TIT. 2

Toa Mafundisho Mema

1  tLakini wewe nena mambo yapasayo mafundisho yenye uzima; 2 tya kwamba wazee wawe wenye kiasi, wastahivu, wenye busara, wazima katika imani na katika upendo na katika saburi. 3 tVivyo hivyo na wazee wa kike wawe na mwenendo wa utakatifu; wasiwe wasingiziaji, wasiwe wenye kutumia mvinyo nyingi, bali wafundishao mema; 4 ili wawatie wanawake vijana akili, wawapende waume zao, na kuwapenda watoto wao;

5 tna kuwa wenye kiasi, kuwa safi, kufanya kazi nyumbani mwao, kuwa wema, kuwatii waume zao wenyewe; ili neno la Mungu lisitukanwe.
6 Vivyo hivyo na vijana waume uwaonye kuwa na kiasi; 7 tkatika mambo yote ukijionyesha wewe mwenyewe kuwa kielelezo cha matendo mema, na katika mafundisho yako ukionyesha usahihi na ustahivu,

8 tna maneno yenye uzima yasiyoweza kuhukumiwa makosa, ili yule mwenye kupinga atahayarike, kwa kuwa hana neno baya la kunena juu yetu.
9  tWatumwa na wawatii bwana zao, wakiwapendeza katika mambo yote; wasiwe wenye kujibu, 10 twasiwe waibaji; bali wauonyeshe uaminifu mwema wote, ili wayapambe mafundisho ya Mwokozi wetu Mungu katika mambo yote. 11 Maana neema ya Mungu iwaokoayo wanadamu wote imefunuliwa; 12 tnayo yatufundisha kukataa ubaya na tamaa za kidunia; tupate kuishi kwa kiasi, na haki, na utauwa, katika ulimwengu huu wa sasa; 13 ttukilitazamia tumaini lenye baraka na mafunuo ya utukufu wa Kristo Yesu, Mungu mkuu na Mwokozi wetu;

14 tambaye alijitoa nafsi yake kwa ajili yetu, ili atukomboe na maasi yote, na kujisafishia watu wawe milki yake mwenyewe, wale walio na juhudi katika matendo mema.
15  tNena maneno hayo, onya na kukaripia kwa mamlaka yote; asikudharau mtu awaye yote.

TITUS 2

Instructions for Different Groups //of People

1 Titus, you must teach only what is correct.

2 Tell the older men to have self-control and to be serious and sensible. Their faith, love, and patience must never fail.
3 Tell the older women to behave as those who love the Lord should. They must not gossip about others or be slaves of wine. They must teach what is proper, 4 so the younger women will be loving wives and mothers.

5 Each of the younger women must be sensible and kind, as well as a good homemaker, who puts her own husband first. Then no one can say insulting things about God's message.

6 Tell the young men to have self-control in everything.
7 Always set a good example for others. Be sincere and serious when you teach.

8 Use clean language that no one can criticize. Do this, and your enemies will be too ashamed to say anything against you.
9 Tell slaves always to please their owners by obeying them in everything. Slaves must not talk back to their owners

10 or steal from them. They must be completely honest and trustworthy. Then everyone will show great respect for what is taught about God our Savior.

God's Kindness and //the New Life

14 t He gave himself to rescue us from everything evil and to make our hearts pure. He wanted us to be his own people and to be eager to do right.
15 Teach these things, as you use your full authority to encourage and correct people. Make sure you earn everyone's respect.
