David's Thirst
David is living in a desert. His soul is a desert. His distant sins with Bathsheba and more recent sin against his daughter have resulted in Absalom's rebellion. He can find life in nothing. All seems lost.
But he thirsts for the One and Only. David will only be satisfied with Him. To see Him in all His glory is David's heart. To see the Lord "whose love is better than life" is David's desire.
