a toda la humanidad.t 12 Esa bondad de Dios nos enseña a dejar la maldad y los deseos mundanos y a llevar en este mundo una vida de moderación, rectitud y devoción a Dios, 13 mientras esperamos el feliz cumplimiento de aquello que se nos ha prometido,t el regreso glorioso de nuestro gran Dios y Salvador Jesucristo.t

14 Él se entregó a la muerte por nosotros,t para salvarnos de toda maldadt y limpiarnos totalmente, para que seamos suyos,t deseosos de hacer el bien.
15 Esto es lo que tienes que enseñar, animando y reprendiendo con toda autoridad. Que nadie te desprecie.t

Titus 2

Conduct Consistent with Sound Teaching

1 But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes witht sound teaching.2 Older men are to be temperate, dignified, self-controlled,t sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.s3 Older women likewise are to exhibit behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to excessive drinking, but teaching what is good.4 In this wayt they will traint the younger women to love their husbands, to love their children,5 to be self-controlled,t pure, fulfilling their duties at home,t kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the messaget of God may not be discredited.t6 Encourage younger men likewise to be self-controlled,t7 showing yourself to be an example of good works in every way. In your teaching show integrity, dignity,8 and a sound message that cannot be criticized, so that any opponent will be at a loss,t because he has nothing evil to say about us.9 Slavest are to be subject to their own masters in everything,t to do what is wanted and not talk back,

10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith,t in order to bring credit tot the teaching of God our Savior in everything.
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people.t12 It trains ust to reject godless wayst and worldly desires and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,13 as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearingt of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.t14 Het gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his,t who are eager to do good.t

15 So communicate these things with the sort of exhortation or rebuket that carries full authority.t Don’t let anyone look downt on you.
