Matthew 6:33 ASV

Over my holidays I had some great revelation that really changed the way I saw lots of stuff. I love it when a revelation does that.

The revelation was this: The Kingdom of God is the ONLY thing really worth pursuing. It's like, the Kingdom of God needs to be our outer framework by which we do everything and see everything. It totally rocked my world. Let me see if I can explain it any better.

We all yearn to do something worthwhile, bear fruit that lasts, store up for ourselves treasure in heaven and change the world. By seeking first the Kingdom of God (His authority and rule in our own lives and seeing his realm established here on earth - See Hebrew word malkuth and Greek word basileia) we are doing ALL of these things!

We need to shift our thinking and take the focus from ME (my career, my time, my rest, my ministry, my work, my job, me!) to having a Kingdom mentality.

This looks like doing everything through a kingdom perspective. We ask the question: Is what I'm doing productive for the kingdom of God? That could be growing yourself, sowing into someone else, ministering to someone (or a group of people), developing leaders, even RESTING so you can be refreshed for doing more ministry. If we view what we do from a kingdom mindset our 'kingdom productivity' increases (potentially!), we submit more of our lives to God, we bear more fruit, see more people saved etc.

Shift your thinking. Ask God for revelations on what it means to have a kingdom perspective in your life.
