God among us
I find it pretty interesting that the author notes that God was "walking in the garden". Of course it serves as part of the story because Adam and Eve hear Him and are hiding, but I am more interested that He was actually walking on the earth, in physical form, being connected with creation. Who knows if He was thinking anything like, "I really liked how the color of these leafs turned out" or if He was currently too busy thinking about what Adam and Eve had just done.
But God was strolling in "the cool of the day". I can just imagine Him admiring it all, taking pleasure it it much like an artist takes pleasure in a completed painting or sculpture, only probably much more since it was as perfect as it was intended to be.
But, I wonder, how often do you think God is among us? Walking around, checking out the beauty that He has provided us, amongst all our chaos.
Just a thought...
